  1. C'mon folks - leaver-bashing is not a good look for the Forums. The price increase was a shock, and although it may be possible to get a good discount if you correctly downgrade your account to Free, that only lasts for the first year. If you don't feel Evernote's features are worth the cost, then it makes sense to find a cheaper alternative. NB: If you are leaving it is essential to downgrade your account. Go to https://www.evernote.com/BillyBillingProfile.action (it's the 'Billing' page of your online account) and check out the very bottom of the page, just above "Terms of Service". 'Cancel your Evernote subscription' is there - choosing it will downgrade you to Free. Not choosing it will likely result in you paying a subscription and having to contact Support for a refund. Cancelling the subscription is entirely in your own hands.
  2. Hi. I just updated to 10.87.6 but didn't get prompted for any changes. Have a look on the main Defender Firewall window though for "Allow an app or feature through the Windows Defender Firewall" If you follow that link you'll find a (surprisingly long) list of all apps with permissions, and on my system Evernote already has access to both public and private networks - as do many other apps that depend on online access like my mail client and installed browsers. If you're using all of Evernote's features and syncing to the server, it needs the fullest access to be able to work correctly.
  3. I have Win 11 and 24-hour times - not sure why our experiences are different...
  4. I sit corrected - I was thinking that installing v10 gives you immediate(ish) access to your historical notes and also a place to export notebooks from within Evernote if that is easier.
  5. Hmmn. Sorry for that - do you use 'share' in Android to send a file to your database? Have you tried emailing attachments to your account? https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005347-Save-emails-into-Evernote
  6. Regardless of the proprieties involved here, the fact is that Evernote Legacy is no longer available, and is not coming back. The easiest and most efficient way to retrieve the current content of an account is to install v10 on a desktop and subscribe for one month. Export existing notebooks to ENEX to migrate elsewhere, or HTML for long-term local access. If that's impractical for any reason, free third-party software does exist that downloads an account (again to desktop) for backup purposes - I've no idea whether a local Evernote install is required or not (can anyone else confirm?). The software is Windows/ Mac/ Linux compatible, and saves notes to ENEX format. https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup Rather than agonize over the details I'd suggest it's more practical to rescue what is available as soon as possible...
  7. Hi. There's a pinned note widget - is that what you're having trouble with?
  8. Hi. Your notes are safe, just - apparently - not available to you at the moment. There's some help below on passwords and access to accounts as a free user... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313998-Change-your-password https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/28473709485331-Unable-to-create-new-notes-as-a-Free-user EDIT: Also please don't post more than once on any topic - I deleted your other post on this.
  9. You could also consider subscribing...
  10. Hi. Clearly not expected behaviour - and not a common thing either. It is is anything to do with Evernote you should be able to fix it by a Revo uninstall / power off and back on / reinstall with a fresh download from Evernote.com. If the situation continues I'd suspect you security software of being over zealous...
  11. There have been some satisfied responses from the forums here that individual issues have been resolved, and the frequency of bug-fix updates suggests that staff are working on issues reported to them. Their priorities may not satisfy your individual preferences, but its clear that work is being done...
  12. Already implemented in the desktop version...
  13. Hmmn. Win 11 and no issues here... I'd definitely recommend contacting Support. Extreme patience will be required, and please respond to any automatic responses you get. Meantime hopefully you still have access to the web and mobile clients?
  14. Hi. We're not Evernote - mostly other users here; contact Support if you believe this is an Evernote fault. However if you have genuinely Revo uninstalled the previous application and downloaded a fresh version it would seem most likely that it is something about your system that is preventing the installation. What's your device and OS version, and how much free local storage space do you have?
  15. I don't believe so - whatever method you use, you need to move your notes if you plan to close the Teams account down. But moving the content will impact the upload limit of your personal account. If you truly have a 247GB account you'd need more than a year's worth of imports - one per month - to transfer the data across. I'd suggest you contact Support (and exercise extreme patience...) to see whether you could downgrade the Teams account to Personal and maybe merge your accounts together? Beware that the usual tactic of downgrading to 'free' doesn't (AFAIK) work with Teams accounts - they're not typically owned by one person, they're a corporate account, so non-payment typically shuts access to the account down completely.
  16. Hmmn. It does seem that Chrome has a problem with logging into Evernote. Safari has been mentioned in this thread - has anyone tried Firefox or Safari?
  17. Create a new note - copy content across - delete old note.
  18. Evernote are aware of the logout issue - I just found this online... Note: We have recently updated our authentication flow for security reasons, causing user sessions to expire more frequently to keep your account safe. If you're being logged out after the Evernote tab has been reopened after a few hours, please know that is normal behavior. If you're being logged out of Evernote Web as soon as you log in, or you're being logged out frequently throughout the day, please find a workaround below: Log in through this page Go to https://www.evernote.com/client/web Clean your browser’s cache If none of this helps, try using a different browser. If the issue persists, please proceed to contact us, providing the following information: A screenshot or screen recording displaying the issue. The device you're using and its OS version. The browser you're using and its version. The URLs displayed during the process. The URL may cycle through different links, you can copy/paste them into the email you send us. - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us and search "Evernote Web" - scroll down... EDIT: Found the URL - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/29147324292243-What-to-do-if-you-re-being-logged-out-immediately-from-Evernote-Web
  19. Hi. Someone reads every post you submit - in this case it was me; and I deleted your multi-paragraph rant against the AI taking over the world because it's irrelevant here. Evernote has specific policies about personal data - see https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313518-How-does-Evernote-use-my-personal-information-and-data. There is no AI element here unless users choose to involve it.
  20. Hi. Try uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller Free to completely remove a possibly corrupted installation from your system, re-download from Evernote.com and reinstall.
  21. Hmmn. We only see occasional reports of logouts and payment issues here, but I guess this might be related to Evernote's more secure authentication process. Only way to tell is to contact Support - try https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true. You'll need to be very patient, and when you get a boilerplate "try this" response, make sure you reply to confirm whether you've tried all the options.
  22. For internal links to work, you need to be in a locally hosted environment - the local Google folder, rather than the web version forinstance. All to do with OS and browser reluctance to allow remote commands to start local actions. I use third party apps to open Evernote notes directly with the internal (evernote:///) links - if the permissions don't align I occasionally get the web app opening, but more often nothing at all happens. I don't think that's something which Evernote can fix transparently for the user - it's just down to using the right links. If necessary you could embed both an internal and a web link in a third-party document to make sure you can always opening something...
  23. Sorry but - - and you weren't even using the latest version. "Legacy" is not coming back.
  24. It's very bad database practice to have two versions of anything. Evernote could use a 'mirror' or transclusion feature where one note can appear in two or more places, maybe by using a different form of internal link. I just use tags for the moment...
  25. Not even sure Scannable is still supported... and this is not Support; mostly other users here.
