  1. Hi. You could ask... https://twitter.com/evernotehelps Or you could read... https://evernote.com/legal/trademark-use
  2. If you're editing a specific file, a standard system lock can either prevent you changing the file, or offer you the option of 'taking over' access to it. When you're logged into the Evernote server database on two (or more) devices, it can't offer you the same option without closing down all but one connection, which would be as annoying to users as remembering not to use two devices at the same time when editing.
  3. Don't know if there are different font rules for basic users or not. Subscribers can at least refer the issue to Support and find out why font selection doesn't 'stick' (if that's what is happening here...)
  4. Hi. What device and Evernote version are you using, and are these Youtube links you're pasting? Short term work-around might be to use a text or a word-processing app on the device, and paste into that document, then attach the file to a note.
  5. Hi. When clipping (in a browser), highlight the part you want to see and then 'clip selection' to just get part of the page. You may be able to multi-select for more than one area, or just clip separate areas and merge the notes after. (Also consider an -editable- screen shot.) If your clip shows as HTML use the magic wand (hover over the top bar in the clip window) to make the content editable. Beware that editing may have 'variable' results - clips contain hidden code characters that define style and layout. Inadvertently messing with these can corrupt some or all of the display. If your editing issue is not due to HTML: what, exactly, is stopping you from editing the clip?
  6. Hi. Not sure what help you're looking for here. You could check to see whether this is your local system by using Legacy for a while; or try File > Exiting Evernote and then signing in again, or (if the situation continues) powering off and restarting your device: but 'sometimes' and 'after a while' means this is an intermittent and probably low priority issue, unless it has been reported by others. As you're a subscriber, you could reach out to Support (we're not them) to see whether they've had any other comments on this.
  7. Sorry - I just realised you already quoted a ticket number. I flagged # 3330127 for our Evernote admin to take a look at!
  8. Sure. Have a browse through here - https://www.phraseexpress.com/ - it's possible to save words & phrases and some frequently-used expressions like 'today' and invoke the action with a key combination. If you check out the support pages you should be able to find out how to set up the date in the format that you want it. There's a free level for personal use, and there are other expanders which you can find with an internet search. I just happen to use this one. I also use Textblaze which is a browser extension that does the same thing and is sometimes quicker to set up with new phrases.
  9. Hi. For this, you will need Evernote Support. Go here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and use the 'continue as guest' option to report your issue. When you get a ticket number please post it back here and we'll flag it for an Admin to have a look at...You can also try https://twitter.com/evernotehelps for assistance
  10. Hi. You can either use Evernote Legacy, or create a local shortcut in your OS and copy/ paste that shortcut into the note.
  11. Hi. There's nothing to help within Evernote, but you could add a table to your notes and have the file link in one column, and copied and pasted titles and summaries in the other?
  12. If all your introductions have also been using the free app to access bandwidth and server storage space over the past several years, I can't see Evernote grieving too much if that stops. Surely it makes sense that if you use an app to safeguard your data, you should subscribe to help cover some of the costs of maintaining the service? Apart from anything else you'd at least get access to help and to a Note History feature that might be useful. As it is, I don't know how much you use online services via the browser, but I've had various posts evaporate on me through an internet glitch - including here in this forum. I use a browser add-in that saves the last entry in any field to (mostly) restore any losses, and if I'm drafting at length I'll use a local word processor until it's complete and either include that file as an attachment to my note, or copy/ paste the content in as text. Bad things, as you've found, do happen - fairly often. There's a possibility that note history would include your note content, but it's not guaranteed; I'm sure that Evernote won't otherwise have any way to recover the content of (presumably) your browser cache. I'm afraid that you have to accept that the content is gone and start over - even if that is somewhere else. This is not a bug, thought it happens often enough when users rely on an internet browser to save information.
  13. Hi. Have you restarted your device since all this happened? If the third-party tags have persisted since the notes were shared, they may have fallen through some code cracks and become undeleteable. Logging out of Evernote and back in, or restarting the device should get rid of most things, but if they're (effectively) preserved by corrupted code in the affected notes you may have issues. If it's feasible you could try creating a new note on your system and then copy/ paste the content of a tagged note - then delete the tagged note. If that doesn't work, maybe move the tags into a 'wastebin' tag on your system so that at least they're not front and centre in your view?
  14. Hi. Go to Evernote support - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and use the 'continue as guest' option if necessary to report your issue. When you get a ticket number please post it back here and we'll flag it for an Admin to have a look at...You can also try https://twitter.com/evernotehelps for assistance
  15. Hi. There's more information here - hopefully that will help... Create your own templates
  16. Hi. I have no idea what that means. You get a blank note by just adding a new note. Subscribers can save notes as templates, containing anything they require. Basic users would need to export a template to a desktop ENEX file, and use that template to create a new note when required.
  17. Hi. Two ways - install Legacy, or use a text expander that will accept Ctrl+; as the keyboard trigger. More keyboard shortcuts are -allegedly- planned, but we don't know when they might be released.
  18. I'd imagine that it's a priority read for the devs, but as usual with Evernote, unless it's something mind-blowingly bad, they probably won't comment. The only way to be sure of a reaction is to contact Support - and I think the general comment goes "the developers are aware of this and are looking into it. We will work on a fix, but I can't say when it might be released..."
  19. ? If we're talking about text expanders, https://textexpander.com/ says it works on all of those operating systems... but; just a suggestion 😏
  20. Hi. I realise this isn't a fix, but to save some typing, have you looked at text expanders? You could save common searches with a keyboard shortcut, and even - with some of the services out there - include pauses for variables so you could (forinstance) insert a 'last X days' option where you add the number to start the search.
  21. Interesting view, but surely (he said very politely) Evernote encourages feedback here so that they can identify and fix problems, and help users who may be new to the software to find a way to complete their intended tasks working with, or around the features available. If you simply want to register that things aren't working for you and you're leaving, that's fine. Please say so clearly and exit the premises in an orderly manner. If you'd like to get some help to fix - or to work around - an issue, please give us your device / OS / Evernote version and a full description of the situation. In your description forinstance you don't say whether you're using the installed client or the web, but it may be that if you're using the web, it's the internet connection, a VPN or a firewall that contributes to your woes. And is it the "note failed to update" message that you're seeing? because the previous post here did get the suggestion in his own thread that 'un-updatable' notes are probably editable in Legacy if not v10. As a subscriber of course you can reach out to Support - they actually are Evernote employees, unlike most responses here, which are from other users who've been around for a while and can - usually - make useful suggestions. Evernote staffers will read your comments here when they get around to catching up. We're normally not judgemental or (excessively) rude, though maybe some humour doesn't exactly translate - you could be getting answers here from the US, Japan, UK and Germany amongst (probably) others.
  22. To be clear, it isn't necessarily a 'loss', it just hasn't happened yet. I could understand that before Evernote give users access to mess with their API, they want to make sure that it's complete with all its new features. And of course in the meantime you can always install the 'old' Legacy version and operate as before...
  23. I try not to use very long notes like that - too much risk (as you just found) that a single issue will be a major problem. If I'm making a series of notes about anything, they usually get their own notebook or tag and I'll save my next entry as <date><title> keywords... so that a search on title gets me all the content and the dates let me sort them in order. In this case you might want to keep this note content as a single word processor file attached to one note, and make subsequent entries as separate notes... maybe...
