  1. Since they had to totally rewrite the client software and the server backend processes, I guess it was always going to take a while...
  2. Hi. We're mainly other users here. Non-subscribers only have the feedback@evernote.com or Twitter / X routes to report an issue.
  3. If you used Revo, it will have removed every trace of your 'old' account and what you see is entirely a new installation. An index of all your notes will have been one of the things that downloaded, hence being able to see everything immediately. Some services take longer (depending on the size of the account and your internet speed) - hence the possibility that things will run a bit slower until everything catches up. But everything should be available and usable.
  4. Hi. If your notes are still present on the web, then the problem is with the local application. Try a clean reinstall - Sign out of Evernote if it's active / don't save your data locally / use Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) or Appcleaner (Mac) to uninstall the app. Power off and back on, then re-download and reinstall from Evernote.com and leave Evernote running to rebuild the local data. The new install is still initially a little slow - things get better after a few days.
  5. On a mobile, downloading all your notes is a low-priority background task so as not to impact your ability to use other functions. It can take a long time (days) to fully download a complete account. Offline operation can also be very slow depending on the device and the size of note being retrieved.
  6. Hi. No, but developments are being covered here - https://evernote.com/blog/30-improvements-april-june-2024
  7. But still unavailable without considerable further development of the linking feature. Feedback@evernote.com if you think that should happen...
  8. Hi. Note linking simply makes a connection between two notes. Connecting one note to another was never intended to allow you to control what happens to, or in, the connected note. You could suggest this as a feature to Evernote via feedback@evernote.com, but it's unknown when or whether it might become available. You haven't said which device you want to use for this process, but on a desktop it would be possible to open linked notes in their own separate window(s) so that they all remain available for further action even if a link is removed.
  9. I've already suggested a couple of options in your 'other' thread. Please don't post in more than one forum.
  10. Hi. Like many (most?) other apps, if you sign out of Evernote you need to be online to log in. If you use 'Quit' rather than signing out, you'll be able to continue to use the app - but beware that the parent copy of your notes is kept on Evernote's servers and changes are synced back and forth frequently. Offline use is meant to be an exception, not the rule.
  11. Do you have a support reference or ticket number? We can ask an Admin here to chase up your enquiry internally if you wish...
  12. If you want your installation to work, it's occasionally necessary to do some minor personal fixing; a reinstallation takes maybe 20 minutes, mostly waiting time. Yes, Evernote is a professional app used by millions. But they don't have a magic wand to fix your issue remotely, especially when it may be due to something like a corrupted file caused by local internet connection issues. If you'd like more help, please post your device and OS details and contact Support. Otherwise we'll leave you to find an alternative note-taking service. Your notes will be available (but not exportable) if you sign in via Evernote.com. You will need a working desktop application to export notes.
  13. Hi. You're mostly disparaging other users here - use feedback@evernote.com to register your distaste (no replies) or contact Support for actual help with your issue. Plus - try uninstalling your existing app with Revo Uninstaller Free (Windows) or Appcleaner (Mac) and re-download / reinstall from Evernote.com to resolve your issue.
  14. Hmmn. OK - if it's on all your devices, it appears that it is the server index that is faulty - you could maybe confirm this with a 'clean' reinstall - Sign out of Evernote / don't save your data locally / use Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) or Appcleaner (Mac) to uninstall the app. Power off and back on, then re-download and reinstall from Evernote.com and leave Evernote running to rebuild the local data. The new install is still initially a little slow - things get better after a few days. That should not affect your internal links, and if the issue continues it was clearly downloaded from the server. There's an outside chance that the issue will be resolved by the exercise too!
  15. Hi. If you're sure you don't need this note, have you emptied your Trash notebook (on any platform - the change should sync through your account)?
  16. If you use h1, h2, h3 headings, the content below each heading is collapsible, right? So you could, forinstance have a note containing the names of several team members as headings, below which are listed the notes (or tasks) assigned to each. If you hover over a heading (on desktop, anyway), there's a 'shadow' box that pops up on the right of the screen where you can copy a link to that specific heading which is accessible from another note. I've not tried it out yet, but it seems to me that I should be able to build quite a comprehensive ToC dashboard that links to all sorts of useful information without needing to search for any of it... Just an idea, anyway.
  17. Hi. We're mainly other users here - payment and access issues are outside our control; but if you submitted a ticket you should have a reference number for the query - please quote that here, and we can pass it on to a Forum Admin to follow it up.
  18. My turn to apologise now I read your original query again - there is a known issue with searching within filtered results. Best to raise this with feedback@evernote.com or contact Support.
  19. It seems to be a Universal Rule (or something) that no matter how much better an alternative shiny app seems to be than your current beaten-up, mouldering pile of code, almost as soon as you switch to the new one, your old app gets a similar upgrade...
  20. Since Tasks have reminders, I don't think total removal is planned - just, maybe, a loss of sorting reminder functionality since - as you've noted - Tasks is a more flexible feature. I've certainly moved to Events (for activities with fixed dates and times) and Tasks for items with or without deadlines, that need attention until they are complete. I also noted that it's possible to use the new 'note pinning' feature to have a Table of Contents dashboard at the top of say, a Project notebook. with links to collapsible lists of individual Task notes, to get an overview of activity without the need to do detailed searches first.
  21. Hi. Ctrl+F should open a pop-up with both Find and Replace if you need it.
  22. Evernote has never searched for characters within a string. It can only find the beginning of a term. See https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313828-Use-advanced-search-syntax for much more.
  23. Hi. Power your laptop off and back on again?
  24. Hi. The title of the calendar help page may be a clue... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500009437482-Google-and-Outlook-Calendar-integration-overview
  25. Evernote has a camera option built into the app which works without additional software.
