  1. I use a text expander to generate that type of format - 20240717 with one key combination. Otherwise my dates are standard UK format as (presumably) set by the system. If that's not your experience, you can only throw yourself on the mercy of Support...
  2. Hi. Whatever supported deal you were on must have expired and reverted you to the current standard subscription. Your various options are all listed here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/4403064927507-Cancel-your-Evernote-Professional-subscription - including how to unsubscribe via a web page. Beware that while your existing notes will still be available, your access will be restricted to one or two devices
  3. Welcome to the party. What version number would you consider the "most recent"?
  4. Maybe try an reinstall to check for a corrupted file? Sign out of Evernote if it's active / don't save your data locally / use Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) or Appcleaner (Mac) to uninstall the app. Power off and back on, then re-download and reinstall from Evernote.com and leave Evernote running to rebuild the local data. The new install is still initially a little slow - things get better after a few days.
  5. Hi. There are no date settings in Evernote - it's supposed to follow the device country settings. Maybe check your OS and reconfirm the choices made for the device?
  6. Apparently not - I can only refer you to Support so that Evernote is aware of the issue.
  7. Realistically, nothing can be done to fix the app in the short term - all you can do is feed back your issue to Evernote and wait for them to address it. The way to ensure you have access to all your notes on all devices though is to adopt a Table of Contents approach. It's easy on a desktop to create a new note, then use the new '@' command to insert a link to that note in a parent note pinned to the top of the notebook. You could use the desktop 'France' tag (or any other) result to create a ToC note with links to those individual notes, and add any further notes as and when they are created. https://evernote.com/blog/30-improvements-april-june-2024 https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005667-Create-a-table-of-contents
  8. Weird. There are links to Support on the top right and bottom of this page - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/28267325211795-Subscriptions-Payments-FAQ I'd suggest you throw it onto them and see if they can help. Please reply to the boilerplate 'solutions' they'll send you - even if it's only "tried that: didn't work" - you'll get to a real person eventually who should be able to check your account on the server. Patience is required however...
  9. Hello @chris1058 The current Android version is 10.96.2. ? I thought we were the 'official' forum. Your answer reads like AI speak; there's no specific rule against using AI solutions here, but I do hate such generic - and frequently misleading - advice.
  10. Hmmn. Have a look at your account status here - https://www.evernote.com/BillyBillingProfile.action - you should see your account level and payment method at the top of the page. If there's no payment method, that may be triggering this issue - you could try updating from here. Evernote was updating billing a little while ago, so maybe your access is temporarily blocked by work in progress.
  11. Hi. Evernote Marketing is a department whose mystery is exceeded only by it's power... Have you downgraded your account to free after the current subscription ends? The easy way to resolve this would be to take a look at the next screen after the pop-up and - provided you're not debited immediately - opt to continue your subscription. If you do intend to downgrade or move to another provider, diary it for 9 months time and enjoy the quiet in the meantime...
  12. Beware that you will likely be unable to create new notes and will be limited to one or two devices to access existing notes. (New users are limited to 50 notes and one notebook at this trial level; existing users with more content than that can still see their notes, but not add to them). Go to https://www.evernote.com/BillyBillingProfile.action (it's the 'Billing' page of your online account) and check out the very bottom of the page, just above "Terms of Service".
  13. Hi. I assume you're not a Teams (business) user, so please share your device, and OS/ Evernote version numbers. The most likely explanation here is probably that you're clicking on the installer file directly, rather than an Evernote shortcut. The simplest fix would be to uninstall the application completely using Revo Uninstaller Free (Windows) or Appcleaner (Mac), power your device off and on again to clear temporary storage, and re-download / reinstall the application from Evernote.com.
  14. Hi. You were using a free service that was meant to be a trial only, hence the limits placed on its use. The 2 device changes per month rule .has been in effect for more than a year. If you find the service unusable, there are many other, less expensive options on the market. I find the desktop and web apps to be extremely fast and effective these days. If you share your device, OS and Evernote version numbers and any specific issues you are encountering other forum members - who are mainly subscribers, not employees - may be able to suggest some fixes...
  15. Interesting - I see my Android updated yesterday, and I haven't used it yet today - I may have whined too soon!
  16. Yeah the Android app - particularly the Samsung Android app is pretty hit and miss at the best of times. If all we Android users feed that back to Evernote, maybe they'll doo something more about it?
  17. You said that already. The person who started this thread appeared not to be.
  18. Hmmn. (Again) - just for the record I apparently DO get emails to say I shared a notebook with myself (via a different email address) - clicking on the link takes me to the shared notebook via the web app. As you're on a free account, you do need to make sure that the web app is an authorised device on your account. If your supervisor has shared by email address both you and he are presumably surrounded by corporate security - has he been able to share to others recently? If not maybe your environment is the issue here...
  19. I'm out of ideas then! That URL I added to the previous post has some links to Support - it may take a while to get a response, but I'd suggest you contact them in case this doesn't magically sort itself out. Meantime about the only alternative would be for your supervisor to export the note to an ENEX file and send you that file to import into your account. (More instructions below...) https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005557-Export-notes-and-notebooks-as-ENEX-or-HTML
  20. The OP shows as a free user - and I was trying to calm things down a bit in my post before yours...
  21. Hmmn. I just tried the share notebook process out to remind myself how it works in detail. I've shared lots of notes and notebooks though, so my main account no longer sends email to my test account. I did immediately get a copy of the shared notebook (plus a test note) in my test account, so the process appears to be working. Do you see a "shared with me" section in the left hand panel of the main note window? EDIT - See also https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314748-Share-notebooks for some general background!
  22. To be fair, the current 'Free' version is intended as a short-term trial so customers can have the full experience of most of the features a subscriber gets. If you have such a light usage that the limit of 50 notes / one notebook and 2 (1?) connected device(s) isn't a problem, you could probably carry on using it - provided frequent nag screens don't get in the way. But it is a free service - don't be surprised if the rules change, or features disappear suddenly if the company changes their mind about funding. The original deal was that the 'free' service was much less limited - but that was in a totally different time when the use of resources wasn't (apparently) an issue. Evernote is now operating on a strictly commercial basis and there really is no longer any such thing as a free lunch. Long term users of the free service have been able to create thousands of notes and dozens of notebooks in the past. IMHO it's not a good idea to use a free service for anything of value - if you're not a subscriber, you have zero legal rights in in any dispute - and in Evernote's case you don't get access to email support for anything other than signing into your account. I think "Freeloader" is a bit harsh though - these guys were operating entirely within the rules and the 'old' Evernote took far too long to react to users taking too much advantage. Plus name-calling is pretty likely to start an argument, and I get upset when people argue. You wouldn't like me when I'm upset...
  23. OK I can only suggest you contact Support with details of your device and Android version number. There are links in the help pages - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us
  24. Try powering the phone off and back on before reinstalling to clear any temporary caches.
