  1. Seems like Android 11 and Evernote 8 may not be friends - you could try some of the Android forums to see whether that applies to any other software, and if there are workarounds...
  2. Hi. Clearly your PC is having some problems exchanging data with Evernote. Do you have access to a VPN connection? - That should get you around any firewall / AV issues that might be blocking the data. It would be useful to know what version of Evernote you're using, and on what OS. There are some general tips here that may help... Tips for troubleshooting syncing issues
  3. I think you'll find that the Windows clipboard is a weird and wonderful place sometimes. Evernote notes use a version of HTML to display the content and when copied, it appears that part of the code may be included and then later displayed by the destination software. Try copying and pasting 'as plain text' which should remove the code. Alternatively try using a code block (essentially a plain text area) to type the initial notes.
  4. Yeah, delays can happen... I use emails more or less daily and -usually- they appear within a few minutes as soon as my (legacy) app has synced.
  5. Hi. It didn't. Clipping a web page has occasionally been difficult and adding anything to the original content has almost always led to... odd... reactions, largely because of various web browsers' and lots of page authors' use of various flavours of HTML, CSS, Javascript, Python, Ruby and heaven knows what else, all lurking inside the note body waiting to do their thing with any edits. To annotate a web page - use a screenshot. Or another note (you can even merge them later). Or the 'remarks' field in Clipper.
  6. Good idea - dunno how such things work, but best posted as a Feature Request here, and to any public forums run by IFTTT & Zapier I would think. (If you didn't already...)
  7. Hi - as you probably know, these Forums are mainly user 2 user - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client).
  8. Are you clicking on the three dots menu at the top right of the widget? I get a choice to 'edit filters' and (if I select that) a window showing the filters available...
  9. Hi. AFAIK there's no way within Evernote to create an 'automatic' image gallery that you could use for recipe selection. It would be possible to create one or more notes that contain links to other notes in your database in a table layout. Search for your recipe notes - either all of them or some subset like 'breakfast' or 'vegetarian' and copy the list of note titles that you generate. Paste that list into a new note and create a table above it that will display comfortably on your smallest device. Copy/ paste the individual note titles into the table cells, then open that note in its own window. Visit each link in the table cells and copy paste a picture from the note above the link You then have a personal Pinterest-style index to all your notes I cobbled together something from a Google search for 'food pictures' as an illustration ...
  10. Hmmn. Since this is team mates within one company, could a firewall or antivirus be in the way? Can you disable wifi connections and try via mobile carrier only?
  11. How are you 'unable to access' your notes - do you get an error, a permanent 'loading' icon, or is your password rejected?
  12. Hi. What or where is 'the joy of web clipping' and where did you see "Native Notes"??
  13. Hi. There are a few steps you could try - log out of Evernote, log back in. check the web version via Evernote.com to confirm that your database displays correctly there. uninstall / restart / reinstall
  14. Hi. It is not possible to create a notebook inside another notebook, but it is possible to create a new notebook inside a 'stack' - see the Notebooks page in the web or desktop clients for more.
  15. Hi. If you wish to keep your work and personal notes apart, you could simply create a separate account for your presentation that either contains only that presentation (or presentations in general) and while a presentation is running on a separate screen, you could open your 'other' account containing research / personal notes and general information on a screen to which only you have access. By sharing a notebook from the presentation account to the personal account you'll be able to update presentations and 'send' yourself additional notes if necessary.
  16. Sounds like you may be being caught out by the 'autoformat' option in whichever client you're using, though I don't know why it would consider that "..." might need to be a link. 'Undo' should turn the link back off - maybe someone else can run a trial to see if there is a way to switch it off... (dot-related pun intended)
  17. Hmmn. Is this individual being notified by the web app, or the installed v10 client? I have no recent personal experience of the exact steps required to accept a share, but I believe there should be a link to click to accept it (?) - it wasn't just a matter of opening the app. We're a (mainly) user2user forum so no under-the-hood access to servers to check on the process - if this just isn't working, you really need to reach out to Support for more... https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  18. Hi. Has the second individual confirmed that the emails are not in their spam folder? Confirmed that you have their correct address?
  19. You could raise this as a Feature Request - https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/forum/256-web-clipper-requests/ - but if it will be used "infrequently" it doesn't seem worthwhile for a developer to make it available, and I don't see how it would be used differently from searches, remarks or tags - the 'comment' would have to use standard text, which is already available in several different features.
  20. ? Any notes that have not been uploaded are liable to being lost forever unless synced with Evernote or moved to another service. Uploading is not a monthly activity and -unless I missed a memo - Evernote continues to be active on any Amazon device running Android. It's not like they can identify which is Amazon and which not... If you're a subscriber, and are still concerned, send your unsaved notes by email (while you are offline) to your Evernote account email address to ensure they're saved, and then connect to the internet to sync your account and send the emails.
  21. ? Put 'to be read' clips into a specific notebook and read them there?
  22. Is your "back" a link to the previous note, or the back button in the browser? If you're relying on the browser, this seems like a step too far for that browser...
  23. I've been with Evernote ever since it used a calculator roll display, so likewise long-term and sticking with Legacy unless and until the wrinkles get ironed out of the new version. The problem with Evernote, I think, was that they decided to listen to users - who wanted (amongst many other things) the same experience on all devices in all operating systems including the web; and a standard layout no matter what size display. Sadly that didn't allow for the fact that the UI had to be dumbed down so the worst-featured device could operate as smoothly as all the others - and the fonts available had to be restricted to ones that were available to all displays and all systems. Evernote tried to fit in with that by using a 'wrapper' app that allows it to function on most devices - but no-one in house had any great experience with coding for that type of software. So I'd guess they brought in new hires and temporary staff and tried to reinvent the app from the ground up. Pretty much everything else - slowness, glitches and missing features - flows from that. It'll clear up or it won't. The company is on iteration 22 or so of the version, so they're clearly working very hard to get things up to speed, and have been pretty successful in some areas... Evernote wouldn't be the first of my favourite apps to bring in new services that fundamentally changed the way I use it. I bet it won't be the last.
