  1. Hi. Did you get your legacy installer from here? https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote
  2. On mobiles the 'share' function does a fair job...
  3. Hi. Penultimate has not - AFAIK - been updated for some long time, and it's status within Evernote is unknown. If you can use an alternative app you should probably do so, at least for the present. Support would be able to advise you further... Subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client).
  4. Hi. Maybe the shortcut was hijacked by Chrome. Try redefining it to another key combo?
  5. They do like cashflow though, so if there was a way to add a feature and attract more customers you can bet they'd do something. The fact they haven't - yet - just means they have other priorities and maybe some technical problems.
  6. Thanks for that system - it's an ingenious and simple solution; though I use a password manager add-on to my browser which remembers all my individual page and app passwords, creates new (full random hierglyphic) ones like "4Wuc*NiHtg" on demand, and automatically inserts them where necessary (no typing required). I can use that on my mobile, tablet and laptop. The password vault is protected by one long password/ pass phrase (in my case, a line from a favourite poem) which is easy to remember. Password Managers include LastPass, Nordpass, Dashlane, Keeper, 1Password... there are lots. On the general topic of backing up - I know that Evernote is already backing up my data securely on the server, and that there is protection in depth with the Note History feature, plus the Trash notebook and a few 'are you sure' warnings in the system. However I'm a firm believer in O'Toole's Corollary of Finagle's Law: "The perversity of the universe tends towards a maximum" - and it's my data anyways, so I'm going to keep my own special copy of it locally on my system. My precious...
  7. True, but my comment was in reference to "will Evernote naturally evolve and pick up some of Filterize's best features?". As you say, they seem to prefer to allow others to develop services on top of the main app.
  8. Hmnn. I'm still happily logging in to the web client and using Clipper on Linux Mint with and without a VPN. It seems like you have a network issue of some kind preventing your access, but whether that is something to do with your OS or the browser is outside my expertise.
  9. Hi. Evernote won't do that for you, but it is theoretically possible using automation software to set something up that works. I've stuck with the legacy app and use an external third-party app Backupery to deal with my 300 (or so) notebooks. It's easier with legacy, because the database is right there in the local hard drive.
  10. Hi. Try uninstalling the application with Appcleaner (Mac) or Revo Uninstaller (Windows) to ensure a clean reinstall, and download the latest version again from Evernote.com.
  11. Agreed. There are quite a few automation apps in the market. Filterize did it all for me, so I had no need to investigate in detail. We'll have to get a list of options together and see what Evernote integrations are available. My opening bid for possible alternatives... Actiondesk / API Fuse / Chronify / CloudHQ / Filterize / Huginn / IFTTT / Integromat / LeadsBridge / Microsoft Flow / Piesync / Workato / Zapier Plus these URLs... https://automate.io/ https://www.cloudhq.net/g_suite http://Elastic.io https://exalate.com/ https://integrately.com/ https://www.integromat.com/en https://www.jotform.com/ https://n8n.io/ https://parabola.io/ EDIT: And before the Mac crew remind me - scripting can do a lot in MacOS!
  12. Hi. Your email address 'update' would have failed, because one address cannot be used on two accounts. You appear to be logging directly into your old account rather than the new one. Try using the original email address to log into your main account again. Evernote.com has a 'forgotten password' option if you're no longer sure of the password. Change your account login email address
  13. Hi. There's no sort feature. Copy and paste your table into a spreadsheet app and sort there, then copy/ paste back into the note.
  14. If the automatic created date and updated date records aren't sufficient, try How to add date and time stamps to your notes
  15. Yes. If you use the web version via Evernote.com, that's v10 in all it's glory. It's still missing a convenient way to backup the account to a local server, and things are still... different... from the old apps. Not sure that there are any major missing elements. If you have a modern system you may not notice the rather larger footprint the new app seems to have. Best advice is just to use it and see how you get on. You can always use Legacy for some activities (like backups) if you need to.
  16. Hi. If you click on a tag in the left sidebar, you should get to see all the notes with that tag in the main window. I have no idea why that's not happening for you, but you could check whether all your notes are available on line by signing in to Evernote.com, and if they are, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app. It's possible that something got corrupted in the initial installation, or you've changed something which is causing an issue. A clean install is at least a good start...
  17. Hi. If you were exporting your entire database to an enex file, you were to some extent wasting the effort - enex files don't retain notebook information so at best you would have restored all your notes to a single notebook. The correct way to backup notes is to export each individual notebook to separate enex files, which is still possible from the 'notebooks' page in your new app. Export all notes via the three dots menu for each notebook (or possibly by right-clicking the notebook name). There's some options and more here - https://blog.cloudhq.net/how-and-why-you-should-backup-evernote/
  18. Hi. The different current account levels are premium, personal and professional. If you were already premium you would have been 'grandfathered' into a personal account at your original rate. If you were on a free or a plus account, you may have qualified for the discount, but if the system you were using didn't offer it, you were unlucky - not 'ripped off'. You could certainly talk to Evernote Customer Services about it... See https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/135456-how-to-submit-a-ticket-for-a-billingpayment-issue/ NB for iTunes payments please contact them direct.
  19. Hi. Seems to me this has been raised before, and it's usually down to display quality. Do you have the option to try out your notation on a different device to see whether it's system related?
  20. UPDATE: APRIL 2022 - Filterize is NOT CLOSING DOWN ?? Did I miss another memo? I'm a current subscriber and heavy user, and I heard nothing about this yet - what'd you get - an email? See a post somewhere? Screenshot or URL please! There's nothing else (AFAIK) to match the note-moving, tag-adding, title changing awesomeness of their features, so they will be sadly missed. Most expiring software companies make some sort of arrangement for their subscribers - will have to wait for details to see what's available. Don't see Evernote stepping up.
  21. Not an employee, but I have been around for a very very long time...
  22. In my experience most apps, unless you already have the top-level subscription, will remind you from time to time that an extra step is available. Sometimes the marketing team make mistakes and remind you even when you have the highest level. Unless it happens repeatedly, it's usually not worth complaining, because an algorithm somewhere has your name on it. If you do find this is interrupting you regularly, then it's right to raise it with Support - which we're not. These Forums are mainly user 2 user - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
