  1. Hi. There's an external app https://help.postach.io/ which can convert your note into a blog page, but otherwise Evernote is a note-taking app; you could use it to save ideas, drafts and schedules and copy/ paste the content elsewhere. It won't provide web hosting or online membership to manage your contributors.
  2. It's possible, but highly inadvisable. The ENEX and HTML formats don't include notebook metadata, so you'll get a complete backup of the account but will lose any notebook assignments. Better to use a script if you run Macs, or a service like Backupery or CloudHQ for Windows to take care of backups automatically. NB - the Windows variations are subscription services and may only work with Legacy for the time being.
  3. There's a whole alphabet of automation tools (Actiondesk to Zapier) that could probably help with that. In my case a lot of email content gets sent from Gmail directly to my Evernote email address where they get sorted and tagged by Filterize* and deleted from Gmail. The balance gets IMAPped to Outlook** for my individual perusal, and anything new (maybe one or two per day) may require a copy email so I can respond easily. I never thought it worthwhile to look at alternatives - most often I just copy/ paste note contents back into Outlook or Gmail when I reply. * This is a freemium service that -sadly- is shutting down October 2022 ** Gmail doesn't have a Windows client and I hate their UI - plus Outlook 2013 still has a multiple email clipper I can use where necessary...
  4. Hi. Just like All Notes displays all notes from all notebooks, a Stack view shows all the notes from all the notebooks within it. Choose a notebook to limit the view further, or add a search term.
  5. Hi. Because this is a (mainly) user 2 user Forum. If you'd like a direct response please raise a support ticket. And for the moment Evernote seems just to be.. slow everywhere... Subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client).
  6. Have you synced your Windows 10 device? Clips go to the server, which is why you can see them in the browser. They need to be downloaded to your individual devices to be visible locally.
  7. Hi. Export notes and notebooks as ENEX or HTML
  8. To which the correct reaction would have been to add a post and a vote in the same thread. I merged your post back.
  9. Hi. You can view your notes in a variety of ways in Evernote. The default view is 'All notes' which is a list of all notes, no matter which notebook they're in. There's no way to remove notes from this view. If you select one note you'll find that it specifies which notebook it belongs to in the header lines. To refine your view, click a hair to the right of the notebook name - there's a little arrow - and you'll see all the notes (and only the notes) in that notebook. All notes belong to a notebook. It's not possible for a note not to belong to a notebook. To check to see how many are without a specific notebook home, check out the Default Notebook (look in the left panel) for notes stored there.
  10. Hi. Contact Support. You may be able to get back to your previous content if you have backups of your system or of the Evernote database; or by using the Note History option. But you certainly should not be seeing a gradual erasure of your pictures. These Forums are mainly user 2 user - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client).
  11. As noted above - there has (AFAIK) never been an option to open an original Outlook email from a clipped copy. Getting a URL for an email seems to require some technical intervention on individual accounts - see https://superuser.com/questions/71786/can-i-create-a-link-to-a-specific-email-message-in-outlook for some indications. Gmail (I believe) is set up differently, so if you can divert your Outlook emails to Gmail you may be able to set something up via Evernote's Google clipper. Otherwise I find that copying the MSG file (drag/ dropping the email to my desktop, and then into Evernote) will give me the ability to click on the file in Evernote and re-open the email in Outlook.
  12. Hi. What device / OS / Evernote version? My notes get checked as I write. If that's not the case for you, check any settings you can access on your device or in the Evernote app that might be relevant. If there's nothing obvious, you could consider copy/ pasting your note content into an app that does spellcheck, and copy/ pasting any changes back to the note...
  13. Hi. Are you using the toolbar icon, Ctrl+K or just copying/ pasting?
  14. Whilst you're waiting for any responses, I'd suggest raising this with Support - you'll at least get a definite answer whether the feature is still officially available... These Forums are mainly user 2 user - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client).
  15. Sometimes a note gets corrupted in some way and won't sync - if you get something that's really obstinate, try creating a new note and copy paste the original content from the 1st note to the second - ideally as text. Or export the note to ENEX and then re-import; the conversion will sort out any 'illegal' characters.
  16. Have you thought of adding a tag to all the notes on the device with fewer notes, and searching for notes without that tag on the device with more?
  17. Web clipper has a settings option that will open a note after a clip is completed, but if you simply want to open Evernote.com I would have thought a browser shortcut would be much quicker than opening Clipper, waiting a second for it to recognise the page and offer to clip the content, then choosing another option in the menu to open the app direct. The shortcut is one simple, direct, step; the Clipper route is adding an extra step to something which is already a busy environment.
  18. As has already been mentioned in connection with this request - Evernote is interested in suggestions for new features - but if and when it decides to implement those features is entirely down to commercial decisions over which users have no information, input or control. There are work-arounds including the use of a 'table of contents' containing links to other notes which form part of the bigger document. It's possible to have templates for specific purposes (forinstance) containing headings like: Intro technical description operation finance development conclusion - and to create notes where those headings (or more informative and specific ones) are links to the separate text. Additional items - or even additional tables of contents - can be added as required. Unless and until Evernote introduces a new specific linking feature, there are two options - embrace the work-arounds, or find other software. Voting, at top left of this page, will help support this request!
  19. Perfec'ly acceptable. My relationship with tags is.. interesting. I use Notebooks as a first layer of granularity, and 'smart' titles - "D - T - S - K" where: D = date of the meeting / document / phone call that was the subject of the note (the created date of a note can be wildly different) T = type of content - meeting note / letter / user guide S = source - what's the name of the project / organisation / person featured here K = keywords - any other useful word or phrase that might help me find this content in future If at a later stage I find that any given search generates too many hits, or if I want to find a particular set of notes quickly, I'll tag notes to be excluded -or included- next time. So in my system, tags are very much an afterthought. So if I want to find a user guide for an item I bought from Amazon last week... well the Amazon notebook is probably all I'll need! Managing notes your way, or my way is fine. People aren't wired the same everywhere - whatever works for you!
  20. I don't think it's necessarily meant to be something you see every time, though it very well could be a reminder for an appointment you really really don't want to forget - but if I'm changing passwords on another app, or dealing with a phone message, I'll often open a new (Windows) text note on my desktop just as a place to park some details while I'm doing something else. Then the text note gets deleted (if I remember) and I'll make a new one next time... The scratchpad is just a handy home for any random temporary thoughts you might have, that don't have a better place to be. You don't even have to look at it if it's not useful for you - just delete from Home; I tried mine out with one project where emails were being saved directly into Evernote - I had the display set for new notes from that notebook in the last 48 hours. It's a good way to make sure that information which might otherwise be lost ion the general run of your notes is immediately visible in case you need it.
  21. Hmmn. Internet searches can be interesting. Check out: https://www.wired.com/2010/06/google-docs-can-now-convert-images-and-pdfs-to-text/
  22. Hi. I'm not sure that was ever officially possible - How Evernote makes text inside images searchable Images containing handwriting should be added to Evernote as JPG images, not PDFs. PDF files are the preferred format for typewritten documents or scanned pages containing typewritten text. Handwriting is not indexed in PDF files. Plus - I don't know whether the process has changed since the app was extensively rewritten for v10, but handwriting OCR was a little different from character-based OCR. Because of the variable quality of images (and handwriting!) words are assigned a range of 'possible' meanings - 'horse' might also be 'house' or 'hence' forinstance. If you need word-for-word transcription of your text, it would be better to use an app that shows you the results on the fly so you can correct any errors in real time and save a text-based result.
  23. Hi. Without knowing what email address you're using, we wouldn't have a clue - but please don't post it here. This is a public forum and any visible addresses are liable to be added to spam hit lists rather quickly. Check the help instructions for changing your address*, and make sure you're following the correct procedure; and make sure you're using a valid email address. You can check that online - as here: https://wiza.co/verify-email-free If you're still having issues, check with the Support team... these Forums are mainly user 2 user.
