  1. ...and if you go to the Notebooks page and click the three dots menu you can share a notebook by email address, when it is possible to set the view / edit / edit and invite options.
  2. Hi. Like this? https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360053591694-Share-a-note-via-public-link
  3. ...And you thought the lack of a Spanish interpretor was an issue? - Я говорю на другом языке.
  4. I took out some text there, but in general - you got that we're just other users here, right? Much sympathy if this seems unreasonable, but we're not in a position to take any decisive action. Raise a support ticket by all means, but I doubt the new prices will change much... ...And "making lists"?? You're doing something very wrong if that's all you do...
  5. Hi. Sign out of the app and back in / sign out and restart the device (power off and on again) / uninstall, download the latest version and reinstall... do you still have this issue? Contact Support.
  6. What is? That something designed 20 years ago doesn't include the single tweak you personally require? Most folks might tend to think - "I could suggest that as a new feature, or add my vote for that feature to an ongoing poll collecting those votes" but I guess some could be offended that an app that nowhere claims to do something, isn't actually providing that feature...
  7. I actually like having that link there, but while you can't disable it from being created, you can always remove it manually - Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box. Type shell:sendto in the Run dialog box and press Enter. This will open the "SendTo" folder in Windows Explorer. In the "SendTo" folder, you can add shortcuts to the destinations you want to appear in the "Send to" menu. You can add shortcuts to folders, programs, or other destinations. To create a shortcut, right-click in the folder and select New > Shortcut. In the "Create Shortcut" wizard, browse to the destination you want to add, or enter the path to the destination manually, and click Next. Enter a name for the shortcut and click Finish. After adding the shortcut, it should appear in the "Send to" menu when you right-click on a file or folder. -Obvisouly this is to add a shortcut, but you can just open this folder and delete one if you prefer... 8. Just for the record - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and all users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or via the feedback option where it is available). It's always good to raise support tickets - it gives the company feedback on what isn't working, provides direct contact with lots of users with personal experience of the issues, and potential access to activity logs if more in depth investigation is required. Getting involved helps get stuff fixed quicker.
  9. I tend to have little patience with imprecise and unsupported claims like yours. I'm not an Employee or in any way funded by Evernote - I'm just another user like you. I don't regard my self as a fanboi - merely a professional IT user. And for the record I'd say that my response to your initial post was simply a list of observations and questions. If you have any reason to object to my content you may wish to report posts via the 3-dots menu at top right of my posts when it will be reviewed by Forum Moderators.
  10. For me, Filterize mainly adds tags and assigns notebooks, which seems to be working as expected ATM. I checked with them when all this started - they didn't seem to think there were any issues, but I'm just raising a ticket for the fact that a web clip takes ~30 seconds to appear as a note, and if you open the note it's another ~90 seconds before you can see the content. (Dell desktop / EN 10.57.6).
  11. I think that's in the link I mentioned last time. Free users get two devices (as detected by Evernote) connected to the account. It's possible to change devices twice per month, and if you exceed that it will be a couple of weeks before you can try again. The only sure fix is to subscribe (instant access) or to use another email address to create another account to use while the original is suspended.
  12. Hi. @Annie Sil -- your comments have so many red flags I hardly know where to start... You don't get asked for a new password on accounts that are currently in use - only on ones that have not been used for a period Updates don't force themselves on you these days.. unless you were updated from a Legacy account to v10 Being offered a subscription or a free trial suggests you're just downloading another copy of the software Nothing has changed about access to notes - if you saved your notes to Evernote they're still sitting there on the server, if only you can get access... This could be something to do with the device limit - free users are only allowed to connect 2 devices to the account. You may have to wait out a suspension to get access to your notes, but I suspect you'll also need to contact Support to work out how many accounts exist in your name... Understanding the device limit
  13. You seem to have been busy in your 'week or two' Your Highness having multiple chat conversations and a ticket escalation... Despite the comments above, I don't believe Evernote has any ambition to promote the web version over all others, and it should be quite easy to work offline with a laptop. It does take a little while someimes to work out why specific issues affect some users, so a week or two is not an unreasonable timeframe. If you want to safeguard your research in the meantime, it's good IT practice to keep backups, and you could also work in a locally installed (or cloud) word processor and attach document files to your Evernote account - effectively keeping a local working copy elsewhere. Back up and restore your data in Evernote for Windows Attach Google Drive files to notes
  14. Hi. Any of them I guess, though maybe restarting the app / device / reinstalling the app (in case an update corrupted it) might be a quicker option? If you're a subscriber you could also notify support...
  15. Hi. What version are yu using? And have you tried logging out and back in? Restarting your device?
  16. @daveb and @Kevin Becklin - please report any 'lost' notes to Support. This is a mainly user-driven forum and subscribers will get get individual attention if things are going wrong... Subscribers here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new Everyonewelcome here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps.
  17. A more constructive way might be to report individual issues to Support, and/ or to post feature requests so that other users can indicate their support for specific ideas. The app is different from Legacy - primarily at the request of users - and it's gotten very considerably better over time, hence me now using at a daily driver for my 30GB database.
  18. Hi. There's a Linux beta which is only a few versions behind the current release; and the web version works fine on Linux. Please list these - because they're news to me... Can you provide the ticket number where you reported this? We should look into your loss of service. The 'AI stuff' is already available in the web version. It's not on general release in the apps yet.
  19. Hi. Two things... I'm intrigued as to your process: how do you come to be saving hundreds of files with macros, and how are you removing the macro content if not by opening them individually?
  20. Hmmn. I used it for the first time today on a 690-word note. Beyond moving a few words around to make it a little more readable and grammatically correct, the net effect (after some impressive graphics and a short wait) was to add 3 words to the total count. It might help make a bad writer look a little better, but it doesn't seem worth the effort on notes meant for personal or internal business use.
  21. Hi. You're posting in a 2-year old thread which already provided the answer. Use templates
  22. Hi. Windows 8 is no longer supported. It has been reported several times elsewhere in the forums here.
  23. ...but very unlikely unless you raise a support query. While - as someone pointed out in another thread - we're dealing with a different company now, Evernote so far has only very rarely commented on posts in the forums. The conversations here (including this one) are largely between users. I do know that - Electron - the envelope that allows Evernote (and several other apps) to run its code on different operating systems - no longer supports Windows 7 or 8, both of which are no longer receiving security updates from Microsoft and are therefore a security risk when connected to the internet. Evernote Legacy - is an unsupported system but will (currently) work with W7/8 - without any features introduced over the past 2 years or so. Compatibility with sync may become an increasing problem as v10 now uses a different format because of RTE (real time editing). It's a short-term sticking plaster, not a solution. Likewise previous versions of v10 - although they used to work with W7/8 - still use Electron. Reinstallations are not guaranteed to work, and one of the devs has commented on a different thread that using 'older versions' is not recommended - because of compatibility issues. Basically unless you join us here in the 24½th century using the latest OS and app versions, you are likely to encounter some severe bumps in the road. I realise that for some this might mean serious expenditure - new hardware as well as software. In the current economies around the world that can't be good news. I can only sympathise and hope that you can find a way through...
