Legacy will eventually stop working because of changes to your local browser and OS, and because Evernote is developing new systems that may no longer remain compatible.

The behaviour is the behaviour. Your choice is to adjust (and maybe investigate widgets for access to notes) or to find a different app.

Not in advance, but as above - for non-subscribers the content can be copied, and (hint, hint) saved in smaller chunks if necessary.

This isn't a request show - Evernote's new owners (who have been in charge for less than 1 year) have other priorities at the moment, but might revisit this is they think it will help most users. Personally I prefer a word processor for professional presentations, since it can do far more styling than Evernote's editor is capable of.

Evernote is now on 10.63.3 - I can't replicate your experience; if I click in the search field, the window does change, but my cursor is still there, and when I type a search term and do the same, again the window expands but leaves the original word and my cursor.

That's a pretty big note. How about having your daily notes in a separate notebook and creating a new note each day with the appropriate heading? You could use a template for the note and include the year and month, just leaving you to add the day number. It's even possible to add notes by email, so you could simply mail your entries in.
