  1. Nope - me either. Which is why I use Backupery to automatically back up my account (of 60,000+ notes in 400+ notebooks) on a weekly basis. There's also a Github option called (surprisingly) Evernote-backup, and if you only have a couple of notebooks you can export them manually from a desktop notebook page via the three dots menu. The 100-note limit does not apply. Whatever system you're using it's a good idea to use a smallish file size if you can - say 4GB max; it's less drain on system resources and they're easier to move around if you want to copy elsewhere.
  2. IMHO it's down to personal preference and your tolerance for risk. If your information is online, protected or not, it is at somewhat more risk than if it is behind firewalls on a connected device, and a lot more than with air-gapped storage or old fashioned paper. My bank and medical details are (mostly) offline and some are on paper. Passwords are in a 'manager' app and the lock password for that app is only on paper. I subscribe to various (and mostly free) 'dark web' monitors which will tell me if my details are being offered online, and I lie about some of them (big reveal: I'm not actually named Gaz...) so anyone collating personal information can't easily and convincingly steal my ID - but with AI around most bets are now off. Responsible companies will "of course" build in protections against misuse but there are tech-savvy bad actors out there who will try their best to take advantage, and the 'good guys' will of course have to keep up so they can keep some semblance of control. I would definitely not keep all my data in one place, and I'd always make sure to include some attractive-looking nonsense in any vulnerable targets just to be mean.
  3. OK - also flagged. Sorry for the delay in responding to your message - time zones! - it's now morning for me. As to contact points, I think I mentioned there is a website where you should be able to see the current status of, and add notes to, the ticket(s) you created: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/
  4. I recently 'harmonised' tags on 50 notes which all had variations on 3 tags - some had one tag, others had another, still others had two of the tags...etc. I chose all notes / all tags and hit 'go' - took about 2 seconds to rip through them, so all notes had all three tags. Seemed pretty quick to me...
  5. Hi. I didn't know there were any export settings in the mobile app. Or that you could export into Messenger. Please explain more fully what exactly you did?
  6. I tend to move things into my import folder(s), wait till the import ends, then move the content to an archive on an attached drive. I had one situation a while ago where 30 files got imported each time I logged in, but moving the imports to an archive is a good habit to have in case of duplicates or corrupted imports.
  7. I deleted a post here for random schoolyard abuse. Maybe try again with fewer adjectives?
  8. Free users never had the ability to talk to Support. This Forum is one of the most knowledgeable and helpful technical support groups I've ever been involved with and most normal queries can be resolved here - except for ones related to passwords and finance. The fact that the company wants to be paid for its services is not something that should come as a terrible surprise. Consolidating notebooks - especially if you have less than 20 notes - is easy; all you need do is export notes from your unwanted notebooks to ENEX files; then delete the notebooks and import those file into your remaining notebook. If you prefer to go to Notion, please feel free (no pun intended...) I'll leave the solution here for someone who's willing to ask a civil question rather than leave a rant.
  9. Some apps like Typora can recognise MD and save it in other formats, but that's on a note-by-note basis. There are some online MD-RTF converters (I did a quick search) and I believe Word and LibreOffice can open MD files...
  10. Hi again - not currently available, and its unknown when or whether more test options might be coming - probably not for months at least.
  11. Hi. Please confirm your device, OS and which browser you're using to view Evernote. If you add a tag to a single note does it stay correctly attached to that note? Exactly what process do you use to view a tag and all it's connected notes? -I'm not clear whether the issue is with tagging itself not working, or the indexing of your notes to show those that have been tagged. Please understand we're mainly users here - Evernote Support is https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  12. Contact Support via https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  13. Hi. A Business ("Teams") account has a single subscription which covers a central account in the name of the business to which everyone has access, and individual accounts in the name of each user. If the subscription is not paid the main account is shut down. You need to contact Evernote Support (the Forums here are supported by other users) to change the payment method and reopen the account. Both you and the business can use https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true - and the issue type "Account" - to report this problem. If you receive a reference or ticket number, please post it here and we can flag an Admin to check that you are given some priority. (Please remove your email address from this post - this is a public forum and you're creating a security issue for yourself.)
  14. Hi. It's not; if you go through the process of downgrading your account to Basic (i.e. 'free') you'll likely get some discount offers for the next year's subscription to soften the blow, but Evernote has to deal with real-world operational costs - and updating a lot of infrastructure to improve security, stability and performance.
  15. See the other post for my response - please don't keep repeat posting the same issue; everyone here are only users, not staff.
  16. Hi. I've flagged your ticket numbers for a Forum Admin, but as has probably been explained before - everyone you've sent those details to is just another user; we're not Evernote employees and have no special access to your account. Even the admin staff here aren't really the people to help you. You need to contact the Support team to verify your identity and get back into the account. I understand that you're stressed because of your condition, but if your records are not available for the moment I suggest you go to your appointment and explain the situation to your healthcare provider. I'm sure they will work around any missing data - they should presumably have detailed records of their own to work from. I sincerely hope this situation is resolved for you as soon as possible.
  17. Hi. Can you use the Evernote camera for the same tasks? AFAIK scannable hasn't been updated in a while...
  18. Hi. You're using a free product. The company want you to pay for one of their existing contracts or stop using their resources. Either way is a win for them...
  19. Hi. We're mostly other users here. This was Evernote's summary of progress last year - https://evernote.com/blog/2023-recap Personally I have nearly 64,000 notes in Evernote and use it every day. It seems to me much faster, better laid out and has several new features - like real time collaboration and the To Do function - which will be improved with time. This is what they say is to come - https://evernote.com/blog/new-ui-2024 With new owners, new prices and severe restrictions on the services available to non-subscribers the support service has been overwhelmed by too many requests and not enough experienced staff. The company have recruited more and have seemed in recent weeks to be catching up on their backlog. Hopefully that too will improve. Other users here like me are always willing to answer intelligent questions and help find other ways of doing things when Evernote fails. I agree that Filterize was a great boon and I miss it too. When Evernote finish improving their infrastructure such add-on services may be attracted back - we'll have to see! Meantime if you get stuck Support is at https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new ... provided you are able to wait several days for a reply!
  20. Please don't post twice on the same issue - and as you were asked here - What do you mean by 'block notes' and why are they necessary?
  21. No problem - I flagged your post anyway. You should get a reply soon, whether or not Evernote are reacting to your original message or this thread.
  22. Hi. Please don't hijack posts to raise a different question. In general if you go to the Notebooks tab and select a notebook you should be able to rename it. Try right-clicking or look for a three-dots menu if the option is not obvious...
  23. Hmmn. The fact you had the standard pro-forma response to your support request means that you have a ticket - was there a reference number in the response email? If not, see if you can check your request status here: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/ If you can quote a ticket number I can flag it for a Forum Admin which may get you some attention - the company was quite bogged down before the holidays, but there are signs they're coming out of it...
