  1. No apologies necessary. A lot of us here complain about much less critical things than this! Best of luck!
  2. Yes, EN support is the worst I've ever seen. Which is part of the reason so many of us come on this forum to complain, even though it does no good and we get scolded by Pink Elephant.
  3. ferol's list of wanted features includes many that were in Legacy but not included in v10. It's probably the closest thing you'll find... And as for other comments here -- the "nitty bitty detail aspects that may have been lost in transition" are in fact less in number than the new features, but far more critical to some of us than the bells and whistles which have been added at the cost of stability and performance. The idea of treating v10 as an entirely new program is probably the path of least frustration, but if you're dependent on features that are gone now, that can be a bitter pill to swallow.
  4. To be fair, both Google and M$ do have phone numbers and email addresses if you look hard enough. Haven't seen that w/ Evernote. And when I enter a support ticket w/ M$, they actually respond. That's really my main gripe w/ EN support. At least acknowledge my existence with something other than a canned and empty promise...
  5. Unfortunately, there is no support. It doesn't matter how critical your problem is. This is a HUGE issue, which doesn't seem to bother a lot of folks on these forums. You are paying for this product. You should get support. Especially in a critical situation like this (but, I would argue, in any situation, given the price we're paying). I hope you find a solution to your problem!
  6. But if I vent here, I'll actually get responses. feedback@evernote.com offers absolutely nothing other than a black hole. Does Bending Spoons care? No. Do you care? No, but at least you acknowledge my existence. I also suspect that the OP here is not a forum regular, so I don't think I'm out of line for exposing the inconvenient truth yet again. I am fully aware that "moving on" is the healthy and appropriate response, but I really am angry, and this is my only outlet (I have pointed out previously that destroying my laptop is not an option, as I need it, and my company owns it anyway). So, apologies to those offended by the negativity, but you should probably move on from my posts if they offend you...
  7. My point is that having no support whatsoever is unacceptable, regardless of the circumstances. It may not be helpful to point this out, but frankly I'm sick of this *****. I'm not sure why it's acceptable to so many of you. It is not the way decent companies do business.
  8. Not to belabor an already belabored point, but this is totally unacceptable. This is not a situation where entering a support ticket and vainly hoping it will be answered is a viable option. The OP needs help NOW, and there is none. This is no way to run a business.
  9. Yes, many folks here are completely satisfied, and that's great. I really wish I could join you there...
  10. I realize this. I have sent feedback. I don't think they care, but I have sent feedback. And one person's complaining is another's commiseration...
  11. v10 is horrible. I switched over from Legacy well ahead of time. That didn't make it any better. A lot of users here don't seem to see the major issues that many of us have w/ v10. They're excited by new developments such as AI (buzz buzz), and don't seem to care about the missing functionality, the incredible slowness, and the instability. I agree that we all need to make our voices heard, but unfortunately the only folks who seem to be listening are other members in this forum -- some of whom will simply tell you you have a bad attitude and to just live with it. There is no support to speak of. Not sure how long they can sustain that business model (especially with the huge price hike), but the truth is, they have many of us hooked. I can't switch to a new app without a major disruption in my work schedule. So for now I tolerate the many minor disruptions that waste my time each day. It's a terrible situation. I know Legacy isn't coming back, but for crying out loud, making the app actually work for note taking rather than piling on new and often useless features seems like a logical approach for the dev team...
  12. No such thing as a phone number or email address for EN support. They have the absolute worst support on earth (i.e. no support at all). This link https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new is working for me, fwiw (and it's not worth much).
  13. You can turn off the slash command prompts: Not sure about the AI thing.
  14. Yes, it would be that difficult.. It would be a LOT of work. Believe me, I explored the possibilities. The structure of my workday depends entirely on EN (I need all the structural help I can get). At this point, the time/effort it would take to switch is less palatable than living w/ v10. On the upside, it may force me into early retirement.
  15. Yeah, tag sorting was the first thing I missed in v10. Now i just rely on a saved search which syncs every 15 minutes or so. Incredibly annoying. I've tried explaining all this to my cats, but they just don't give a s**t, tbh.
  16. Exactly. New features are nice, but some of us are actually using EN to do our jobs, and would prefer not to be guinea pigs. And if we're gonna be guinea pigs, we at least deserve some help through the maze -- but no, no support whatsoever. And a price increase. It's a horrible way to do business. I would love nothing more than to switch to a more stable and supported product, but over a decade using EN has made it an inextricable part of my daily routine. Unfortunately that routine now takes much longer each day due to dropped features and general sluggishness, but the time it would take me to switch over to a different app precludes me from doing so. There are some users who want folks like us to just shut up and live with v10. I have no choice but to live with v10, but I'm not gonna shut up about how much it sucks for me, because I have to vent my frustration somewhere, and smashing my laptop to bits is not a viable option.
  17. I don't see a pattern. I often get an "Evernotes is not responding" and i have to restart. In Legacy, if you just clicked on a link in an open note, that link would open in the same window (or you could right click and open it as a tab or a new window). I used this many, many times a day. Now I spend my time dealing with erratic behavior with link clicks, horrible syncing, and just plain slowness. But hey, all kinds of cool AI features and such are coming out every day (for which I personally have no use whatsoever).
  18. Can't say I've seen that issue, although I have a few other issues that constantly make me wanna hit something. Unfortunately, computers are expensive. Even more expensive than an Evernote subscription. As others are saying -- perhaps you're still stuck on an older version with that bug...? Don't worry about getting suspended for sending an obscene message to support -- they'll never read it anyway.
  19. Not being sarcastic at all. Glad the OP is happy with v10. Nothing wrong with that. Nothing about my post was sarcastic. I meant every word.
  20. I think if it's working for you now, you're probably fine. They dropped some things I used from v10 and many of us find it to be painfully slow and buggy. But if none of those things seems to be happening to you, you may be one of the lucky folks for whom v10 is the bee's knees. As far as I can tell, the only disaster that might befall you is that you might need support (which you won't get). Or, of course, the business might go under because they don't support their product -- but I expect that will take a while...
  21. Give up all hope ye who enter v10. Legacy is not coming back. You just have to decide whether you can afford to spend the time converting to a better app, or if the hassle of doing that outweighs the horribleness that is v10 (I chose the latter, but would advise the former if it's feasible for you). v10 is truly awful for many of us. Every day I scream at it because it's such a slow, buggy POS. But others love it. Go figure.
  22. i've found that in old notes with checklists, I get the X on the top item, but any nested items (i.e. tabbed over to the right beneath the top item) will get the checkmark with the strikethrough. Wish I could say that was my top annoyance with v10, but it's not even close.
  23. What about saved searches? For instance, I have a saved search based on a specific notebook and two specific tags. If I remove a tag or move a note to another notebook, it can take up to 15 minutes for the saved search to reflect those changes -- the note will still be there for quite a while until some kind of magic syncing happens. On Legacy, the automatic sync generally reflected these changes within a few seconds (and I could always manually sync if I was feeling really impatient). Editing or creating new notes is definitely quicker to sync. Not always within seconds, but not totally unreasonable (although I really do wish I could manually sync whenever I damn well please).
  24. Hey -- I'm an older user and I think the speed of v10 is intolerable. 🙂 I wish I could say it's getting better, but it's not. I uninstalled, AppCleaned, and reinstalled. It still sucks. I spend several minutes of every day now waiting for sync to catch up with me. Because god forbid we be allowed to sync manually. And of course, there's the small matter of offering absolutely no support to customers who are now paying significantly more for the "enhanced" product.
