  1. This is terrible. You might try contacting them on X : @fedesimio @bendingspoons Unfortunately, they do not care enough to answer support requests, so I fear that you may not get help that way. It's one thing to ignore feature requests and bug reports. It's another to ignore refund issues. And it's an entirely new level of terrible to ignore something like this. Really hope you get help for this soon!!
  2. They have no support whatsoever. Canned responses telling you to come here, and that's it. This baloney about how they're "restructuring" or "backed up" is just empty rhetoric. They apparently just don't have a support team for EN. Hope they don't treat their other products/customers like this. Call me perverse, but the general rule of thumb is that if you pay for software, you get support.
  3. I can get it to reload using the opt/alt - Help menu option, however it still takes at least one (and sometimes several) reloads before the sync actually happens. It's sort of like it's just refreshing at its own rate in spite of my reloads. <sigh>
  4. Short answer - no. I haven't heard from an actual human since December 2023 (which was the first response to a ticket I opened in October). Their "we are restructuring support" notice has been up for a long time, and I think it's a blatant lie. Would love to be proved wrong. They will send you a canned response that tells you to check these forums, where folks like gazumped and dave-in-decatur are doing their best to provide support and deflect the hatred. Absolutely no reflection on these users (who really are trying to help most of the time), but this is an unacceptable situation. It is apparent that Bending Spoons just wants our money (and more of it, please). This may backfire on them, as so many folks are jumping ship, and (speaking for myself) those of us who used to recommend EN to others wholeheartedly may now advise others not to touch it with a ten foot pole.
  5. Actually, CTRL+R doesn't seem to do anything. Maybe it's a bug in the new "update." Or maybe it doesn't work in MacOS. Still just sitting and waiting for EN to catch up to me several times a day...
  6. The total lack of support is a HUGE elephant (if I may) in the room. Me, I only have complaints about v10 -- they don't actually owe me money. But come on -- is it always gonna be this way? Because it is totally and thoroughly unacceptable to treat paying customers like this. I have never experienced worse software support in my entire (long) life. Never. And they had the nerve to raise the price. WTF? When I pay for software, I expect support. Any sane human does. Unfortunately, I guess there's not a lot any of us can do, as we're screaming into a vast and empty void. (Any Italian EN users here who could hand deliver some messages?)
  7. Thanks. Yeah, using forwarding for now. MacBook pro 2020 Monterey 12.7.3 EN 10.78.2
  8. As of this morning (Monday March 4), my Outlook add-in is not working. I'm talking about the add-in that converts emails to notes in EN, not the calendar thing. Tried re-installing it. Is anyone else experiencing this? I will open a support ticket, but don't expect that to yield anything...
  9. That's kinda the whole problem. Evernote is not interested in their customer base at all. But it would be nice of them to make an appearance here and tell us as much (maybe in more pleasant terms). Otherwise, we shall continue to cry into the wilderness in hopes of some response... Another option, of course, is for EN to actually respond to support requests, but we all know that's not gonna happen.
  10. Can't sort by tag in v10. (Why remove a feature??) In Legacy, if I had a note open as a window with (application) links to other notes, clicking on a link would open the linked note in that window. Alternatively, I could right click and choose to either open as a tab in the same window, or open the note in its own window. In v10, clicking on a link within a note seems to return to the home screen with the linked note open in preview (which hardly ever works on the first click, and is then slow to load). Right clicking only offers the "open" option, which does the same thing as clicking on the link. This is putting a serious damper on my workflow. A helpful user pointed out to me that one can CTRL-click on a link and it will open in a new window. This is slightly better than the return to the main screen option, but it's still a workaround that requires several extra steps.. Hovering over note links in v10 creates a pop-up which makes it difficult to actually click on the link. Can't initiate a sync in v10. (At least as far as I can tell...) There is no support for paying customers anymore.
  11. I've already switched to v10. It's horrible, but that's not what my complaint to the BBB will be about -- it will be about the total lack of support to paying customers. For any version.
  12. Great idea, Elizabeth. I will be filing a BBB complaint as well.
  13. 1% is a meaningless number. Nobody has actual statistics, because nobody cares about those of us who hate v10. I can pretty much guarantee you more than 1% of users are unhappy. But no, i don't have hard stats -- and neither do those here making the opposite argument. Yes, we understand that Legacy has been deprecated for a long time. Yes, we understand we're SOL. But we still have a right to vent, and since BS won't listen or respond, this is our only outlet. It's somewhat comforting to know that others are feeling the same way, in spite of multiple posts trying to convince us that we're a tiny 1% minority who just likes to complain. I will be filing a BBB complaint per Elizabeth's post. v10 fans, please go ahead and post your snarky "good luck with that" comments.
  14. There's my post about note links. This seriously wastes about 5 minutes of every day for me now. I keep a list of notes in a note. Used to be I'd click on a link in that note and would be taken to the note I clicked on IN THE SAME WINDOW. Or I could right click and open in a new tab or window. Now, it just takes me to the main screen with that note displayed. When it works. Half the time it does nothing, and twice it's crashed the app. And it's SLOW. I've seen people claiming it's faster, but I think maybe they're on drugs.
  15. Is that a screenshot of an actual reply from an EN employee? If so, it's a bloody miracle. I don't use Legacy anymore. I use v10. It sucks. I'm pretty sure more than 1% of users agree with me (judging by the posts in this forum). It's way slower than Legacy, it's buggy as hell (yes, I have auto updating turned on), you can't sort by tag anymore, you can't open a note from a link anymore without going through contortions... I could go on... Any improvements that have been made are certainly not obvious to me (but I'm obviously an idiot). If I had any indication that EN/BS cared one tiny iota about their customer base, I would stop complaining nearly as much. But, dammit, this is a terrible way to run a business. It's indefensible. I realize all you deliriously happy v10 users are sick of the rest of us complaining, but since EN won't listen to us, this is our only place to vent. I guess I have this fantasy of EN actually looking at these forums and realizing that a lot of people are unhappy. Again, I'm an idiot.
  16. Just curious. You seem like one of the main defenders of the new EN. You say you were on a customer service team at some point (as I have been for most of my life). Do you not find EN's "support" to be the worst you've ever experienced? It's basically non-existent. As an IT professional, I think it's completely unacceptable. Even if the new EN was the bee's knees (which it most definitely is not), the lack of support would still be egregious. Would love to hear from somebody at Bending Spoons who actually cares about end users (or even pretends to do so). Instead, all we get is occasional announcements about how awesome the new release is. Which would be somewhat less insulting if the new release didn't suck.
  17. It is nice of them to finally give us a real deadline here. What would be even nicer is if they would even pretend to give two s**ts about their user base. And of course, it would have been nice if v10 was an improvement over Legacy rather than an epic fail. But hey, we are but powerless users. If my work life wasn't so incredibly dependent on EN, I'd be gone in a flash, but alas, they got me hooked back when their product was decent, and now I can't break away without a huge effort. Thanks Evernote!
  18. Well, they certainly managed to do away with and/or mess up features that I used regularly. And I'm obviously not the only one. Speaking for myself and my own use cases, v10 offers me nothing that I didn't have in Legacy, and has removed several features and gotten much slower. And of course there's the complete and total lack of support nowadays. I'm still waiting for some sort of evidence that there's anything positive about the new Evernote and its new owners. So far, seems like they're doing their best to kill it. And of course, you'll never hear from anyone who actually works for Evernote. Because they do not care about us. I also fully expect to be reprimanded by expert users who, for some reason, find it necessary to defend EN's "new direction" in spite of the fact that so very many of us really hate it (because it's terrible).
  19. Did you try logging on via a web browser? You might try that and the "Forgot my password" option. When you first set it up on your phone, you had to have logged on somehow -- either via setting up a username and password, or via Google or Apple. Sounds like it wasn't Google, anyway...
  20. Shhh. Don't say anything negative. You will be chastised. Speaking for myself, I think the new version is terrible (slow and missing features I used to rely on). There is no support whatsoever (except the defensive kind offered by customers in these forums). But I'm sticking w/ Evernote. Why? Because, like you, I have more than 10 years of my life inextricably bound to EN, and the effort to switch to something new is just too much. There are ways to transfer data to a new app (I was able to do this with Notion, for instance), but I found that adapting my workflow to a new app was simply more of a PITA than giving up and staying w/ EN. My greatest fear is that the total radio silence from EN support means that it's not long for this world. I just hope they give us a chance to get things together before they close up shop and disappear completely.
  21. In my opinion, Evernote is a poor choice unless you've already inextricably entwined your life with it (as I have). They have no support to speak of, and I've never seen a comment from anyone who actually works for Evernote in these forums. They do not care. At all.
  22. Yes, both. Multiple times. Have you ever received support in less than two months? I haven't. And then it's never actually helpful. Posting here is the only place where I ever receive helpful answers, which are usually along the lines of "Yup, you're right, that doesn't work anymore." I would be less inclined to make negative posts if anyone at Evernote even began to pretend to care about us users. Meanwhile, I reserve my right to ***** and moan about a product that has done nothing but go downhill in every respect. It's a shame that EN has left loyal EN users like yourself to be its support desk. I would much rather complain to them directly but, as I my have mentioned, they don't care AT ALL.
