Welcome to the forums. I have seen one other report of someone being unable to share. This was on an Android Samsung S23 Ultra. They get a "File Permissions Required" message. I know nothing about anything Mac, so I have no idea if this is related. But it would probably be best to report this to Evernote support for investigation: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. However, there are knowledgeable Mac users here who may have better ideas.

Please go to the original thread reporting on this, where a user has posted the reply they got from Evernote Support. Evernote are the ones who will have to fix this, and they are working on it. -
I can confirm this, on v. 10.51 of the app. When I try to pin a note I get a message that says ' "" pinned to home ' -- that is two quotation marks " " with no note name in between; and no pinning happens to any of my home screens. Definitely a bug. Please contact support and report this, by going to Settings and tapping Support. @M Zuccaro, what version of the app do you have, and what kind of device are you using it on?

I would suggest (besides contacting support) trying the Web client. Go to https://www.evernote.com/client/web, and log in carefully with the username and password you are sure you have used on your account. This will give access to what exists on Evernote's servers, in an interface practically identical with the desktop apps. We have seen lots of reports of content missing from notes (usually available in Note History) due to glitches in the rollout of the new sync structure, but not reports of entire notebooks going missing.

Bending Spoons Price Increases Begin
Dave-in-Decatur replied to Paul A.'s topic in Evernote General Discussions
Please don't go! I actually appreciate your willingness to stand up, though it takes us off-topic (which I think may be why that subject wasn't pursued). There are forum policies, and violations can be reported for the actual mods to consider. Perhaps it needed to be said; it's not going any further; so here we are. -
I think there are too many bugs!

Thanks, @Cane Randagio, I'm glad things have worked out. -
Bending Spoons Price Increases Begin
Dave-in-Decatur replied to Paul A.'s topic in Evernote General Discussions
Well, but you are picking one. I decline to participate. I did not mention the ethnic slur or say it was reasonable, did I? (I agree that it was unacceptable--although "mob" can just mean "crowd" or "group"; but it's up to @NightStalker to explain). I only mentioned what seemed to me a reasonable point based on the personal experience of the one making it. That's all. -
My guess would be that notes last edited before May 1 would be in the old format, and notes that have been edited or created after May 5 would be in the new format. So searching on "updated" could be used. See the advanced search syntax article: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313828, and look in it for "updated:".

Sigh. As explained MULTIPLE times (e.g. in this post from Evernote staff), each note needs to be converted to the new syncing structure. This is not necessarily dependent on the length or content of the note, but may relate to what else is going on on the computer (security software running an update?) or on Evernote's servers. A full minute does sound extra-long, though. Are there others that convert faster?

How do you turn off real time editing?
Dave-in-Decatur replied to Killasonna's topic in Evernote General Discussions
As @PinkElephant said, you can "opt out" by going offline. Perhaps after editing a note or notes and going online, they will have their structures converted to the new format on the Evernote servers. Perhaps not. But it needs to be done sooner or later. I know you think you don't need it. So did I. Then I was editing an important note at deadline in the Evernote Web client when I got a Blue Screen of Death. Just before melting down, I remembered I could continue working on my laptop with the Evernote Windows app. I turned it on, and there was my note, exactly as it was when the BSOD hit. I suddenly realized that the new sync structure enabling RTE might be useful to me after all. -
In the thread to which you link, the proper explanation is given: the new RTE/sync structure requires a conversion. Please be aware that these forums are user-to-user. Some, like @agsteele, have an "Expert" badge because they have qualified for it, but they do not work for Evernote. The interesting data in your table could be sent to Evernote support: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.

Bending Spoons Price Increases Begin
Dave-in-Decatur replied to Paul A.'s topic in Evernote General Discussions
@NightStalker, I appreciate your relating your history with Bending Spoons, and it does raise some not unreasonable concern. I think that Evernote probably has a larger and more diverse user base than Filmic Pro (including, we are told, the head of BenSpoo), which hopefully will save it from getting just dumped. I'm waiting to see, though. Meanwhile, a couple of thoughts on these issues. The sync button is no longer needed or useful, since syncing is happening all the time, especially with the new sync model that began early in May. It would be a buggy whip on an electric car. V. 10 definitely keeps a local notes database on desktop devices (so maybe not iOS). In settings, look for something like "Keep a copy on this device" and make sure it's checked. Notes are taking longer to appear just now (see the many threads on this in the forums) because they must first be converted to the new sync structure, and it can take from a few seconds to, well, a lot of seconds. OCR is definitely still working on PDFs and images (to make them searchable for text they contain). If that's not happening, it's an issue to raise with support (https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new). -
There are several threads in the forums about these delays. What's happening, as confirmed by Evernote, is that notes that were last edited in the old sync structure must now be converted to the new one. I believe that on mobile devices and the Web client this must be done on Evernote's servers, and on desktops it is done locally (I believe, but I don't know for sure). So that adds to the sync and display time on Android for an older note to appear. FWIW, many people, especially on Android, were reporting nightmares with sync last year, and now find it greatly improved. Certainly there are teething pains, especially as (again, in my assumption) the Evernote servers must be under an extra load while conversions are being done. But I've also had some successes, especially when my computer crashed while I was editing an important note in the Evernote Web client under a deadline, and I could just turn around to my laptop and find the note in the Evernote Windows client exactly as it was when the other machine crashed.

Hi, and welcome to the forums. Please use the search function to find the existing threads on this topic. It may be more helpful to see what's been said and offer comments there than to start a whole new thread.

I just tried again, now with v. 10.51 of Evernote (on an S22 Ultra). Weird results. Whether adding a sketch to an existing note or trying to create a new note with a sketch, I can make a few strokes, with either the stylus or my finger, and then it quits working. Saving the sketch and editing lets me add a few more, then quits.

Sorry to hear it. Since it doesn't seem that the problem is being widely reported, and since neither a reinstall nor a factory reset solves it, I don't know there's much more to be said here. Evernote support should eventually get back to you, but they're currently kind of overwhelmed. May I ask who your service provider is? They often tweak the OS, and I wonder if that could be the cause. Evernote v. 10 runs within the Electron framework, which handles communication with the OS, and it's conceivable (to my poorly informed brain) that the OS is asking for something that Electron doesn't know how to supply, or vice versa.

Same response. Welcome here, though.
