  1. Thank you for your time and help. Don't get me wrong, I like Evernote, other than the constant surprise updates and the fact that you can't copy/paste images. The copy/paste makes it more trouble than it worth ... in my particular case. I now need to prepare myself for what I expect will be a nightmare of transferring to a different app.
  2. Thanks, but unfortunately I don't know anything about "containers." What I do know is that I am exploring the options and hope to migrate to some other program as soon as possible. I need to grab images and often images with text in my workflow, and paste them into other apps or programs. i.e. Word, Autocad, Lightroom, Twitter, etc. Not being able to simply copy/paste is a fundamental and stupid flaw in Evernote. Also, Evernote's habit on constantly updating the app without warning upsets my workflow.
  3. @bmcl26 - I listened to "Me and my Evernote" but did not hear anything about how to solve my problem. I can't understand what Snagit has to do with Evernote. I use a variety of software and none requires using Snagit, nor any other secondary software. (And I rarely use Snagit, except to sometimes add text to an image.) I have used Evernote for years without any problem. Now it's nothing but trouble. In addition to not being able to copy/paste, it takes a long time to load. Sometimes things I type just disappear.
  4. @Mike P When I navigated to Help > Check for updates, I get this message: You’re up to date! Evernote 10.57.10 is currently the newest version available. Is this not the correct way to update to the latest?
  5. @bmcl26 - I need to copy, FROM Evernote, and paste into Gmail, images and text (which includes some links), along with formatting, that are in templates that I created in Evernote. Snagit does not figure into my workflow at all. I don't know of any way to copy/paste images and text (with links), with formatting, into Snagit. I don't think that's even possible. In any case, shouldn't another step in the process. This workflow worked flawlessly before the "upgrade."
  6. Thanks, bmcl26, however, I created and keep the templates in Evernote. When I need to respond to an email inquiry (vacation rental property), I open the appropriate template, Control-A, Control-C and switch to Gmail, where I paste in the copied template. Since I "upgraded" to the new Evernote, only text gets pasted into Gmail; no images. I can't even copy a photo from within an Evernote note and paste it anywhere else. i.e. not into Gmail, Word, SnagIt, etc.
  7. Hello! Thanks for responding. Dell XPS 15 9560 with i7-7700HQ CPU @2.80 GHz Windows 10 Home edition Evernote version: 10.57.10-win-ddl-public (4133) Editor: v169.1.20965 Service: v1.68.5
  8. I have a lot of templates that included text and photos. Prior to installing the new EN, I would copy the contents of a note and paste it into Gmail. The text, photos and formatting remained intact. In the new EN, only text gets pasted. I can't even manually copy an image and paste it into Gmail. How do I now accomplish what was a straightforward workflow? Thanks!
  9. I am often in a rural area where the internet service is minimal (3-7 mb/s) or not available. I need to turn off real time editing so I can work.
  10. That worked, but what ridiculous nonsense that Evernote is so fundamentally flawed. I have so much in Evernote, but I am so incredibly sorry I ever started using it.
