Hi. Legacy is long dead. Updated and Created dates already exist. Where did you want them? -
Now delivered. You're welcome.

"One moment while we get back to work" - FOREVER
gazumped replied to GarethSan's topic in Evernote Teams Technical Issues
As far as I know most users are not having issues. Maybe contact Support for more? -
Hi. https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new but please be very patient for a response.

Speed it up!
gazumped replied to lionx's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
This is already a post where other users could have voted in support or commented in more detail if they agreed with you. Granted not every user reads these posts, but enough do that you should have had some reaction if this was a general problem. All of the responses - including me - are from other users, and we don't have access to raise this generally, but that's what Support teams are for. They collect details of what's bugging individual users and pass that on to developers, as well as trying to help individuals work through why their own experience is not as good as it should be. If you haven't already gathered - Support got buried months ago when multiple changes to the software caused a LOT of enquiries in a short time. They will get back to you, but it will take as long as it takes... be patient! Meantime have a look at your local system - do you have plenty of free storage space? Enough free memory? Is there any competition for your internet access (are there several devices connecting via your current link)? Do you use a firewall? VPN? Any number of things could be slowing your system down... -
Speed it up!

If you're still having issues, I'd suggest you tell Support about it - not all users have the same experience, and unless Evernote get a certain amount of feedback from users on this matter, they're likely just think it's happening in isolated individual cases. -
Hi. All good questions, but we're mainly other users here; and Evernote has never over-shared it's future plans. Given the break-neck speed of development in the past 18 months though, it seems highly likely that existing features will be developed further, and new ones added. Searching the Forums has always been an issue, but as it's a public forum you should find that any internet search will find forum topics as well as third-party ones. I believe that Evernote will be looking at the overall structure this year - it's unknown when or how that might lead to changes. Since you raise the question - how would you see things being revised? IMHO the major issue with Forums is that new users often don't know enough to ask the right questions, and frequently don't give enough information initially to get a sensible answer. (I have the phrase "what's your device / OS / Evernote version" on speed-dial...) Thinking about your suggestion - would it be more sensible to divide the topics into different operations rather than products? Off the top of my head that might be: Installing / Uninstalling: Versions Authentication - opening the app and logging in Editing/ Creating Notebooks & Notes - attaching content Exporting/ Printing Notes Organization - Calendars & Task Management Appearance - line spacing, thumbnails, styles -feel free to add more suggestions if I missed anything. Or should there be something else?

Tag Sorting in v10
gazumped replied to FredJ's topic in Evernote for Windows Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Could you use the filtered notes window on the home page? -
Literally one you pay for? Choices at the moment are Personal or Professional.

Hi. This new behaviour has already been noted - best advice is to contact Evernote Support and wait for a response. We're mainly other users here so no workarounds / fixes available that I'm aware of - except to use a dedicated code editor and attach the output file to your note for the time being. We're told that highlighting and other features are coming to Evernote but it's unknown how you should approach your now-altered content, and whether or how it can be returned to its original state. If/ when you do receive some feedback from Evernote please post it here...

Untitled Notes in Export and re-Import ENEX
gazumped replied to ferol's topic in Evernote General Discussions
I'd suggest you add your own support request to the one(s) already submitted -
Try deleting your local database/ uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller, and powering off and on again before a reinstall. That will remove all traces of your currrent setup and give you a fresh start. Things will be slow for a day or two while everything gets set up again in the background, but you should find things get back to normal. If that's not the case, please confirm your device and OS/ Evernote version numbers and we'll re-think this...

Sudden loss of notes / unable to login
gazumped replied to cyclical's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. You were using a version of Evernote that was considerably out of date - so much so that (after a year or two of warning messages) the company cut off access to the remaining few users of that whole family of products at the end of March. As long as you were logged in at some point, your notes to that stage should have synced with the server, where they will still be available if you sign in at Evernote.com. Sadly anything created after then may have been lost. You should also be able to download and install the new v10 if you wish. If your old installation of 5.5 still exists on your desktop you may have a large database file (EXB or similar) which could contain unsynced notes. If you can give us more details of the file type we may be able to suggest some options which could give you access to the content - forinstance via a SQLite application - if there's important data you absolutely need to recover. -
Refund / Customer Service Frustration HELP!!!
gazumped replied to SimpleCreativeCo's topic in Evernote General Discussions
The process should be fairly simple, but is currently slow... contact Support - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new (but be very patient for a response) EDIT - Oh, and as you could have done at any time: please go to https://www.evernote.com/BillyBillingProfile.action (it's the 'Billing' page of your online account) and check out the very bottom of the page, just above "Terms of Service". 'Cancel your Evernote subscription' is there - choosing it will downgrade you to Free to avoid further billing. -
Support not available, loops through login to web
gazumped replied to AndyDent's topic in Web Client Issues
Don't think it's related to account type - I had a legacy test account until recently; converted it to v10 without any issues. I doubt you'll get to the bottom of this with or without a poll - what you need is to contact Support - which may take some time, but they can fix your login issues... -
Replacement for Evernote Legacy
gazumped replied to johnm243's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Wasn't me that said that - the author is no longer with us, since it was irrelevant to the discussion and seemed like typical bland AI-speak. On the general topic - Legacy was declared obsolete (and potentially dangerous) 3 years ago. v10 was a new and different product which replaced it, If you find the new product inadequate for your needs, there are plenty of other options out there... -
Nested tag view - how to see it in v10 Evernote
gazumped replied to TdeV's topic in Evernote General Discussions
A good first step would be to (politely) point out to Evernote that you would like to be able to see a listing of all your assigned tags, plus sub tags. I saw somewhere else that less than 5% (I think) of Evernote users actually have a tagging system, and I'd bet that far fewer have such an extensive setup - so just like your Legacy use, you're very much in a minority. Evernote's current owners had nothing to do with either version of the current tagging system, so they might have plans to improve it - or it might be a low-priority item to consider at some future time. You'll never know unless you ask...
