I think that's what local backups are for. If it were possible for users to log in while offline, and a copy of your saved database files fell into someone else's hands, they could have ample time to try defeating its security.

Hi. Evernote had something in the hundreds of millions of users, and Bending Spoons has more... I don't think a polite exchange of emails is a timely way to deal with anything perceived as a security issue... Unless you specifically request it however, there is zero oversight of your note content in your own account. (Other than, if you are particularly conspiracy minded, your friendly neighbourhood intelligence service). - All bets are off, of course if you share content with anyone...

Hi. Thanks for your comprehensive report, but this is a public forum and you have disclosed information above that you may want to remove for security reasons. We're mainly other users here, so don't have any control over Support, but if you have a Support reference - a Ticket number - and can quote it here, we can ask a Forum Admin (an employee) to contact them for you. I don't know whether any of the attached information will be relevant or useful, but see also: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004395487-What-to-do-if-you-suspect-unauthorized-access-to-your-Evernote-account

Hi. If you have access to Evernote on a desktop, then exporting your notes to HTML files would keep them accessible. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005557-Export-notes-and-notebooks-as-ENEX-or-HTML

The answer is posted above. I deleted your other post on this same topic. Please don't double post. To save you scrolling... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/29147324292243-What-to-do-if-you-re-being-logged-out-immediately-from-Evernote-Web

Yep - had one of those myself yesterday... If you click that link, there's a far more ordered version of the Support page you normally get and your login details are automatically included. I'm hoping it's a new Support process that will help them get out of the mire, but clearly they aren't there yet...

Why is the title bar white in dark mode?
gazumped replied to Wolfbeta's question in Evernote for Windows Requests (Versions 10.0 and above)
I thought v10's new Dark theme was now a complete solution without invoking 4-year old Windows 10 tweaks... -
Austin has left the building and that post is three years old... And... ?

No all of the above. Filterize MIRIP (may it rest in peace) was an app that did these things, but got scuppered by the API changes. I would dearly like to see it - or at least these actions come back1 Meantime, delete your old ToC, create a new one in its place. 1 feedback@evernote.com -
Import inconsistencies
gazumped replied to C. Goodman's topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
You're missing out dragging & dropping / cutting & pasting / clipping / screenshots. They're all (IMHO) options - just pick the one with the results that you need. -
How do I customize default settings for HEADERS?
gazumped replied to Zenspiration's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Actually I think a more correct answer is: It is not (yet) possible... but development is ongoing. -
Hi. The free notes option is essentially a trial to allow users to check that the basic features work as they require before subscribing. You clearly don't use any of the more advanced features, so will be better off with one of the cheaper (or free) alternatives. You should be able to export your existing notes easily to ENEX or HTML files (on a desktop) and transfer them to whomever you choose. More information if you need it from websites like https://noteapps.info or https://toolfinder.co - Good luck!

Hi. First the good news - Evernote doesn't do plug-ins. Your run-in with 'local' notes may be to do with the fact that the 'old' app allowed users to have notes that were not shared (synced) to the server. These notes were stored in Local Notebooks and when you updated to v10 - which does NOT allow for unsynced notes - you would have had the option to convert your local notes to synced ones. If they were not converted, they are no longer part of your database - but if you still have any files from the old software (which you probably do) then they can ..probably.. be rescued. We can talk you through some of that if you'd like. As to the rest - you seem to pretty much have the basics: Searching within a notebook isn't necessary (it maybe speeds things up, but is not required) but just choose that notebook from the Notebooks page and search there, or choose a filter "located in..." and find your notebook. Type your term(s) into a search box - separate words for an general search, in quotes for a specific phrase. If you find your search was too general, exclude items with a minus sign, or add tags or terms as necessary. See https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360040282613-Search-overview for more on this...

Calendar Home, set to List

Hi. Open a tab in the web client? You can even shortcut the page... -
Hi. Depending on how many individuals are involved here, you could save your expected attendees as name1,name2,name3...etc in your template meeting note. Add the names as tags by dropping the whole string into the tag field. Delete the tag if an individual is not present. Check the tag stats to see how many meetings each individual attends. Your requirement is pretty niche however - I don't see Evernote building this into their meeting note process...

Yeah - those have been mentioned elsewhere in the forums. Once you've caught up they seem to appear every 10 days or so. I don't see them as an intrusion, but if your mileage varies I'd send the experience to feedback@evernote.com - maybe there should be a "don't show this to me again" or at least an "account information only" level...
