  1. Let us know what device(s) you're using, what versions of Windows and Evernote; are you behind a work firewall or your own; any recent changes to your system or connections that you're aware of? Have you tried the basics: sign out and back in / power the device off and back on / uninstall your current version of Evernote (untick 'save my local data') and reinstall - which could take some time depending on the size of your account...
  2. Hi - it's a new feature that not many of us Forum members will have had much experience with - have you tried Support?
  3. Hi. Shortest and simplest answer - subscribe on a monthly basis and sort out your devices, then downgrade again. Instant access to your account, and to Support if you have issues. Alternatively - try Support direct; access as 'guest' if you need to via Evernote.com in a browser. Check the help page to make sure you're unlinking devices correctly. Understanding the device limit
  4. Hmmn. I hadn't noticed it, and don't much care one way or the other. Seems to me lots of software gives users a faux happy greeting, just to be polite but hey if it bugs you and you're a subscriber you will have access to customise the home page - not saying you can opt to remove the greeting (I just don't know) but you may be able to cover or shrink it with lots of new widgets...
  5. ?? Evernote does not create unsolicited notes. Please describer in detail the process that you go through when you add data to Word.
  6. Well done you. Always nice to know that sort of thing as part of any queries... so according to https://status.evernote.com/ Evernote did some servicing today. Might you have been caught up in that? If not - what else changed on your device recently? Updates / New software? You obviously know the drill...
  7. Sign out / sign back in, or maybe power device off and back on? Check there's no unusual demands on your connection...
  8. Oops. My nuke finger slipped. It wasn't a sensible response anyway...
  9. Asked and answered already - if you can't configure Evernote's native keyboard shortcuts so what you need works, Windows 11 has a built it copy shortcut that should do the job.
  10. Again, it's worth reporting this to Support - it could be a bug that they can quickly fix in the next few releases...
  11. Yup - we even have a help sheet for that - Tips for troubleshooting syncing issues - though I think it's safe to say that as we've never before had a query about possible sanctions against a specific country, it would not have helped you. The way to get the sort of coherent help you were looking for is to contact Support.
  12. What are you asking for? If you're a subscriber you're getting (amongst other things) chat and email help almost unlimited web storage for your notes (20TB or so) access to your data on most internet capable devices automatic OCR handwriting recognition sophisticated search options integrations with Google and other major suppliers filing infrastructure with Stacks/ Tags/ Shortcuts/ Notebooks/ Saved searches etc ...though the ability to order specific additions or changes to any of the above wasn't included
  13. You may have noticed that duplicate posts are not appreciated here... As to the general concept - there are many other audio recording apps out there, some of which offer the sort of word-by-word highlighting you mention. But that is a very niche need. I'd be happy with better speed and audio quality controls - and I actually use one app which is always recording (when active). When I tell it to 'start' recording - which is usually when I just realised I'm hearing an important bit that I want to remember - the app will trap the previous 30 seconds of audio, then continue until I tell it to stop again... when it returns to listening mode. With only two votes (so far) I doubt this request will get much traction, although some limited improvements might be in the pipeline for the future...
  14. Not following your logic - Windows 11 broke the screen clip option, but has a clip feature of its own that is almost as good. I made the change without an issue - but if you hate it, you hate it; cancelling is your choice.
  15. ...Because like I said, I've had 'no sync' days of my own, and I wanted to point out that any opinions you get here - unless they come from someone with 'EMPLOYEE' in their profile - are just opinions. The deal with the forum includes no abuse / no politics, so we can keep the horrible realities of the world away from the technical situation. Filling in the Support form will get you a ticket number, and within (usually) a few days, some kind of answer. I'd honestly be surprised if Evernote had sanctioned your IP address in some way - the company has no obvious motive to exclude its users in any geographic or political location. If you can get a ticket number please quote it here and I'll see whether a forum Admin can confirm one way or another.
  16. Sorry - should have said: we're mainly other users here. Reach out to Support for the official word.
  17. Hmmn - Can't speculate on reasons; I've had VPN connections refused because some server somewhere doesn't like my IP address (presumably for reasons of spam - I'm in Wales and the only people we offend are usually the English). I've also had days when sync didn't work for hours, then suddenly picked up as normal. I'd wait for an official reaction if you got a ticket number!
  18. No dumbness was detected here - Evernote's encryption is a bit basic in its coverage. Remember that most third party apps like spreadsheets, word processors and (maybe?) some coding apps will allow you to save an encrypted- / password-protected file which can be attached to a note for more security...
  19. ?? Please read the posts here more carefully. I didn't 'admit' anything, and I don't own a team - I'm another user, not an employee. The CEO's statement was to the effect that in light of comments from users that improvements were necessary to a system that was actively servicing 200 million+ users, they were looking into ways to further improve the system - already answering the question you asked.
  20. Hi. I'm on 10.40.9 and I can encrypt. Are you highlighting purely text without any formatting such as bullets, tables or images?
  21. Hi. Web Clips should be coming from your browser and the Evernote Clipper extension, not from the snipping tool. Clipper has options to choose -or not- a destination notebook.
  22. One of the many reasons for Evernote developing v10 a couple of years ago was to unify the appearance and features of the app across all clients and all supported operating systems. If collapsing outlines or headings are ever introduced, then it will be across the board.
