  1. Windows has the same file - C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\Roaming\Evernote\config.json ...with the same 20 limit. Per @PinkElephant in the original thread, I'd suggest if you get creative, rename the original to .OLD and copy the content to a new one. I have no need (yet) and no experience of changes here, so proceed at your own risk! Let us know how it goes please?
  2. My (windows) import folders work fine. My suggestion would be to delete the original folders and make new ones, and if that fails carry out a 'clean' reinstall of the app using Appcleaner to remove all current traces and downloading the latest version from Evernote.com.
  3. Hi. This has happened to me (the reset, not the hacking) so you should be safe. You're seeing the message when connected to Evernote, so it's most likely to be an official warning, and they're offering to email you with a separate link - just make sure the link goes to some variation on https://www.evernote.com... That email may go into your spam folder, and it will be addressed to your account email address which is presumably your log-in address too. If there's a problem you'll need to contact Support - we're mainly other users here.
  4. Hi. Did you create a new password as requested? Please provide a screenshot of the message you're seeing..
  5. Hi. I posted this about a hundred times, but here's another - how about a "clean" reinstall? To fix occasional errors with installs or updates on laptops or desktops - plus issues with speed or lag 1 - Make sure your notes are synced up to date 2 - Exit Evernote (if you can) / delete data from device 3 - Uninstall app with Appcleaner (Mac) or Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) 4 - Power device off / allow 10 seconds / power back on 5 - Download latest Evernote from Evernote.com 6 - Reinstall. It will take a little while for the app to be fully operational Additional Checks: Verify Evernote's Hardware Acceleration is set to ON - go to Tools > Settings > Preferences > Application and scroll to the bottom. The "hardware acceleration disabled" box should be UNticked, but if you're having issues change that setting and restart the device. (Come back and change it again if that doesn't help!) If you have any issues deleting Evernote data, see: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/1500004231762-Remove-Evernote-data-from-your-Mac-or-Windows-device
  6. I use Evernote on Win 11 without any issues. Try uninstalling and reinstalling. Full process here - To fix occasional errors with installs or updates on laptops or desktops - plus issues with speed or lag 1 - Make sure your notes are synced up to date 2 - Exit Evernote (if you can) / delete data from device 3 - Uninstall app with Appcleaner (Mac) or Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) 4 - Power device off / allow 10 seconds / power back on 5 - Download latest Evernote from Evernote.com 6 - Reinstall. 7. Hi. No. But one subscriber can share notebooks with others on free accounts (give it a few days for the share to work). The shared subscriber accounts will have the same limits as a subscriber, so free users can add their own notes beyond the 50 limit. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208314748 for more...
  8. Is this your business account? Because everyone has a 'personal' area plus the shared Business area where the Administrator governs who has access to what. You might want to look into this further starting here... https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005287
  9. ...given the 'double the price' comments it looks like they could lose 50% of subscribers and a big chunk of Free users without reducing income... and walk away with a hugely reduced network load. I'm looking forward to my future speed increases...
  10. LOL - we're all just users here (unless you see an 'Employee' flag) and sleep is just for the unemployed, right?
  11. Thanks - don't know whether Evernote would do that, but feel free to refer back here or use any content if you want - I was intending this as a stock reply to about 40 new posts that popped up the other day, but somehow they all managed to include something that I hadn't covered... still keeping the option open if the barrage continues...
  12. Sorry, but you don't. The Support team was overwhelmed by enquiries from various product changes, and closed down the chat option some time ago. Even email support is taking a while - the last report I saw as 14 days to get a human response.
  13. Incorrect. In the same way that TVs no longer use Cathode Ray Tubes but screens run on a variety of electronic light emitter systems, the underlying code for applications only runs on up to date operating systems. It's already been pointed out that your issue may be with your OS no longer supporting the old Evernote code, rather than any action on the company's part. Evernote has to stay up to date with browsers and operating systems.
  14. Hi. Can you explain a little more why you need the notebook stack? If you need to see all the contents of a specific notebook forinstance you could use the Filter feature. Choose 'located in' and use the notebook search box to find the notebook...
  15. You're posting as though you've explained this issue in detail, although I can't find where. What work deadline? And it's the holiday season, plus Evernote were already overwhelmed with support requests - likely turn-around on any query is going to be a couple of weeks unless and until they get a handle on things...
  16. ...And just to make things more fun, v10 moved various options around to different menus, so it takes a little longer sometimes to find and/ or use a specific feature. Like many, I held out for over a year before switching, but once committed I fairly quickly stopped using Legacy altogether and concentrated exclusively on v10. As you said, there will come a time when you no longer have a choice, so better to bite the bullet and get used to the new UI sooner rather than later. Despite the combative tone of a lot of the posts lately, we're very happy to try to help other users when we can.
  17. Notes will continue to be available in the web client, and content can be copy/ pasted or printed from there.
  18. Outline notes / hierarchical notes have been suggested several hundred times. Current option is to use a Table of Contents note with linked child notes.
  19. Quite a few other companies offer to import from Evernote. The only ways to export are as ENEX, HTML or PDF files. Export your notes: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/209005557
  20. Provided they didn't already break the device limit and try to access the account from more than two? I recommend you read the pop-up screens that warn you about the limits carefully - at the bottom of the screen is always an option to remove devices to continue access.
