  1. @Organizen May be more work that it is worth to you, but you could try the free service of FollowUpThen. It lets you create email reminders, which can be recurring if you like. Also, in Windows EN you can Ctrl-Copy Note Link and paste the link in the email. Then when the email arrives you just click the link and go to the note. Don't know what the similar functionality for the link is in Mac. So if you had four dates in the note you would create four email reminders. FWIW. For reference, I use this for the few notes I want to be really sure I remember beyond just the EN reminders and my TSW searches (today and the like). Same reason as you; email is guaranteed to get my attention.
  2. Scroll to the top of this page and you will see the voting mechanism.
  3. Okay, two more ideas, haven't seen this one before. Try logging into the web version to see if the note was synced at one time. If it is there try and delete it from the web. Disconnect from the internet and then try to move or delete it. If this works, realize that deleting the note does not effect the amount of upload you have used to date. If you are over limit your upload won't reset until your cycle date.
  4. You might try moving the note to a local notebook and then deleting it.
  5. Remove can be interpreted different ways as is obvious by this conversation. Personally, I would prefer the reminder be synced, not just the date and time. You lose sight of any completed reminders when the date/time gets synced to nothing. Not a good thing as far as I'm concerned if you want to ever go back and search for a reminder you've marked as done, which I have done in the past. So not the right tool for me or anyone else who might use reminderdonetime.
  6. Not sure what that means, but from their web page (remove being very specific in this case): Cronofy connects Evernote directly to your calendar so that any time you set a reminder in Evernote, a corresponding event will appear in your calendar. Then, from you calendar you can: change the time of your reminder by moving the event alter the name of your note by changing the name of the event remove the reminder by deleting the event
  7. There may be a setting someplace of which I was not aware, but when I deleted a reminder from my calendar the corresponding reminder in EN was cleared, not marked as done. I didn't care for that and decided it wasn't the tool for me. But then I had all of the "appointments" in my calendar created by Cronofy as remnants. So I was very careful to be sure I had deleted my account, disabled all permissions, etc., before I did the clean up in my calendar. If I hadn't and I simply purged all the added appointments I would have lost all those reminders in EN. Easy mistake for someone to make.
  8. Buyer beware. If you decide to discontinue use of the Connector you have to be very careful in disconnecting so as to not accidentally remove existing reminders from notes. Also, I had some completed reminders show up as open again after setting this up. They were older though so may have been from before EN made the significant changes that mad Day and the rest work. My experience anyway.
  9. Shift-Ctrl-Z is quicker for me. From any app as well, for any text selected.
  10. Until EN implements any of this I have implemented what Frank recommends, using PhaseExpress. I created a macro that does a search in EN based upon whatever text I have highlighted in whatever app I am in at the time, EN - Browser - whatever. The process is highlight text, Shift-Ctrl-Z, look at the results. FWIW.
  11. Did you try the Save Attachment workaround to see if the attachment was in the note yet not visible. Another easy way to check is to look at the note size in list view. Not contesting that the PDF should be visible just trying to see if you can get it back.
  12. I would submit a bug report. Workaround. This has happened to me before as well. To get to the attachment try right clicking in the note and then select save attachment. I have then added the attachment back into a new note and removed the old note. FWIW.
  13. Create a topic in one of the feedback forums, Windows here or Mac here, where up voting exists.
  14. On the iPhone select the text you want to highlight and then press the capital A in the bottom right below the note window.and you will see the highlight icon.
  15. For me, there are matters of fact and matters of opinion, oftentimes with a slippery slope between them. And the adjective best just adds ice. Thanks for putting up with my post, don't know why I posted it in the first place. Maybe because "for me", IMO, IMHO, and the like are sort of get out of jail free cards relative to opinion based matters. Whether I agree or not, it's just someone else's view. Now back to the topic at hand. </end of topic>
  16. If the twenty notes aren't in the trash, the only options can think of are to either copy/paste from the merged note back to the originals, or create 20 copies of the merged note and edit those back to the originals. Don't get why the merged notes weren't in the trash though, they should have been. Sure you didn't empty the trash at some point? if not you could submit a bug report to EN.
  17. @DTLow @mwlodarski clearly states "For me,...." in the post, kind of hard to disagree with that.
  18. From my store base retail experience we encrypted the credit card number from the POS terminal to the approver, never saw the number or PIN if a debit card. Other than that not a point of expertise for me. Perhaps someone with more knowledge will chip in. In any case, based upon the hacks in the news in the recent years, whatever standards and encryption that may be in place isn't working all that well. So if you don't want it seen the cloud isn't the place for it.
  19. To my limited knowledge FERPA and HIPPA would not effect all businesses, more health and education verticals. Good question on "standard" customer data, beyond credit card information, SSN and the like. Net of it all, it does not sound like EN will meet your encryption requirements. Quite a few other posts in these forums on this topic. Look up a user name GrumpyMonkey, he has strong views and ideas as well.
  20. You are welcome. You do understand it correctly. You can set the import notebook as your default notebook if you like, but if not, you do have to move the note later. Note that you can have multiple import folders all with their own designated notebook. To just move the text you could do a copy/paste, or better yet, save the document as an RTF or text file to the import folder. So yes, it may not be as convenient as it appears Onenote is for you. But you can give it a spin and see how it feels.
  21. On Windows you can print to PDF to a designated folder which EN will then automatically import into a designated notebook. See Tools - Import folders.
  22. EN Win confirm, ENEX files in Windows do not contain any notebook information. You either export by notebook or add a tag for notebook if you want to export all notes. The former tends to be the better alternative IMO.
  23. To be clear the EXB file does contain stacks and tag hierarchy if you leave it be But if you restore an EXB to get something out, the something out will not keep either.
