  1. Unfortunately you are probably right. As sad it is, to me it reflects the ignorance of all multi-language users around the world, customers that used EN for classes, multi-language projects, and so on. EN legacy has multi-language support (only know for windows) and a lot of international FOS projects implement it as well. For all multi-languaged users of EN this is strongly disappointing and a step back in a connecting world. Well, like CEO describes the big picture: EN -> accomplish anything <- well, here we are Small.
  2. Hi, there is maybe a chance to restore note information via the history. If you are on a paid plan you can view history on web or desktop clients and roll back to prior version of the note. BUT: a history is only available if the information you entered had been already synced to the cloud during entering process. The app behaviour you describe could relate to the actual bug in the EN app where content simply partially vanishes after saving. So you maybe out of luck. But it's worth checking history.
  3. @Becky M. The mostly unreliable sync on Android comes into account especially when I use offline notebooks to have important information on the go, when being cut off internet. As there is no background syncing of remote changes (changes not done on EN Android) you can never be sure, if your offline notebooks are up to date. Especially as downloading of the offline notebooks does not work in background. I think this is the reason why @Carl-L-NDwrote about the offline functionality not being usable on EN10 for Android. With EN 8.13.3 you could set a polling intervall and be sure, that your offline notebooks would be - rock solidly - updated at least at this interval. I loved this with EN8.13.3 and could rely on this when being abroad. With EN10 I had so many instances where I was lost with missing or outdated offline content, that I gave up using offline notebooks on EN10 for Android at all. I wished Evernote 10 for Android would return to the old offline capabilites we had on 8.13.3. We are heading for 2 years of EN10 now and still the offline issues (automatic reliable syncing / fast offline download) are unsolved...
  4. Hi, there is no configuration setting for this. My small guess it, that devs simply "forgot" this tiny window when implementing dark mode into the widget. I noticed this a while ago, too. Wondered, why they did not correct it meanwhile since this is obvious as soon as you test the widget in dark mode. Maybe too few EN staff testing (or even using ???) the Android client in real life to point it out ๐Ÿ˜‰. You could open a support ticket to request a fix.
  5. Strange. Normally you see this place holder on the legacy clients like on EN8.13.3. But your screenshot shows the EN 10 GUI. Can you confirm you are on EN10.37 for Android?
  6. Back to the initial topic. Support answered to my ticket. Nothing new for you guys here ๐Ÿ˜” Devs "are working earnestly" on a fix. "No time frame". The standard template texts I always get. Well for 1.5 years now. I am getting tired of this. I once again mailed them some actual observations: For me force clearing RAM and restarting EN cold fixes the image rendering bug temporarily on the last note I experienced the bug on. The inconsistency of the whole app is devastating me. Considering rolling back to EN 8.13.3 once again... ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿผ
  7. I do the same (Nimbus Notes mirror). It is sad that we pay for offline notes but honestly cannot use this feature on Android since EN10 but have to copy our mobile stuff to Nimbus Notes to make sure, we have access on the go. (Ended up at train station today and could not open the screen shot of my train connection I made on desktop yesterday in EN. First EN lasted around 1 minute to sync and show the note in inbox - than in addition: image rendering bug, pic not displayed...arrrrggg). Unfortunately had forgotten to mirror. Considering roll back to 8.13.3 What a misery. ๐Ÿฅด
  8. I can confirm the inconsistency. If I rely on a note edited on mobile being synced straight away I always force sync via pull down in the notebook view on Android and wait for the green icon upon the note to vanish. Syncing stops being consistent when you send EN to the background (sometimes it does not even run when in the foreground). Yes, that is a show stopper in 2022 when you could expect push sync based service. EN8.13.3 does this better, with rock solid polled syncing for remote changes and immediate syncs for mobile changes. EN 10 stays behind yesterday's and today's possibilites. My REALLY straw is that Evernote is preparing something modern and up-to-date in the background and will at some point unleash a new sync-beast ๐Ÿ˜‰ CEO announced an overhaul of the sync for 2022 at the beginning of the year and by around 06/2022 support told me to expect something "not before end of the year". Well obviously it did not come yet...5 months to go...maybe Ian's x-max present to us customers ๐Ÿ™‚
  9. With 10.35 and 10.36 I had no image rendering issues anymore which was really a relieve. Now they rolled out 10.37 with a new GUI design for tablets (side bar) ..... and guess what ... boom, first note I open on Android I get the exact same error as with older builds as Paul A. posted. Image rendering bug is back. What is going on with development? Re-opened another ticket (#3548523).
  10. Update for 10.36: The data loss problem seems - for me - gone. But the save tick button not reacting or reacting after long time (sometimes almost a minute while device starts cooking) is still present. While that time EN is totally frozen. Raised a ticket on the save/back button problem (#3547007) and got the immediate answer, that it is a known issue devs are "working on earnestly". Unfortunately without a timeline so this newly introduced issue seems still unsolved. Is anyone here that could reproduce when this issue started? I think like all versions since 10.34+ might be affected. One could roll back than maybe. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  11. PinkElephant: nice how easy your predictable reactions are triggered. I saw that coming ๐Ÿคฃ First get an Android than we could discuss our experiences on eye level. This is the Android forum and you have no first hand experience on what is going with this client.
  12. I am getting the same exact issues increasingly as well. Contacted support. As often they confirmed the problem without deeper diving. They assured they would be (quote) "honestly" working on a fix. Well that is the least. That gives me a doubtful feeling about all the other bugs and answers I got about the priority of bug fixing in general. I would never release unstable software that is actively known to me to risk loss of client's data. Still after 1.5 years no improvement in dev management. What a mess.
  13. That is wrong. "All changes saved" has nothing to do with sync state. Try it out: type something, wait for "all saved", immediately force close the windows app and check on Evernote web. Your last edits will never show up until you restart the windows app for completing sync. Since introduction of EN10 for windows no change. At least - some months ago - they added a wait-for-sync message when trying to exit the windows app via quit while the "saved changes" are not synced yet. Important: you can be quite sure sync has completed if the app let's close itself via menu-quit. Hope the sync overhaul CEO announced brings the engine to a level one could expect in 2022.
  14. For me it is quite obvious that after 34 releases for the mobile platform in less than 2 years, I still see original bunch of initial bugs from the very 10.0: - overall poor app performance and sluggish gui - offline notebooks downloading forever and only with screen on - no background sync, therefore remote changes not synced to mobile - program start and initial sync of homescreen lasts pretty/too long - conflicting the concept of quick note taking on the go - embedded images not shown reliably Most users in the forums here get in touch with support to feed with bug reports as I did a lot...I mean a lot of times.... all i got in 1,5 years is......"known bug"...."soon"...."later".... ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  15. Around every 5 or 6 releases I open a ticket on this since the very 10.0. Support always confirmed this bug but had no info / timeline whether or when it will be resolved. Please all report this bug when affected to gather info for support.
  16. Hi, never saw something like that on my installations. Maybe you could try clearing your profile (sign off without keeping the data). Then re - signin. If this does not help yet, perhaps try reinstalling freshly. But make sure all your data is synced first.
  17. As PinkElephant wrote "pressing" the X is not closing the app as one would expect on windows. It stays in background. But therefore it should start immediately if you restart it again from task bar. (just checked, worked like expected). Having to kill the processes to restart Evernote is not the expected behaviour. Maybe there is something wrong with your installation. Maybe you try fresh reinstalling?
  18. For me as well, the content is saved without hitting the green checkmark anyway which is a fail safe behaviour. I like it. For me the checkmark "only" ends the editing (keyboard is closed).
  19. Thank you for raising the ticket. Glad to see, that support as well interpretes this a bug - not a normal behaviour. Let's see, what they find out.
  20. New EN10.32 installed on my testing device: bug still present ๐Ÿ˜”
  21. For using 8.13.3 please download via the link above but using https. Http will likely not work. For getting access to 8.13.3 you need to contact support and ask for granting access. They then (hopefully) ask for your IP and set you on a whitelist for logging in. Without that you cannot login in EN8.13.3 from Android 10+ anymore as they block it to force the use of EN10. I just did that and happily use EN8.13.3 again since support told me they would not gain any improvements to sync or performance before end of 2022.
  22. I made it to tech support level: don't want to depress anybody here but they said, they hope that substantial improvements on performance and sync on Android client are not expected before end of the year. At least they meant this year ๐Ÿ˜‰
  23. EN 10.31 for Android: Unfortunately this bug still is not addressed (now present EN 10.0-10.31). Always having chills when I am having to show a bar code or something from within a note which is embedded picture. You never know, if it will work this time or not.
  24. Well obviously this bug squashing cycle does not apply to Android development ๐Ÿ˜‰ Wish it would...
  25. I have only 1800 notes. Around 9 GB in ENEX backup. Given the limit of 100.000 notes per account I thought I was no heavy user ๐Ÿ˜‰
