95% of the time on my phone I need a quick access to my recent notes and previous version of the home screen provided exactly that (no clicking needed): It's an easy fix if they make an option so that notes tab is my default screen when I start the Evernote on my phone.

Yeah and I hate it. The first thing I want to see are my notes. I do not create notes on my phone, but I do view them or edit them. Hopefully they will add an option to pick what you want to see when you open the app - create, notes, shortcuts, tasks, calendar.

Yeah I do not agree with you. They are fixing it. Both clients are on the latest version. 2 latest notes, 2 different thumbnails. Look what I see at the moment: Android: Windows: And yes, I did force close both clients and opened them again. Same result.

Finally some good news! I hope they fix it soon, because it's a disaster at the moment. For me the thumbnail for the same notes are a lot of times different on Android and Windows client.

It would be a smart thing to make beta things optional and not forced. They have Google Play console for beta testing, they don't use it. Also I REALLY hope they don't settle on this design. It's horrible that I can't see my recent notes anymore and it has so much wasted space. They are currently deciding on these 2 designs: Second one looks good, but I still don't know why they greet me and why do I need the date in a note taking app... Again lot's of wasted space. 🙄 Looking forward to the "much faster" stuff!

Same here. No crash, but it's always updating/flickering when I open the app. If note was opened from a session before it is closed now and I need to search and open it again. That is annoying. It feels like there is no background sync anymore. Sync only happens when I open EN.

It's Evernote. When you find a bug it's always Evernote. It has a lot of bugs. The bug and a workaround (3 quick swipes) is documented for a long time (since v10 release) here on the forums and reported to support but they don't fix it. I think it's time they develop a new Android client, because the current one is not good.

Yeah I'm very happy that we finally got collapsable sections, but it's not available on Android, so for me it's more or less a useless feature right now. This feature would made a lot of sense on mobile phones, because of the smaller screens. Anybody has any date when it's coming, or maybe a better question is IF it's coming. 🙃

Yeah that does not work, at least not forever. I used that workaround on many notes and just like that one update changed all my thumbnails... They need to implement a proper solution.

And it will not work properly. Search in Evernote for Android is simply garbage now because you need to use filters that complicate searching for no good reason. Support is also useless.

The problem is that we are waiting for some Android bug fixes that are very basic, easily repeatable and very well documented here and to the email support. These problems exist since the v10 release (soon 3 years anniversary! 🎂🎉🍾) and here we are... still no Evernote stuff interacting on the forum, still no use from email support. Only promises on paper and higher subscription prices. And what are they doing... a new UI. 🙃

I also have this problem. I think the problem is if note is bigger in size (with pictures or other attachments). I think that the problem is that the loading icon does not disappear. The note is downloaded, but it does not open. If I go back and again click on the same note it opens normally.

It's funny that it's always Evernote that has some very weird Android implementations and decisions. I do not recall when was the last time that back button in some app behaved like currently in Evernote.

No, on Android the latest version is the same as on iOS - v10.58.1.

Looks like Evernote never fixed search inside a note on Android, even though support told me that it was fixed. On Windows search is still working fine. I asked them in which version they fixed search and I got no answer back. So looks like Android version is still very much neglected. I hope that new Evernote owners turn the company around before it is too late.

And now suddenly I was able to login with email and password, but still not with Google button. Weird.

Yeah, something is not alright. I also can't sign in anymore. Not via Google button and not with my email.

Well I be damned... Evernote support messaged me today and they are saying that they fixed search inside notebook! 👍 For me, Evernote update is still not visible in Google Play. If someone already has never version than v10.55.1 (new one will probably be v10.55.2 or v10.56.), let me know if they actually fixed it.

Hmm... I have Windows client 10.60.4 and it works fine on 2 PCs. I also just tried Evernote in web and it's also fine. Windows: Web: Here is also a video (android v10.51 client that I have on my phone), just to make sure that we are actually talking about the same stuff: screen-20230822-171055~2.mp4 As you can see, notebook "pijače" is preselected in search everywhere. This is the way it should be. A consistent Evernote search behaviour on every platform.

So, yesterday there was a new blog post and inside it I found this: https://evernote.com/blog/future-proofing-evernotes-foundations/ So... in v10.52 they did a big mobile app update. Search problem also started in v10.52. Coincidence? I doubt that. :)
