  1. Regardless of the proprieties involved here, the fact is that Evernote Legacy is no longer available, and is not coming back. The easiest and most efficient way to retrieve the current content of an account is to install v10 on a desktop and subscribe for one month. Export existing notebooks to ENEX to migrate elsewhere, or HTML for long-term local access. If that's impractical for any reason, free third-party software does exist that downloads an account (again to desktop) for backup purposes - I've no idea whether a local Evernote install is required or not (can anyone else confirm?). The software is Windows/ Mac/ Linux compatible, and saves notes to ENEX format. https://github.com/vzhd1701/evernote-backup Rather than agonize over the details I'd suggest it's more practical to rescue what is available as soon as possible...

  4. Hi. Clearly not expected behaviour - and not a common thing either. It is is anything to do with Evernote you should be able to fix it by a Revo uninstall / power off and back on / reinstall with a fresh download from Evernote.com. If the situation continues I'd suspect you security software of being over zealous...
  5. Suddenly in April, the Web Clipper on Safari ... continues to work as it always did. It's in the toolbar. Try right click in tool bar, edit tool bar, drag the elephant icon into the active area. It's logging into the account - for which it briefly opens a window. Make sure popup windows are allowed for Evernote.com. If it refrains to work (not my case), a logout/login or a fill uninstall/reinstall may help. Sorry, that's standard stuff. It doesn't have to do with EN, it has to do how Apple is increasing browser security (which is a good thing) and makes sure on potentially critical actions that the users intends to do what he tries to do (which is another good thing). But as all security measures, it can get into the way things used to work.

For nearly a month now and many service requests to Evernote customer service, I still cannot get the Desktop PC version of 10.81.4 to load and get the error message pop up box: "Something went wrong on our end, sorry about that. Please try restarting Evernote. Exit Code: 1073741819". I re-start, I re-boot my PC, I delete everything using the Revo Uninstaller and it still will not start. I've followed all of the instructions below several times from Evernote customer service: Here are some steps you can follow: 1. Check your notes on Evernote Web: First, make sure all your important notes are safe and accessible on Evernote Web. You can do this by logging into Evernote on your web browser and checking if everything looks okay. 2. Open File Explorer: This is where you can navigate through your computer's files and folders. You can usually find it by clicking on the folder icon on your taskbar or by searching for "File Explorer" in the search bar. 3. Find the %AppData% folder: In File Explorer, you'll want to search for a folder called "%AppData%". You can do this by typing "%AppData%" (without quotes) into the address bar at the top of File Explorer and hitting Enter. 4. Locate and delete the Evernote folder: Inside the %AppData% folder, you should see a folder named "Evernote". Delete it by right-clicking on it and selecting "Delete". This will remove any leftover files from Evernote on your computer. 5. Download and install Revo Uninstaller: Revo Uninstaller is a helpful tool that can make sure all traces of Evernote are removed from your system. You can download it from https://www.revouninstaller.com/start-freeware-download-portable/, and then install it. 6. Reinstall Evernote: Once Revo Uninstaller has finished removing Evernote, you can reinstall it by downloading the latest version from our website: https://evernote.com/download. It's not on my end, it's on Evernote's end and they fail to do anything about it, except re-sending me the same above instructions that do not work. Before this version, I've never had any problems with many Evernote updates on the same desktop Windows 10 PC. Has anyone else experienced this and how to fix it because I'm not getting anywhere with Evernote to provide a solution on THEIR END? Thanks, Vince

Note: We have recently updated our authentication flow for security reasons, causing user sessions to expire more frequently to keep your account safe. If you're being logged out after the Evernote tab has been reopened after a few hours, please know that is normal behavior. If you're being logged out of Evernote Web as soon as you log in, or you're being logged out frequently throughout the day, please find a workaround below: Log in through this page Go to https://www.evernote.com/client/web Clean your browser’s cache If none of this helps, try using a different browser.   8. This is typically a configuration file or similar that isn't updating. The quickest and most certain solution is to uninstall Evernote using the free Revo Uninstaller program which will have an effective reset. The download the latest installer from evernote.com. Reinstall and you'll see the box just once and thereafter it should be service as normal.
  9. First you can export any notebook, any size. It won’t help much if the ENEX file grows too large to import. But there is help: The ENEX export can split itself automatically into segmented files of a certain size each, for example 2GB. This way you can export a large notebook, and still get files that can be handled. Personally I doubt that you really have 250GB, although it’s not impossible. To see the size of your database, look up the location of your local folder in EN app settings. When you open it in Explorer / Finder, you see how much data is used by it. There is no way around importing the files. Yes, this will take a while. Inofficial hint: Another user contacted support. They tried to help, and raised his upload limit for one month, so he could move all of his data in one go. No guarantees, and support is currently very slow to respond.   10. Hi. Someone reads every post you submit - in this case it was me; and I deleted your multi-paragraph rant against the AI taking over the world because it's irrelevant here. Evernote has specific policies about personal data - see https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313518-How-does-Evernote-use-my-personal-information-and-data. There is no AI element here unless users choose to involve it.
  11. Hi. Try uninstalling with Revo Uninstaller Free to completely remove a possibly corrupted installation from your system, re-download from Evernote.com and reinstall.
  12. Hmmn. We only see occasional reports of logouts and payment issues here, but I guess this might be related to Evernote's more secure authentication process. Only way to tell is to contact Support - try https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new?guest=true. You'll need to be very patient, and when you get a boilerplate "try this" response, make sure you reply to confirm whether you've tried all the options.
  13. Export as ENEX from Teams, each notebook 1 export file. Import into the private account* Check that the import has worked Get the Teams account deleted. Hint: if you are a bit tech savvy, you could use the GitHub project for the export. If you exceed your quota, you need to wait for 30 days, until the quota resets. Import active notebooks first. Probably wait with deleting the Teams account until all imports are done.

  15. I wrote the below to feedback@evernote.com, but I wanted to share it here to see how many agree with my sentiment. Hopefully if enough of us speak out something will change: ----------------------------- You guys are iterating way too quickly, releasing too many features at once and breaking workflows with the bugs that they bring because the new features haven't been tested enough prior to release. Evernote is productivity software that people use to organize their work and lives and therefore it needs to be reliable. Things were better when you were focused on reliability than adding new features. We need you to slow down, if you read your forums most posts are complaining about bugs, new features are nice but please let them bake longer in the oven and only release them when they have been thoroughly tested and are ready, not quickly to get them out the door. Please consider a true Early Access program that is opt in so those looking to try new features can and those looking for ultimate stability can stay on a stable track. Many software vendors have a beta program, in fact most do. Right now I feel like all of your paying customers are beta testers and that is not OK. You are selling the most expensive notetaking app on the market, please start to act like it. ----------------------------- If enough of us share this sentiment and pass this along to them, maybe they will listen to us. Strength in numbers.
  16. This has been an occasionally reported issue. The normal solution is to uninstall using Revo Uninstaller to ensure a complete clear out of corrupted program files. Then download the latest installer from evernote.com Reinstall using the new installer. Login. Your notes and notebooks will be restored while Evernote is running.

It takes a few seconds for content to show as I scroll and it definitely impedes productivity because I don't know where I am in a note until it decides to reveal itself. Maybe an update down the road will fix it - we'll see? My current Google Workspace scrolling is "snappy" and normal with the same content.
  18. EN is still not working on Firefox for me (and it works on Chrome, same machine). Out of curiosity I looked at the html of the error page and I've pasted it below with hope that you guys that are smarter than me could provide some intel. I replaced the sensitive info. Note that EN thinks the userAgent is Edge (last script at the bottom, in bold). Really interesting (concerning?) is that where I've written RANDOMEMAIL@SOMETHING.COM...those are emails from people I regularly communicate with, but some of those addresses ARE NOT in my EN!   20. I highly doubt that Evernote will make a change based on a complaint thread in the forum. A better use of everyone’s time is to submit a support ticket if you have an actual problem. Gripes can be sent to feedback@evernote.com

If you'd like some help with your issues, please start your own thread with full details of you device and OS / Evernote version numbers, plus details of what you're trying to accomplish and what's going wrong. We're mainly other users here, but may be able to help. If you simply wanted to feedback to Evernote, maybe talk to them direct via feedback@Evernote.com

  23. So on May 2, 2024, Evernote Support <support-webform@evernote.com> provided an AI-generated reply just a couple of minutes after I submitted my support request re: the discrepant renewal rates. I waited till May 4 to follow up by re-asking why the lower rate appeared in the billing section of my account on or prior to March 2. The reply from an actual person on the Evernote Support Team (please see also my screenshot attachment of the reply): I was billed in 2022 and 2023 for my Plus Annual subscription (please see the 2 remaining screenshots). It most certainly was not discontinued for several years, and as I previously wrote, Evernote did not formally tell me till I recently received a May 1 email that my Plus subscription was transitioned to a Personal subscription. I have paid for an Evernote subscription since Nov. 28, 2016. Does Evernote consider me a leech or did the Support Team member speak out of turn by citing false information? Would established Premium and Personal subscribers consider me a leech for choosing the lower-priced Plus tier in Nov. 2016 because it best suited my needs? for not paying for my free account (separate account) since Oct. 2009?
