  1. Yeah, sounds too good to be true... Anyway, your data is safe since this tool takes ENEX files as input. It doesn't connect to your evernote account, as far as I understand it...
  2. I have no experience with this, but this may be worthwhile to look at: https://www.bitrecover.com/evernote/converter/
  3. It still works on my windows client 10.48.4 (ctrl-v paste)
  4. When saving the search you can opt to add the saved search to the shortcut list
  5. What was the exact evernote version on your crashed computer, I assume it was still legacy or was it V10 already? If it was the latest V10, tags shouldn't just disappear after reinstalling it on another computer...
  6. Agreed, except if you would like to visualize related notes in a graph
  7. Unless you regularly backup your notes in both ENEX and HTML format (html is easier in case of a single note recovery). I also backup my full evernote database at once by synchronizing the local database of my legacy client. Of course, in case of lost notes you should first unplug your network before opening the legacy client to retrieve the lost note from your local database.
  8. The most important one is still not implemented: full export, attachments included
  9. "...Thank you so much for getting back to me. I appreciate your clarification and insight. Upon checking, this is currently a known issue that our team is working to fix. Although I am unable to provide a definite time on when it will be resolved, I can assure you that our development team is working diligently to address this issue..." When receiving this same reply 8 months ago, I was confident that the performance issues would be solved soon, but now I'm afraid I slightly misunderstood the expression "working diligently"...
  10. Yeah, but the reason that I issued a new ticket is that my previous ticket is in the closed state. So it isn't ongoing anymore. If they are still working on it, they shouldn't close it. Also, in my new ticket I emphasized a few things that were not mentioned explicitly before...
  11. I just issued an extra support ticket to wake them up, all affected users should do as well...
  12. The new v10.42 has been installed on my android phone now. I'm always surprised how responsive it can be after a fresh install. The android client would be perfect if it would stay this way. Why is it so hard for the evernote engineers to find the cause of the performance issues that occur after a while. This problem is so easy to reproduce and completely predictable. It looks like garbage is building up over time and this, combined with their obsession to cache everything, results in this behavior. Ironically, the warm start, intended to save a little startup time, causes much more performance problems during normal operation later on. Or maybe EN is just not interested in these problems since they are so focused on new fancy features?
  13. I thought that as well but in the mean time I noticed that performance always degrades, independent whether off line notes are activated or not.
  14. Yeah but the tag filters are cleared after the note creation, the context is set back to the full note list. So you can't create multiple notes in that tag context. I don't see the logic. This is different from notebooks where the notebook stays selected until you clear it explicitly. Tags are always promoted as a good alternative for notebooks, which isn't the case due to this counterintuitive behavior. edit: as work around you could restore the tag context by navigating back ( alt ← ) after the note creation
  15. It still works on the windows client v10.46.7 : the filename is retained and is copied in the note title as well, completely as expected. Seems to be mac specific
  16. Alt + Ctrl + S still works perfectly on my windows 10 desktop (latest evernote release v10.46.7)
  17. @IanSmall , when may we expect this: "...And most importantly, over the course of 2022, we will complete our multi-year journey to a more reliable, faster, and more modern sync architecture—the very backbone of the Evernote experience..." https://evernote.com/blog/ceo-update-january-2022/
  18. I didn't express myself well, I never had an app like IFFFT, Filterize or anything else that may access my evernote. I just don't want third party apps reading my data. The only explanation is that it's caused by a V10 bug.
  19. A single notebook of 3000 notes Running the latest software v10.41, download hasn't be improved for offline notebooks, still busy for two days now...
  20. No, I haven't raised this with support since I assume you already did when you discovered it in august? I never share notes, so this is caused by EN. edit: I don't give other apps access to my evernote like IFFFT or Filterize
  21. yep, I also have unexpected shared notes, why is this potential security hole still there?
  22. I don't think so, I started it yesterday morning for 3000 notes and is still busy, stuck at about 40% . Last time I tried, it took 4 days. I see exactly the same behaviour now...
  23. I refer to concurrent programming experts, who can prevent data race problems by proper design instead of patching it afterwards, who know the fundamental synchronization concepts which are independent of a specific platform. The new architecture should be designed by these experts, and the legacy team(s) mastered these principles
  24. Please open the ticket anyway. The more complaints the better, because EN still prioritizes fancy features above critical bugs in their cloud backbone.
  25. It's not enough to press the "save" button (checkmark), you also have to wait for the arrow and press this as well. Then you have to wait for the note list before closing EN. All this may take up to 30 seconds are sometimes even more (minutes in the worst case). Please raise a ticket, this will increase the prio of these bugs
