  1. Hopefully Bending Spoon developers are more experienced in concurrent programming techniques
  2. What exactly do you mean by "remains in beta"? Was it intended to be released now? I'm sure that concurrent editing is much more challenging than the simple sync we have now, and that is already a disaster.
  3. I know that the mac implementation is poor, but Legacy windows HTML export is perfect: the note links are relative links to the proper html notes in the folder hierarchy and all resources can be navigated from within the notes. It really behaves like your own private website. Also, different from the bloated V10 html, the legacy is very compact and readable. Now, more than 2 years later, V10 developers are still "working diligently" at coding a basic html link. Please electron developers, If you don't know how to do it, have a look in the legacy windows implementation, you can learn a lot about basic web technology... If legacy would be stopped before this is fixed in V10, I'll be forced to quit immediately to safeguard my precious data
  4. And they need to provide a full HTML export, with working links to notes and resources ! Especially now that a proper roadmap isn't communicated, I need to ensure that my data is safe and can be converted to a standardized document. I want to be able to read it without any exotic tool or app...
  5. looks like chatGPT who was arguing that we are still 2022 🙂
  6. Nothing new or unexpected in that announcement. I don't see why this should be hidden...
  7. Yesterday I saw a new announcement from Bending Spoons but I can't find it back. Has anybody else seen this and where can I find it?
  8. I think these are temporary files, used while editing note attachments until they are saved back on the EN server. These files should have been removed afterwards. This is actually a disk leak, I'm afraid. Anyhow, these files may be neglected for your symbolic linking...
  9. Wirth's Law : "Software gets slower faster than hardware gets faster"
  10. Is this on the windows client? How many notes do you merge and what's the note size of the individual notes?
  11. If you mean performance feels like it is 1998 and not like electron 2023, then I would be very happy with it 😏
  12. I'm a little bit surprised that you don't mention the hard problems. Don't you have permanent sync and performance problems, especially with your mobile device? Do you know that your weekly html backups are useless because all links to your attachments and notes are broken and that note links are not supported in your ENEX export as well?
  13. And where are the note ids coming from? Note ids are not saved in the enex file. Does Devonthink uses the evernote API to extract the note id?
  14. you should look for a way to export/import and export again later on. Today, evernote is the safest place to store your data: if the EN service would ever stop, all other note apps which don't have it already will happily provide ENEX import for 100 million users.
  15. I did a similar test on android: after that, my android client refused to sync new notes from my windows client, the complete note list was frozen. After one day, logging out / in of the android client solved the problem and everything was synced again, android sync is still very buggy...
  16. Yes, you may hide the actual note link behind a specific text, but in this case it's probably easier to give the central note a proper title avoiding this large number of steps each time a link will be made?
  17. It's not very clear in which direction you would like to link: do you want links in your central note to all other related notes, or do you want to link from each other related note to that central one? There are several ways to add links, but in this case you may put your central note(s) in your favorites. Then every time you need to link to this central note, you just drag it from the favorites in the note you are editing. In your central note you will see the backlinks to all the notes that have linked to this one. You find the favorites in the left toolbar, the star beneath the home icon.
  18. Thanks for testing 🙂 I forgot to mention that my tests were also with a stable WiFi setup (200 Mb) Please keep us informed how performance evolves next weeks...
  19. As I already mentioned, after a logout/login the android client performance is acceptable but performance degrades dramatically over de following weeks. Thanks for testing the V10 android client on your new phone. What type is it? how long does it take to exit the editor and close a simple text note? How long does it take to take a picture and close the note?
  20. just leaving the editor sometimes takes 5 minutes on android 😒
  21. What does this say about the rest of his predictions?
  22. Hmm, he published it 18 hours ago. He should know that his video is obsolete. I think he's biased...
  23. What exactly do you mean by "If I click on those individual files": is it a single left click, double click, right click? Does it behave like a folder with a containing pdf file?
