  1. Right, the problem is indeed in the links pointing at the attached file. The solution takes one or two lines of HTML code. 2 years ago, I already fixed one of their exported html files and sent that example to EN support . So far it hasn't been implemented unfortunately. Last month they told me that they are still looking for the root cause 😄
  2. Yes, and that was the reason that I asked if it would be possible to upload one example of such a wrapped file for further investigation. I can't reproduce your problem. It works just fine in my windows client... But your problem is not the problem discussed in this thread by the way...
  3. Well, you could say that of many large companies that have acquired innovative startups to gain expertise in a specific domain. But from that moment on it is part of the company and they can say that it is their own development.
  4. yeah, these delays are very annoying too, but data loss, the topic of this thread, is unacceptable
  5. Yep, stability is still a serious issue, see also https://discussion.evernote.com/forums/topic/146151-not-sure-i-can-trust-en-right-now-more-than-half-a-detailed-work-note-disappeared/#comment-685535
  6. I've also seen similar behavior: edited content was suddenly deleted when I reopened the note. All editing on one device, no concurrent editing. And important to note: the correct changes were in the note history, so something went wrong afterwards (race condition?) As a result, I always have to check my notes now whether changes have been persisted or not... Is @Federico Simionato or support already aware of this issue?
  7. Did you edit/view the note on different devices? Have you checked the note history?
  8. Yes, and what could also help is that they get rid of their javascript addiction in this case. I wouldn't be to surprised if the converter is written in javascript instead of a high performant language like C++ or Rust...
  9. I also experience delays of minutes sometimes but typically it's below 10 seconds... Let's try to estimate how long it would take to convert all notes in batch: For 10 billion notes in total and an average conversion time of 10 ms, this would take 3 years (on a single core processor) 😕
  10. Yep, for three weeks already since the release of RTE (RealTimeEditing / collaborative editing) Evernote is now much faster on my 4 year old Samsung A50. What's more, there's no performance degradation over the weeks, no glitches or deadlocks. Taking quick notes is possible again. It saves me money because I'm no longer forced to buy a new phone 🙂
  11. Yes, it should be a stylistic cleanup only. As long as AI knows nothing about semantics, content should never be removed. I believe more in non-destructive AI assistance, such as AI search in unstructured databases. That will make a huge difference, especially for users who are not the author of the database.
  12. Yes, I had a similar issue on my windows client (10.57.6) : I lost a text line I added a few hours ago to an existing note. This line was still there in the current history version which should be the same as my clients version! I tried to synchronize but it didn't appear in my clients... Edit: after thinking it through, a little bit more context: I created the note on my android phone, closed the note and put my phone to sleep. I went home and tried to open that note in my windows client. The note was there but the pictures wouldn't load. In order to get the images, I opened my note on my phone again. Immediately the pictures arrived in my open note on the windows client. I added the single line of text in the windows client I closed the note in android and windows a few hours later I discovered that the text line was not there anymore as described above Conclusion: this is a merge problem, a little bit unexpected considering that Yjs keeps update timestamps to identify the order of updates and to resolve conflicts. This mechanism seems to have failed in this case...
  13. Support should at least know this. A connection overload should never cause data corruption. RTE should work fine offline and should merge the changes later. In this case I don't think there was even collaborative editing involved?
  14. No, I tested that already on android, it still changes the update time by just scrolling to the end
  15. I can't reproduce this, would it be possible to upload one of these unopened wrapped pdf files so that I can investigate it in more detail?
  16. With which tool do you extract the individual pdfs out of that external wrapping? What file extension do these files have?
  17. On windows, no need to scroll, just ctrl home to jump directly to the top...
  18. 3. Open the note in other window (double click in the note list)
  19. Have you updated to the latest release 10.57.5-win-ddl-public (4090) ?
  20. Not so sure about that: EN support themselves just advised me to use the legacy windows client to work around the buggy V10 html export. So it seems they still consider legacy as an official V10 extension...
  21. The same for me, and moreover it remains stable and very responsive even after 10 days of intensive use, which was completely different before the RTE release!
  22. It is the open source core component underneath RTE : https://yjs.dev/#features
