Yeah - Windows can't open a file directly from a note - attachments are encoded somehow - so Evernote extracts the original file format for you (or another app) to edit, then will import the changed version back into the Evernote app. But for reasons best known to Windows, Evernote can't then tidy up and just delete the duplicate, so it just stays there. I've deleted the contents of my folder once or twice without any obvious issues.

Having the same reaction here to opening MSG files in the new Outlook which is "coming in March" according to MS. How are you trying to get Evernote to 'open' Outlook? I can add new calendar accounts via Evernote's Home Page...

You could contact Support to see whether they can offer any suggestions (we're mainly all users here) but that will take some time and probably is a dead end. If you're working from a restrictive location, chances are that outgoing traffic is being blocked or delayed. Can you send outgoing emails? You can create a note by email too... - just forward individual emails or web page shares. It's also possible to add reminders, tags and assign notebooks in the process. If your clipped material includes an image, or links to a web page with an image, then it may be automatically added to the note. Basically create a new plain text note and copy the content across and the image should disappear. Or switch to a view like 'side list' which does not include thumbnails.

Hi. You're probably not having the same issue. 'Losing' all notes is usually a sign you're not connected to the correct account - try signing out and back in and also use a different device if you can to check the account.

Try a clean reinstall - 1 - Make sure your notes are synced up to date (check the web client or another device) 2 - Exit Evernote (if you can) / delete data from device 3 - Uninstall app with Appcleaner (Mac) or Revo Uninstaller Free (Win) 4 - Power device off / allow 10 seconds / power back on 5 - Download latest Evernote from Evernote.com 6 - Reinstall. It will take a little while for the app to be fully operational If that hasn't fixed anything, check your local housekeeping - how much free storage space? What other processes are active? Do you have good network speed?

Hi. Since v10 has to set up a new local management system on your device and download your entire database it can seem slow at first. If you leave Evernote active for some hours after updating it will catch up. If it's still slow after that, there's probably something wrong with the installation. Mine works effectively on a 10-year-old laptop. The latest version is 10.80.3

No, they are not. You can still access your account and download the content. With more than 50 notes you may no longer add notes.

So if I right-click an image I get.... - I can also drag and drop the image to my desktop, and from there into another document.

You actually quoted 10.86 initially. 10.68 is now well out of date whatever your system is telling you. Please download the installer from Evernote.com and update to a more recent version. Also your original image shows a scroll bar by the option. Try down...
