  1. It's also notable that discounts are usually intended to attract new customers or retain departing ones rather than reward existing ones - see insurance companies, internet providers etc. There are discounts for paying annually instead of monthly... I just extended by VPN service by 2 years for a substantial discount. I had been intending to go to a new provider... Measure the value of the service against the discounts available to you at any given time. Plus - Evernote (we may have mentioned before) didn't have any increases for several years. They're catching up.
  2. Sounds like a common fault already discussed here - the instant a file is visible to Evernote, it's selected to be attached to a note; whether the scan is complete or not. Windows and the scanner software tend to object. No way for Evernote to detect when the scan is finished (Windows file-locking issue) so the solution is to scan to a desktop folder, do any housekeeping / renaming etc, then move the file to an Import Folder connected to your account... Create import folders
  3. Hi. I'm Windows 11 and Evernote 10.80.2 - and the windows fit perfectly for me. Can you give us more detail or a screenshot?
  4. Hi. You already did the basics by contacting Support - I'll flag your ticket for an Admin to look at; Support have been very busy, with some long delays before acknowledging queries. They do seem to be getting better slowly....
  5. Hi. If you need detailed reassurance, you're best contacting Evernote via Support. We're mainly other users here, so all we can offer is opinions, not facts. AFAIK Evernote has not -yet- been successfully "hacked". Ever. The company appears to take security very seriously: see https://evernote.com/security and https://evernote.com/privacy/policy. Support is here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new
  6. Hi. Feed it back or contact Support - I suspect they'll react quickly to these issues...
  7. Hi. I don't disbelieve that you're having issues, but Evernote does not randomly encrypt parts of notes. Please start from your device / OS and Evernote version numbers and describe exactly what you are seeing (screenshots would be nice), and confirm whether you have checked your notes in another client to see whether this is an account issue, or just affects one device.
  8. It is not Evernote's finest moment, but if you give up at least going through the official motions, you may as well just move to another provider. I do believe they're trying to get a service up and running again, but I have been in a support team in this situation and my sympathies are all with the people working there. They're just getting deluged with issues and complaints - and probably battering their bosses from the other side for more help. But how do you get another 100 Evernote experts trained up in a few weeks? The answer is: you don't. You try and send as much help to customers as you can in standard emails - "have you tried clearing the cache?" sort of stuff in the hope that some small percentage will be able to work out their own fixes. And you spend part if your time training new people, and most of it dealing with insanely annoyed users. Very very gradually, you'll get things back to 'normal'. I've actually seen some refunds being acknowledged and some answers being received after a few days, so maybe - just maybe - things are getting better. Meantime - yes; send your reports to Support because that's the only way you'll get things fixed. Maybe not as quickly as you'd like, but at least the company gets stats about what is broken and what bits users hate.
  9. You could check in C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Evernote\logs\
  10. Hmmn. You're on the Notebooks page, clicking on the three-dots menu to the right? Right-clicking a notebook name in the left panel? Right-clicking a note title?
  11. Sign out and back in / restart / reinstall...? Or maybe just give it until tomorrow.
  12. Can't argue with you that deprecating the product suggests a certain disdain, but I think that was for the 20-year old code rather than the users. They did, after all, provide a shiny new v10 for everyone to move into... (OK the first year was rubbish, but even I moved over eventually...)
  13. I simply have no information about what Evernote's long term plans are, and I have no wish to inform a user that they'll be fine leaving their notes where they are, only to find they get a 1 month notice sometime soon. I'm simply saying that the OP (IMHO) is fine for at least a year - maybe longer. Evernote would not delete notes without warning, but they may decide at some stage that if an account hasn't been accessed in a while it will go to offline archival storage. Evernote can only send information to the last email address they have, so make sure your address is kept up to date!
  14. Hi. Your notes will not be deleted. Evernote haven't commented on how long that situation will continue, but I'd say you have at least a year. You'll be able to export your notes if you wish to ENEX, HTML or PDF files. Other note-taking apps will be able to import some or all of those if you wish to change provider. If you have more questions about the details of how to go about any of this, feel free to ask here.
  15. Hi - Export only works from desktops?
  16. On the positive side, I've long been an advocate of short notes because one fat finger of fate can delete everything in a long note, while with shorter ones you only lose a piece of history. Now I have a new purpose... With real-time syncing I relaxed a lot, and I've been using tables to allow me to keep rolling records of - forinstance - Amazon purchases, which I do too often. I use a two column table with some summary text in the left-hand cell and copies of relevant email files (MSG or EML) in the right. I can open these if and when necessary in my installed Outlook 2010 to get a history and/ or to forward as a reminder. (My 365 says this feature is 'coming') With Amazon - and a couple of other projects, this led me to another problem - finding the relevant line in a l-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-o-ng table. Now with collapsible sections I can have a list of 20 or so transactions including several emails each time, but just appearing as a list of single-line headings on screen. Don't know if anyone else will find that useful, but it's a little heavenly for me... 😎
  17. Thanks guys - the penny finally dropped. Sections are here!! 👍
  18. Yeah, tried that - nothing yet, apart from the four-dot 'handle' that allows you to move the line up and down. I'll do a restart later...
  19. Hi. Not a known workaround, but can you forward these emails to the Evernote account address to include them in notes? Have you tried dragging to the local desktop and from there to Evernote?
  20. OK - now I updated to 10.80.2; I lost the whole File / Edit / View toolbar to a small hamburger menu at top left, but I don't seem to have a collapse / expand option. Where should I look?
  21. Who cares if it's pretty: it works! Good solution.
  22. Hi. As we've said to the many previous other posters of this issue - not yet. Please use feedback@Evernote.com to register your concern - we're mainly users here.
