Hi. AFAIK the option is not (yet) available in Premium or the web version. Evernote tend not to share when or whether specific features will be added to the app. I'm not an iOS user, but if you can find an app that will allow you to capture lower-res images it might be easier to use that for immediate capture and add images and comments to Evernote later.

Hi. Absolutely no clue. Could be something to do with Windows messing up the link contents - as you can open the page if you access direct, have you tried copying the note URL into the spreadsheet and checking that it still works from there? If this is an important part of your tax preparation I'd suggest opening a support ticket so Evernote can help...

Hi. Have you tried uninstalling / reinstalling? There's nothing much else you can do with a mobile device. You might have also been caught by the device limits - Basic users are restricted to 2 devices, so your 'phone and laptop are it. The web app (if you have used it) also now counts as a connection, and some users have been caught out (and locked out) by having too many authorised devices... I'd guess that'll wait until they feel they can switch the pre-10 support network off but when/ if they have a general re-focus and simplify the overall product range, any 'special cases' are likely to get a close look...

Hi. I've not seen any similar reports, or experienced any issues and I also use Chrome (with Legacy Evernote). I'd suggest reinstalling the Clipper add-in to see if this continues, and raising it with Support if that happens. Evernote has logs, as does Clipper (see Settings and the Logs tab) which you could supply as background.

I tend to use Evernote web for look-ups - if you use Chrome there's a way to create a desktop shortcut to open a web app in its own Chrome Window (regardless of whatever other browser you might have active). The shortcut will also retain your login details - good if you open the app several times in one day, bad if anyone else has access to your device! Desktop Shortcut to run a web app You need an active Chrome tab where you're logged into Evernote (or any other app). Go to the Three dots menu and choose 'more tools', then 'create shortcut' and tick Open As A Window. You should get a shortcut on your desktop which will open Evernote (or..) in a minimal window. Any relevant extensions will still be available.

Hi. If you were able to do this until recently using version 10, I'd suggest reporting this matter to Support with some example URLs of pages that exhibit this behaviour when clipped. You'll be aware that while some while pages show images when viewed, they're actually held on another website and linked in to the page, or otherwise secured against being copied; and some web pages use image types that are not currently compatible with Evernote. So it is possible that some web pages just can't be clipped, although you will always be able to obtain a screen shot if necessary.

Hi. These 5 devices are presumably on a network rather than being separately connected to the internet. What sort of network control do you have and does it include a firewall? Can you use a browser on one of these machines to sign in via Evernote.com?

That is what you get as the official "Legacy" version - engineered (I assume) to co-exist with version 10 so you can use it for everyday, while also keeping an eye on how the upgrades to 10.x are going. AFAIK it shouldn't offer to 'update'. The 6.25.1 link I posted was the last public release before the new version rolled out. It's where I'm staying for the moment. I need Import Folders - which aren't back yet, and Local (unsynced) Notebooks - which Evernote is so far saying won't be back - before I can update further. (I do have a prospect for local notebooks - just a flat file database that I can link to from Evernote!) When things have settled down a bit I'll update to EN10, but from experience I know I find it hard dealing with two different menu layouts; muscle memory says do this and then my brain kicks in a second later and thinks "Err...maybe not". If what you're trying to do is cut and paste, or edit and tag... the repeated extra mistakes add time and frustration. I only want to change between menu systems once. 😒

If you keep on getting reminders for payment I suggest you contact Support - something similar happened to me and they had to reset the payment system on my account because it got overly nervous after my card expired. I'm still working off the last public Evernote for Windows - 6.25.1 - and have disabled updates via Tools > Options > General. Sorry but I don't believe Evernote would give you that specific (and direct) an answer. You may have misunderstood exactly what was said - what was the question, and the message you received?

This is a (mainly) user-supported forum - so we didn't do nothin' You may have noticed that this new app has fixed fonts, fixed sizes, limited exports... it's temporarily limited across a while range of things which (as of the most recent versions) are being gradually rolled back. Options will be included. Please post a link to this exchange, because it's simply not correct. At least (I would hope) until the features in v10 are the equal of those provided in previous versions, because I also am continuing to use the legacy version. Entirely your choice.

Whilst you're contemplating, you could try the 'nuclear option' which is to completely uninstall and reinstall Evernote. The 6.25 version is still available if you know where to look... http://cdn1.evernote.com/win6/public/Evernote_6.25.1.9091.exe If you do that, your online notes will be downloaded from the server, but obviously the offline ones are purely on your computer. If you haven't already done so I'd recommend that you get a notebook-by-notebook backup copy of all your notes (online and offline) anyway by exporting to ENEX.
