  1. Hi. Does "not being unencrypted" mean you get an 'invalid password' rejection, another error message, or the password box just sits there? Have you tried all possible options? The web version in more than one browser plus mobile / pc apps? Does initial encryption work as expected? More detail please.
  2. OK - I sit corrected; never had the need for multi-language checking, so wasn't aware it was a thing. If you're missing the facility though I'd recommend submitting a support ticket to make sure Evernote is aware of the need. Given everything they've done to the app over the last 12 months, and what still remains to be done, this may not be planned anytime soon, if at all. At 40-odd votes so far it's not one of the most pressing feature requests outstanding, and most of the much bigger ones haven't been addressed yet... Of course there is always my suggestion above - use any word processor that has the feature you need, and add the file to your note as an attachment....
  3. New plans apply now. You may have been automatically transferred over if you were an existing subscriber.
  4. Hi. You're posting in an Evernote Teams forum (formerly known as Evernote Business) - and from the sound of it you're using a Windows Legacy app. I have no clue why you'd need to import a complete ENEX file to recover one note, or why it would be an issue to delete any extra notes, since the import should have placed all the newly created records into one or more separate notebooks. If you deleted close on 3.5K notes however, they may still be in your Trash notebook - so you may want to clear that out. Fewer notes may improve your load times. If you still have to log in each time you start the app, I can only suggest that you make sure you're synced up to date and then File > Exit the app, uninstall, restart your system, and re-install - allowing Evernote to rebuild your account from the server. I've no idea what setting you may have altered to change the behaviour.
  5. Sounds like a deal may be in the making somewhere... I hope it's true; I'd really have trouble replacing the app with anything like a comparable service!
  6. Sorry - late to the party, and I missed my cue earlier... If you find an EXB file on your laptop hard drive, that's Evernote's database in the legacy version, but it's not restorable onto the web version. You'd need to download and install Evernote Legacy onto a new computer, then find the Databases folder and your new 'empty' EXB file and replace it with the old one. That would jumpstart your 'new' account with copies of all the old notes. However. Any notes that were altered, deleted or corrupted after the EXB file was last synced will then be changed when the account next syncs - so keep an original copy of your old EXB file somewhere, because there is more you can do with it to recover old notes if necessary. Again with a new Legacy install you could import notes from the EXB file rather than try to use them as new. The notes will all go into a single new notebook, but at least you can search that and get content back. And - before you go down this route as all, just give your iPhone an hour or two to catch up. I've been noticing that on my Legacy account, when I use Evernote a device that hasn't been synced in a while, I'll be missing the latest notes for a while - 10-30 minutes - before the newish notes from the last few days start to pop up.
  7. I have several apps connected to Google Calendar and I had that warning for every. Single. One.
  8. Hi. Advice would be: explain what device, OS and Evernote version you're using, and we might be able to suggest a work around...
  9. Hi. I don't especially know why Evernote would print cells as a list rather than a grid (if that's what is happening) but the easy fix is to use any word processor that supports tables and attach the wp file to your note. Print the note using the word processor features, and you'll see exactly what you expect to see. Evernote note content is not very flexible when it comes to layout or style.
  10. ...If in doubt, try a DM to @Shane D. (hover over that link and pick 'message' from the pop-up menu) - he's been away for a few days, so may not get back to you immediately.

  12. Whilst Evernote lacks a multi-language spellcheck feature, it should (as I understand it) follow the language settings on the device. If you need to spell check in more than the device base language, the work-around is the same as for any specialised layout feature - just use an external word-processor set to the additional language and save the working file as an attachment to a note.
  13. Hi. Weirdly you need Android 10 to get Evernote 10. One easy way to get back to the last pre-10 features is to use an old phone or tablet that still runs an older Android. Appreciated that very few people like to carry two phones around. Just sayin'.
  14. Hi. There are 2 answers to your question (again) Backupery and CloudHQ* - both offer paid-for solutions to the backups issue. I use 6.25 and Backupery to place my backup ENEX files (1 per notebook) onto an external hard drive. BU runs automatically each day to do a full backup of my database. It will likewise restore one or more notebooks if and when I need it to do so. It would not restore stacks, but I can live with that. (Workaround - add a stack tag to every note in every notebook in that stack and build them back if necessary.) CloudHQ allegedly works in the same sort of way, but I have no details and no experience. (sometimes I suck at math) There are also a couple of other possibilities... Simply take a daily backup of your entire databases folder. To restore your account, download and install Evernote as new and replace the 'blank' databases folder with your original version. Some tech skills required, but that's a Windows backup level task Somewhere in the forums, someone used scripting to automate the single notebook to ENEX process - like a manual Backupery; requires good scripting skills and some work to enable. * https://blog.cloudhq.net/how-and-why-you-should-backup-evernote/ Good Luck!

  16. Try saving your screenshot(s) to your desktop first, then drag and drop them into a note?
  17. Hmmn. So what app or process are you using to capture the screenshot? Using the Windows 10 Clipper I just added a screenshot of one app into a new note in Evernote Web - and that was using the new editor. Copy and paste should not be a problem.
  18. Yeesh. Not sure I'm ecstatic to see more bells and whistles pasted onto an already s-l-o-w app. The first thing a calendar add-in would need is speed - if I'm allocating priorities and tasks I don't want to have to wait for any length of time to be able to allocate or change a time slot, or move on to the next entry. And my Evernote entries either need to be as flexible as the connected calendar will be in terms of time / duration / repeatability*, or the Evernote record needs to use the Calendar entry as a trigger for reminders. The two entries should be synced, so changes to either one will change the other; and print options should include calendar views so I can have a hard copy of my day / week / month commitments to carry around. My use case is that tasks are either personal or delegated to others, and involve an open-ended operation to achieve a specific objective within a reasonable time scale, or will include deadlines for meetings / stages / completion. Either way blocks of time need to be allocated for various activities, with alerts available for some or all of them. My current calendar of choice is Google which pretty much covers all of the date-related parts of that and more. Ideally I would be able to drive Google entries without ever needing to open the calendar view at all... * daily/weekly/monthly/ every x days / months / years etc
  19. Hi. This is a mainly user 2 user forum and we have no way to engineer a fix. Best advice - contact Support... but while they investigate and try to resolve the issue you have the choice of using a word processing app (there are many free options out there) or continuing to work through duplications as and when they occur. Agreed that's not ideal, but which activity takes more effort?
  20. Hi. You're posting in the Teams (formerly known as Business) forum, about (AFAICS) the new Web version, not behaving in the same way as the 'old' version. If that's correct you should be able to revert to a previous editor by looking at the bottom right of the note screen. That will tell you what version you're using and allow you to step back. If that still doesn't satisfy your query, it would help to know what device, OS and Evernote version you're actually using...
  21. Not sure I follow the discussion here, but I can select some text in a web page, click the Clipper icon and see...
  22. Hi. There have been quite a few discussions in the Forums - a general internet search for "alternatives to Evernote" and similar phrases should get you anything relevant. How to handle it depends rather on how many notes you have and what device(s) and OS you're actually using, and whether you simply need a document store or a fully searchable data library. Don't give up hope though - you could always switch back to the Legacy (old) version of Evernote on Desktop, and Support might be able to fix any issues you have with v10.
  23. Have you contacted Support? Evernote (like most big software companies) famously do not share whether or when they'll be releasing any specific feature. The deal is: work with what you have, or find another provider. AFAIK this is the only thread on this issue with (so far) about 6 users involved If all you're looking for is storage, Google should be fine. Good luck with that.
  24. The fact that you're shouting loudly at Evernote doesn't mean the information gets through without dropouts or interference. Your connection is one of a sizeable slice of a 200M crowd - all of whom are syncing intermittently 24/7. Using a word processor and attaching files will work to avoid any duplications for the moment - best advice is probably to contact Support if the issue continues.
