  1. Hi. No. If there's a way to convert these files (or re-export them) into HTML or a conventional document format you would be able to move them across.
  2. Hi. There's no shortage of automation tools, but you'd have to do some research to see which are capable of the setup you require... Various apps will connect Evernote with other services and vice-versa, so that it's possible to generate a note as a record of a diary entry or a 'to-do' item, or to start a note in Evernote that will prompt a diary entry or an email to another service. Including, but not limited to (and in no particular order)... Actiondesk / API Fuse / Chronify / CloudHQ / Filterize / Huginn / IFTTT / Integromat / LeadsBridge / Microsoft Flow / Piesync / Workato / Zapier https://automate.io/ https://www.cloudhq.net/g_suite http://Elastic.io https://exalate.com/ https://integrately.com/ https://www.integromat.com/en https://www.jotform.com/ https://n8n.io/ https://parabola.io/ Other services like Airtable offer a 'relational database' approach and provide forms that can assist data entry and generate an Evernote note as a record of a meeting or action.
  3. Hi. Sympathies with the situation, but AFAIK the only two options are: Subscribe so the device limit goes away... (and the 50% discount on Personal just came back); or Start another free account - you'll need a different email address - and use that until your revoke block ends.
  4. Hi. I'm not a Mac user, but there are a couple of options you could look at. Install the Legacy app (if you haven't already), which runs alongside V10 and uses the same server database, but does not have the 50-note limit on selections. You should be able to select all the notes in one notebook and move them to another. Do beware that re-sorting the indexes and updating displays is going to be pretty intensive for a while - make sure you leave some downtime for housekeeping after making the changes. Other devices may not catch up very quickly either - the server needs to get this work done and sync new details out to any connected items. While you can select all notes in one notebook in v10 from the Notebooks page, this may be solely for an export to ENEX files. You could export your notes into separate files per notebook and then re-import them into a single notebook. You may be able to move notebooks instead once you've made the selection - see the export page below. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Export notes and notebooks as ENEX or HTML
  5. Device? OS? Evernote Version? (Web or installed app?)
  6. That des not appear to be the case for any other user at present. You might want to uninstall / restart your system / reinstall and ensure that you sign in with the correct credentials to gain access to your existing notes to check whether some download glitch didn't corrupt your local installation.
  7. Hi. You're posting in Teams, which is Evernote's business product. I'm going to take a wild guess that you're not actually using that version - so what's your device / OS / Evernote version? And why are you on VM?
  8. Hi. Any idea what version you upgraded from? If it was Evernote v10.2x, you would have already gone through about 20 silent updates to get to this point. AFAIK background updating is a 'feature, not a bug' because each one adds value to the previous generation and kills existing bugs. If you came from the previous public version for your OS, you can get back to the desktop version here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote Checking for updates is via Tools > Options in the older versions and it's your choice whether or not the app checks on startup. There are various po-ups though offering new benefits, and if you chose one without reading it carefully you may have requested this update voluntarily. AFAIK the only way to avoid updates is to disable the check in a Legacy account. v10 doesn't (yet) have that option.
  9. @PinkElephant already gave you more than most of us would have been able to. This is a (mostly) user-supported Forum. If in doubt, ask Support, or use the free version and experiment for yourself...
  10. It takes a while to load, but shouldn't be more than a minute or two... Do you have a good Internet connection? Any proxies, firewalls or AV to get in the way? Report to Support if you're unable to get access.
  11. Regardless of the logic there are some practical considerations... How much would it cost to add a preference option; recode the tray icon to include & activate it; then quality check the update and release it to all users?? I'm guessing "lots". How many votes / how much support does this request have? This thread has 1 vote so far... Will it improve retention? Not noticeably Help gain new business? Not likely... Likelihood of the overall change helping improve cashflow? Negligable...
  12. Hi. What device are you using / what OS / and which version of Evernote? Have you tried uninstalling Evernote / restarting your computer (power off and then back on) / reinstalling Evernote?
  13. Hi. Are there existing Forum posts on this? It would make sense to add your voice there, or to contact Support direct rather post in isolation here. Has someone spoken to them? The devs don't typically respond to Forum comment - you do get personal responses to Support requests Not sure there can be any for this issue, other than to use the Web app as you already are. It is much closer to the installed clients in v10 than previously, but there are still differences.
  14. Hi. You can't. It's unclear when or whether this will change... although you can, of course, embed word-processed files with full document styling and page layout if you wish.
  15. Hi all - anyone tried 1) using the native Evernote camera app or 2) raising this with Support? AFAIK Scannable hasn't been updated in ages, and given Evernote's total focus on v10 features these days I'd doubt it will in future. If Scannable or the Evernote Camera feature are no longer viable, there are other apps online that have some nice document scanning options, notably (pun intended) from Adobe and MS Office.
  16. Hi. I've written something on this in the forums before. I basically disagree with changing the created date or the updated date of notes because they're system-assigned variables that require quite a bit of clicking and tapping (if you're doing the operation frequently) to change; you almost certainly won't be able to do it consistently on all notes, and you can't (yet) script anything to help across all versions. I use an international standard date as a prefix to my note title in YYYYMMDD format because when I sort any search results in title order, that provides an accurate timeline. I can even have some assistance from Filterize, which is an app that can recognise various date formats in the body of notes, and - if necessary - add title prefixes automatically. Filterize is an online service that is still compatible with Evernote's servers so should continue to be available through further generations of the app. I also have notes going back a long way - the earliest document is in the 1700's (I do genealogy) - but have no trouble with dates. I use several versions of Evernote but haven't found any issues yet...
  17. If you didn't get a ticket number, you aren't using the right links...
  18. It's an app that's available to 200M+ customers 365/24/7. There's no such thing as a 'small' change. Have you tried raising this with Support? If you do, please confirm Device/ OS version/ EN version as part of the process.
  19. ...And the same comments apply really - notes, which are effectively just web pages, load a lot faster without the odd 2MB attachment, and if you're browsing on someone else's device, the less local clutter you have, the better. Use the installed app instead, where notes and attachments (??) are still (at least temporarily) saved locally. I don't actually know definitely whether attachments are still part of the local cache - one option, if that turns out not to be the case, could be cloud storage. Some providers allow media files to be played from storage so a link to a cloud file would play much faster than a download-and-play option.
  20. In 6.25, definitely not. v10 not sure, but I'd be surprised if it were different. There is a way to separate the notes through - just add a tag to all notes in each notebook (again, that's currently easier in Legacy than v10 because of the 50 note limit). When you need to restore the notes, search by that tag and move all notes to a new notebook. Edit: written some time ago but I forgot to hit 'post' until now... Doh!
  21. Ah. I didn't know whether that would be the case in Business/ Teams since there's the 'shared' access to Library notesbooks, but I guess it makes sense. Don't know how various other providers (like Google) allow multiple access to the same document for editing - if that's actually what they do; clearly if changes are being made by more than one person, there's a good chance that the changes made by one will ruin (or restore) changes made by another... Everyone needs their own access to make and save changes, then the next person can get involved, and the next...
  22. I/we should be exporting individual Notebooks to retain the notebook<>Note relationships and tags ? Yes. You always had to. "Export all notes" from 6.25 does exactly that. It retains tags, but not notebook connections. If so will this also retain NESTED 'Stack' notebook structure ? Nope. Never has Not relying on Export 'All Notes' even using legacy versions (which i assume is anything pre v10) because a restore would just be a single folder full of Notebooks and notes? When you restore an ENEX file it goes to a separate notebook (a local 'offline' notebook in Legacy) from which you can choose individual notes to replace existing corrupted copies, or create new notebooks. There's lots more here: Export notes and notebooks as ENEX or HTML and How does Evernote use my personal information and data?
  23. <Sigh> It has never been possible to export all notes and tags, and for the reasons already stated several times above, doing so would be an extremely bad idea. I'm happily sitting on a year's worth of full ENEX backups of my account (by individual notebook) which are ready to re-import to Evernote or any competitor offering that option, plus a few 'contingency' copies of my EXB file on a similar basis. In the highly unlikely event Google ever succumbs to a ransomware attack (or we get invaded by Aliens) I'll be ready - but I suspect the internet will be totally borked by that point; if anything can get by their security (which also protects Evernote) there's likely no help for anyone or anything electronic.
  24. Can you provide some examples of content that won't copy/ paste? I don't know whether this made it into v10 yet, but you could always try sending notes by email, or (subject to content) share them publicly and send the URL of the page... or (now that I think of it) print to PDF and send the file...?
  25. I'm not a Mac user, but it seems logical that the system settings override the individual note settings. To find ways around that you'd need to talk to Support... These Forums are mainly user 2 user - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client).
