  1. In the past, when I clicked the global hotkey to create a new note in Evernote it started a new note and the Window of the new note got focused. At the moment, when I create the global hotkey it just create a new window but it doesn't focus it. I recently installed the Windows Creator Update and had to reinstall my computer because Microsoft is incompetent at creating an update flow that doesn't break my computer. I don't know whether the reinstallation of my computer changed some setting, whether the Windows Creators update changed how it handles focus or whether an update to Evernote is to blame. Is there something I can do that Windows again focuses the window of a new Evernote note when I press the global hotkey?

  3. I created a new voice note via the evernote widget. I stopped the recording and I switched to another App. Afterwards I want to create a snapshot note. Unfortunately, clicking on the new snapshot icon doesn't bring up a snapshot note but again the previous voice note. For fast note taking, it would be great if clicking on the "new snapshot note" icon in the Evernote widget would always create a new note. If it's not via default single click, maybe double click? Both voice notes and sktretch notes seem to have the ability to always start a new note even if the previous note that was created wasn't explicitly saved. It would be great to have the same for snapshot notes (and also text notes).
  4. I want to create snapshot notes simply be putting a specific finger on the fingerprint sensor to start the phone. Currently, it works when there's no open note within Evernote. I simply created a new app that sends an Evernote intent for a snapshot note. This makes taking new notes really fast and I like it. Unfortunately, when there's an unsaved SnapShot note open this intent opens the existing note instead of starting a new one. Ideally, I would like to send an intent or other API call that tells Evernote to save the existing note, so that I can start a new one. I started an StackOverflow question (https://stackoverflow.com/q/45644540/25282) and got the answer that this isn't possible via intents. Is there another way to do this via Evernotes API? I also would like to do the same for standard text notes.
  5. I have chosen plants that fortunately only need to be watered once a month. I would like to have a recurring task in Evernote to do this. How do I set up a recurring task?
  6. I'm not talking about this forum specifically. I'm caring about every post I write somewhere. Everything that I spent time on writing is worthy of being recorded in a achive notebook. I think the Evernote browser plugin should be able to do this.
  7. Tag Synonyms

In what sense can deleting an empty tag not by undone? I can simply create a new tag with the same name. In what sense is that different than undoing the deletion?
  8. Tag Synonyms

When it comes to errors like that it's interesting to note that even if you remove the wrongly typed tag on the new card the tag still exists in the left panel. It has to be manually deleted.
  9. Tag Synonyms

I have too many tags. I have an tag called `post-idea` and a tag called `post-ideas`. Both tags point to the same concept. Yet I can't tell Evernote that they are the same. The StackExchange network has a feature called tag synonyms. If the community on StackExchange declares that `post-ideas` is a synonym for `post-idea` ever time someone adds `post-ideas` as a tag for a post it would be automatically converted into `post-idea`. I'm lazy when it comes to typing tags. I want to type abbreviation on names for tag. In this case I would like to simply type `pi` for `post-idea`. Workflowy is nice to work with because it allows abbreviations. Wouldn't this make the UI more complex? I don't think so. Hide it behind the context menu of rightclicking on tags. That context menu has few entries at the moment.
  10. I use Firefox. When I write a post that I consider valuable I often use Evernote webclipper to achieve it. That takes manual effort. I would like automatic achieving of everything I write online besides Passwords/Logins to be saved in an Evernote notebook (not my main notebook). Given that I sometimes lose posts I write online when Firefox crashes it would especially be useful for Evernote to also save drafts of posts I write. Is there a third-party service that would help with my desire? Otherwise I think it would be valuable for Evernote to integrate it because being the digital brain is Evernote's core function and lots of people would find it useful. It could also be a good Evernote Plus feature. Once the feature is build, there could be an additional feature that alerts me within Evernote when a post I wrote good a reply. Of course only for those forum well-structured to allow an automated spidering that sees whether a reply was made.
  11. These days phones have sensors to determine location and acceleration. I would like Evernote to automatically tag notes that I make while driving in a car or in public transportation with a specific "on-the-go" tag. It would also be helpful if the Atlas feature would support automatic tagging for a location. When clicking on a flag in the Atlas view, there could be a field to add a tag. It would tag all existing notes in that flag with the tag and also automatically tag new notes with the tag. As far as the desktop version goes I would appreciate to have an option to tell it that whenever I'm logged into a certain WLan I'm at a specific location.
