  2. I'm always conscious that any data leaving my keyboards or scanners might be seen by others, but I have several levels of security starting with keeping (a very small number of) unscanned paper documents for some purposes, locally stored PDFs for others, and Evernote-level content for general research, everyday correspondence and user guides / receipts and other nonsense. Filterize satisfied me that they don't 'see' the content of my notes - data syncing with my account gets 'sniffed' by their system for the conditions I specify, and where such notes are found, they get adjusted to my requirements. Given that - with scans plus new and edited notes - they can deal with a few hundred actions per day on my behalf, and the service saves me hours of activity, I judge that for me, the benefits far outweigh any risk. I've never had any suspicions that anything has leaked so far. That's an equation that you have to balance for yourself though - you should do some due diligence on their website and any reviews you can find!
  3. Hi. You're adding to a 4 year old thread, so there wouldn't seem to be a great deal of demand for this service (although I'll allow I've seen other posts on this more recently...) and Evernote already has several methods to convert content to PDF - plus this forum already has rules about self promotion & spam. However I see that Bitrecover has other products and a commercial website so I'll refrain from zapping your post. [Not trying to be condescending here - just letting other moderators know not to nuke it either...😉]
  4. Recent news stories show that AI output can contain factual errors, and that in some cases the output is a copy of real-world content (which also applied to images) so if you generate some text you need to fact-check it, and also make sure your copyright insurance is up to date. Noam Chomsky doesn't seem to be a fan either... Noam Chomsky on ChatGPT: It's "Basically High-Tech Plagiarism" and "a Way of Avoiding Learning" | Open Culture
  5. Thanks for that - just a note for Edge users (my current browser-of-choice) - if you go to 'extensions' in Edge and update, you'll get Clipper 7.29 as the latest option. However Edge shows my extensions as coming from "the Microsoft Edge Add-on Store" and has recently added an option: "Can't find what you're looking for? You can also get extensions from the Chrome Web Store." and if you search for Clipper there, you'll find 7.30.2 <sigh>. I removed 7.29 and 'added' 7.30 to update.
  6. Hi. As someone who's still on 7.29, how did you 'force' an update? (Asking for a friend...)
  7. Hi. That's Windows 101. If your disk crash killed your original icon, just create another one. There are several ways to get to Evernote (or any other installed app) via the Start menu. When you see a link to Evernote.exe, right click it and choose 'create shortcut'. You could use File Explorer to find the executable file Or you could uninstall your current Evernote app, then download and install the latest version from Evernote.com Internet searches for your device and Windows version will give you more detailed instructions if necessary...
  8. Hi. You could set up a saved search for tasks and add date parameters to it?
  9. I'd imagine if you trash a task, it's gone completely. Check Settings > Preferences > Tasks to find where the default task storage is, and maybe check Note History in that note to see older versions?? If you had a task in a specific note, try History there. Otherwise - ask Support!
  10. But isn't that AI stuff just bland nonsense? The Forums are surely about collecting reactions from real life users about their suggestions for and reaction to changes, and offering "helpful" (for varying definitions of that word) suggestions to make sure that they get support from Evernote when it is available, plus pointing out alternative solutions and suggesting work-arounds in the meantime because Evernote is never going issue an update within a short time of receiving feedback unless it relates to a genuine bug. But all of this involves real human experience. I've seen suggestions that AI can help support teams by responding to queries as an intelligent database, but that can only go so far with a constantly evolving product like Evernote. It's not helpful to anything to have an irrelevant, meaningless comment posted in a months-old discussion thread.
  11. Hi. Evernote gets thousands of requests to add / change features on a daily basis. I would hope that they're smart enough to implement the most requested (and cost-effective) updates for the resources they have. If requests for handwriting OCR are not urgent and important (and your post is the first in this thread for 5 months), it will naturally have a low priority. To be clear Evernote does OCR handwritten text for searches - but because of the 'matrix' methods it uses to construct meaning from the text, it cannot provide a separate downloadable document. If that's what you need, any number of tablets and notation systems can provide it for you...
  12. Hi. I save emails from Gmail with the Gmail clipper, which comes from the "Google Workspace Marketplace" (in Windows). Options there include saving previous emails in a thread, and any available attachments. There's more here.... How to use Evernote for Gmail – Evernote Help & Learning
  13. I'm just evil and suspicious - I have deleted a couple of these posts on the basis they're irrelevant and do not contribute anything to an ongoing discussion, and I tend to follow the profiles of those that survive so I'm notified if they post again. Repeat offenders could be terminated with extreme prejudice.
  14. Final suggestion - since you can attach an Excel file to a note, could you simply keep one note open in its own window so you can open the attached Excel file and add/ change task details?
  15. Hmmn. Sorry for that - I don't think the account type affects whether or not it will run on your phone. If you're a subscriber I'd suggest you contact Support on the Mac; I'm not an Apple user, but a colleague or two should be along in a little while and may have some better ideas...
  16. Hi. Two options. You can create several Import Folders, all pointing to different notebooks and just drop the file into the correct notebook - Create import folders – Evernote Help & Learning Or you could use Filterize which can use a 'table' of keywords, tags and notebook names to take any note dropped into your default notebook, and tag title and assign to a specific notebook. (Which sounds a lot like what you're doing). There is a 'free' level in Filterize (IIRC) but I subscribe to get more options. Edit: forgot one - you could also create some template notes for your desktop, pop up the correct note for your file and just attach the bare file and save.
  17. There's no task-level date (yet) but the note will have a reminder date that can be set.
  18. Hi. As I understand it, all Tasks are note based; so you should be able to create a new note, add one or more tasks as required, and assign that note to whatever notebook you wish. Here's more - Tasks Overview – Evernote Help & Learning
  19. Hi. Try this: Switch between multiple accounts in Evernote – Evernote Help & Learning - I was impressed that they now open in separate windows. I haven't moved information between them though - please let me know if it still works!
  20. Hi. Usual fix - make sure notes are synced from the iOS app; uninstall / restart / reinstall.
  21. Hi. Basically, no. Subscribers can create and save Templates with specific font settings if that helps..
  22. Hi. What version of Android are you running and why do you need the APK? Depending on your Android version you may be able to download the correct version from the Play store, or sideload an APK from a third-party site on the internet like this one - Evernote - Note Organizer 8.13.3 APK Download by Evernote Corporation - APKMirror
  23. Glad it was resolved! Hopefully everyone is back to business as usual - maybe if someone raised this with Support they will know more about the cause...
  24. Hi. It's 4 years later, there are new versions of Evernote and Outlook, and you're raising a Windows query in a Mac thread. Things have moved on a bit... I use Evernote Legacy on my Windows laptop, which also has Outlook and the Email Clipper extension. I also use a Win 11 desktop and Outlook 365, where this (I think) is the relevant help page - How to use Evernote for Outlook – Evernote Help & Learning
  25. Hi. Can you confirm your OS details and Evernote version? Please let us know exactly what happens when you try to copy and paste an image between notes.
