Hi. What are your operating system and Evernote versions, and are you a subscriber?

Hi. Your problems began with "recently" - Evernote support has been slow to respond for several weeks now, so will likely get around to your query in a while. The Forums here are mainly supported by other users like me, so have no input on any discounts. Apart from Evernote Teams - which is a business account for multiple users and is charged by 'seat', Evernote AFAIK doesn't have a bulk purchase option.

Trouble with Returning to Evernote
gazumped replied to beachloverlarry's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. Exactly how do you 'toggle' away and back? What keystrokes? And in what version of MacOS? -
Evernote for Android 10.66 here too, on a Samsung Tab S7 FE. Evernote and Samsung have had their moments in the past couple of years, but so far this version now finds things when I search for them, though the 'recent searches' list is usually not actually recent... I work mainly on desktop, but haven't noticed any show-stoppers on the tablet yet...

Well "my gracious" (or words to that effect) - thanks @Paddytc for the tip! In my case the Evernote standard Alt-Ctrl-S to capture a screen gives me something that looks like the Windows snipping tool - but it shows a message that I need to use Shift-Win-S to start a Windows clip. (It's possible to edit or disable the shortcut) Previously I've been lazy and defaulted using to the Windows version which captured the screen area I wanted and from where I could paste or save to a note or file as necessary. However if I use Alt-Ctrl-S and - as posted above - click New, draw my outline, and hit 'x', the clipped image is in a new note! Outstanding!! My first new Evernote trick this year. EDIT: Sorry - should have said - Evernote 10.72.2 and Win 11

If you expect Evernote to do the OCR for you, then the text layer is stored as a separate item and is not accessible for a user. If you do your own OCR when scanning - and there's free software to do that for you too - you create a 'searchable' PDF file where it's possible to select and copy/ paste some or all of the text. Or you could simply save PDFs to a disk folder and use one of those other free utilities I mentioned to batch OCR several files.

How to change ownership of a shared Notebook?
gazumped replied to TLGatsby's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. I can't think of many ways to transfer notes - the easiest would be to export the notes from your account to ENEX files (one per notebook) and email them to the person to whom you want to gift the notebook. Subject to their account status and system limits they would then be able to import the notes into their own account. -
Evernote add-in for Outlook 365
gazumped replied to Roberto Gimenes's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. Tried reinstalling? https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/marketplace/ -
Hi. Depending on the size of your notes you may be able to export them to ENEX, then delete the additional notebook and re-import them to your current default notebook - but beware the note size and upload limits. You could try asking Support for assistance - or you could upgrade for a month or so until you have this sorted out, then revert to free... Evernote doesn't start with Windows 10.
gazumped replied to Roger Lin's topic in Evernote General Discussions
Hi. Please don't hijack posts on different issues. Please start your own query in the Windows area of the forums. Knowing your Evernote version number and having more detail would also help - was the scanner working directly with Evernote before? On a different device? Have you tried scanning to a folder and using an Import folder to move files into Evernote? -
Images not loading, I'm so upset!!
gazumped replied to Jam108's topic in Evernote for Mac Issues (Versions 10.0 and above)
Hi. Your answer depends on your device, OS and Evernote version, plus the source of your image and the size and format (JPG / PNG etc) of your picture. Please gice us more information. By the way we're mostly other users here - if you want a refund please contact Support. -
IMHO Evernote is simply making sure that all the former freebies and concession prices go out the window because that way lies madness. They're doing some solid work to re-establish Evernote's speed and reliability, and to wean users out of their attachment to Legacy. Plus they just moved the whole operation to a different continent and need to get their admin in order and Support back on its feet. Until they finish dealing with all that it would be pretty dumb to start spending money developing new products which might or might not meet the expectations of users who have 'free' options available. They already announced plans to be more ambitious this year - see https://evernote.com/blog - and I'm looking forward to how things develop. I'm sorry that many (formerly) loyal users aren't able to deal with the new subscriptions, but that's how software works. If you like it and can afford it, you buy; if you can't afford it or don't think it's worth the cost, you don't buy - and hopefully you find something else that you can use.

Hi. So create and format your ideal note(s) and keep it/ them in a Templates notebook and copy/ duplicate as necessary to create clones. Or export to one or more ENEX files and paste to your PC desktop - double click a file to create a new note with that content. You could probably McGyver one or other of the automation systems from AHK to Zapier to give you more flexibility and even include user or system input for variables like dates as well as any typed content. All of the above is available now, while Evernote would not be able to develop something for months or years...

Hmmn. So the more you give away for free, the more money you don't make? -
