  1. Unless they discover that many like it. We shall see.
  2. Maybe, but I think more likely probably not. They kept it on the iPad. If they were going to pull it, I think they would have done it now.
  3. Look for user @AlbertR. There is a link in his tag line. Also look for user @ferol. He also has a list posted.
  4. Please Google Evernote alternatives. There is already plenty of information on the forums and elsewhere. We don’t need to repeat the discussions here.
  5. We are many only other users here. It is best to send your suggestion to feedback@evernote.com.
  6. Be patient. It will take a while for a database that size to fully download and stabilize.
  7. I have 50,000 “files” and it takes several seconds (too long) to open, but it does open. It does sound like you have a database issue. I would.
  8. It may only be for new subscribers. I ran into that last fall during my renew period.
  9. A couple of users have created their own list of things that are missing from legacy in the hope that Evernote may add some back in, but there is no official list that we are aware of.
  10. I would suggest approaching v10 as the completely new app that it is. It was a ground up rewrite, not a modified new version. Many new things added, some similar and some no longer there. It is best to poke around and discover things like you would with any new app and let us know if you have any specific questions.
  11. I wonder if this is more affecting those that migrated to v10 after RTE was implemented, than those that migrated earlier? Just speculating …
  12. It is still there, but now two taps away. Tap the settings icon in the upper left and then My Widgets to get back to your old Home Screen.
  13. Personally, I don’t get the one notebook limit for free. If free is meant to be a test drive, you can’t experience stacks with one notebook. Keeping the device limit to two also seems unnecessarily restrictive now as well.
  14. No need for another thread on this, just Google Evernote alternatives and you will be reading all night. The short answer is that there is no one solution that is best for everyone. Depends on what you need and desire.
  15. There are two separate issues, full page task view and tasks tick box on the calendar. I was commenting that I do have full page task view working, but I also do not have the tasks tick box working yet.
  16. I think the need is random and database dependent. I’ve had to fully uninstall and reinstall the desktop only once in recent memory but on mobile several times. It almost seems to be a roll of the dice with each update and with the current frequency of updates the odds get higher.
  17. I’m not sure I would agree that they would be withholding value by not releasing it. I notice that in the pic they have 141 files. They should have an account like mine as one of the test beds. I have over 50,000. Many of those are web clipping junk that I wish were automatically filtered out. I can filter those out by clicking on the doc tab, but I have to wait for the all tab to fill first before switching to the other tab. Also you can only act on one file at a time. I’m not seeing the value at the moment.
  18. Full task view is working for me as well on the Mac.
  19. Options are always good. I don’t see a setting currently so it might be good to provide comment to feedback@evernote.com.
  20. I don't think the feature is fully implemented or rolled out yet. I have the options too but they are currently not doing anything.
  21. You’re pretty passionate about a single click, but ok. If you don’t close the app it will open where you left off. Didn’t the earlier version open to the Home Screen where you then needed to click to get to all notes? I’m not seeing the difference.
  22. I think maybe not forgotten, but instead rolling out gradually. If that is the case, they should put words to that effect in the fix list.
  23. For better or for worse I think the rate hike is due to it being, arguably, underpriced for several years, but also that it is being positioned as a premium app. They don’t appear to want to compete in the low end market. We all have to go through the decision on whether it is worth it to us or not. There are several low cost or even free apps out there that may fit your use case better. Personally, I struggled with the increased cost as well but decided to sign up for another year to see what develops. I’m feeling better about the decision now that several long overdue features that I have wanted are being added. I’ll feel great about the decision when they start tackling the bugs better and get their support system under control.
  24. I now have the new mobile screen and ... I surprisingly like it. Clipboard is back and easy access to shortcuts has been added. Those were my main complaints earlier. Notes, Shortcuts, Tasks, and Calendar are all one click away, which I'm fine with. Interestingly, files load much quicker than on the desktop app which I don't understand.
