  2. The login relies on a web authorization. Read the article I posted above, follow the advise. There is nothing support can do for you (except sending you the same article), because there is a local problem on your device or network.
  3. It is absolutely right that closing a window does not terminate the app. It follows design principles of the GUI. On Windows this concept is a bit watered down, because not every dev is following the concept. But this fact doesn’t contradict the basic idea that a app can continue to run without an active window. Just quit EN if you want to terminate the execution.

  7. Did you try to toggle the checkmark off / quit / toggle on again. If it doesn’t work, toggle off / log out / quit / login / toggle on. If this doesn’t work either toggle off / log out / quit / restart Mac / login / toggle on.
  8. It has been proven in many cases documented in this forum that with the symptoms you describe, only a FULL uninstall can fix the issue. How other software installs and uninstalls is of no relevance. Everything you mentioned has no user database, which makes a full EN uninstall special. You can use Revo, or continue with a broken install. If you load Revo from a clean source, you won’t get any additional software as bypack. Take the advise or stick with what you have.
  9. They experiment with groups of users, have done so before. I think they realize that even with the new restrictions the Free plan is used beyond the intended trial. We will see where this leads. I don’t expect the current „official“ Free plan to survive for much longer. If it doesn’t create new paying users it’s of no use, seen from the companies perspective.

  11. Where do you think dangers are more imminent: At home where the router firewall is active, or at public networks where no device can be protected by network instances ? Public networks are by far the more dangerous places, and they are one reason why device specific firewalls exist.
  12. The legacy client can’t authenticate access without the server, and so it stops. There was a sort of registry hack posted in this forum maybe in May or June this year, to make the client believe it’s already logged in, Maybe you search for it, and follow the advise.

  17. They do - the moment they tell you you have too many devices. You posted the screenshots yourself. What do you expect ? A prewarning, a warning, a serious warning, a red alert ? You have chosen to use a software that is based on a subscription for free, and this makes you the object of changes to the companies use conditions. You did not pay, you have no contract, and this exposes you to this sort of change. It is not intended you use the service longer than for a serious trial. If you intended to do so, either pay or switch to another service.
  18. I am on 10.98.3, and it’s working for me. If you can isolate the issue to the opt-key, maybe your keyboard layout somehow got compromised. I would first try a logout from EN, followed by a restart of the Mac, and then a login to EN. If this doesn’t help contact support, when asked send them an activity log with all the login steps.

  21. ctrl-opt-cmd-T works for me - which is the standard keyboard shortcut for Edit Tag. We often see functional problems with the AppStore version of the app. It is running sandboxed, which restricts interactions with the OS.
  22. On the Mac it works with one dash and the arrow tip only. On iOS it works with 3 dashes and the arrow tip. More than 3 dashes produce dashes, followed by a solid arrow which as before uses 3 dashes. Not sure if this is a EN function, or is done by the OS.
  23. Why do you post in a subforum clearly designated as „Windows Issues“ ? Windows printing is very different to printing on a Mac. When did you last install a printer driver on your Mac ? Most likely never …. This said I can’t replicate the problem. The print dialogue works fine, no matter if the note is older or just created. I assume you have installed through the AppStore ? AppStore installs are often showing problems with interactions, like sharing or printing. The reason is that they run in their own sandbox. If you want to continue with the AppStore version (there are reasons for that), I would log out, quit the app and restart the Mac. Then open and log in again. If it’s now working, fine. If not think about installing the direct install from the EN website. You need to completely uninstall the AppStore install before. Not sure if it works through the app AppCleaner, which would be my first choice for the full uninstall. If not, you need to remove the EN database manually. The database created by the direct install is located in a different directory.
  24. It’s either search in the tag area, or opening the tag hierarchy there manually. You need to tell EN which tag is meant before it can show you the nesting. That’s the minimum information needed.
