  1. At me too 10.6 latest version. Evernote goes on with announcing but not delivering. Symptomatic, since the course of leaving behind native apps.
  2. Hi, unfortunately you are one of the users (as me) which still suffer from the rendering issue in Evernote for Android. You cannot do much on your end. I would appreciate if you send a bug report via the app (as I did) from every device affected. Please refer to the thread you quoted and insist, that you are still experiencing the same issue which has been declared solved by @Shane D.. First level support otherwise only answers standard text and does not escalate this to development. Thank you. An immediate solution will be rolling back to EN 8.13.3 (and stay with it till problem is solved). There are some threads in this forum explaining the steps to do so. Stay safe.
  3. Well, I just read the latest 20 comments in android play store (german version). In 6 out of 20, users still complain about images not being shown anymore if you scroll further the impression does not change.... I have the image displaying problem on all Android devices, regardless how often I deinstall, reinstall, clear cache or what ever approach. Unless with Evernote nothing goes wrong with my systems 😉 . This has been discussed in several threads here from 10.0 in the past and until 10.6. Unfortunately for affected users, I actually see no long term solution. You can force close and reopen the app, but images than show only for a short period of time until the rendering error reoccurs. If you rely on Evernote for daily work this is no acceptable workflow. Great that you are one of the users that do not have the problem, can you share your device model and os version? Maybe this is device dependent and Evernote could finally find out what the cause for the rendering error message is when narrowing the affected devices or brands down.
  4. Hi, Images being not shown is a major issue still not resolved with 10.6 and with no roadmap from support when it will be consistent. So if you rely on this basic functionality the only way to solve the problem now is to revert manually to Evernote 8.13.3. This is the last stable (legacy) version. There is an archive link Evernote support offered to another user (see below). After a complete sync uninstall. Restart your device, deactivate automatic updates on play store (important). Last step is to manually install the apk. If you keep the old APK in your downloads you can easily try out new versions later and - if necessary - roll back again if the bugs still haven't gone. http://evernote.s3.amazonaws.com/android/google-play/com.evernote.google-play.8.13.3.1083330.allArch.6087.apk Hope this helps for your workflow.
  5. There is no legacy version. But if you can't get EN 10.6 to work you can revert manually by downloading the last stable version 8.13.3 from an archive link Evernote support offered to another user (see below). After a complete sync uninstall. Restart your device, deactivate automatic updates on play store (important). Last step is to manually install the apk. If you keep the old APK in your downloads you can easily try out new versions later and - if necessary - roll back again if the bugs still haven't gone. http://evernote.s3.amazonaws.com/android/google-play/com.evernote.google-play.8.13.3.1083330.allArch.6087.apk
  6. Oh no 🙂 Several of us reverted to 8.13.3 because of some major issues and performance decrease which stopped us from doing work with Evernote for Android. I think by the time they hopefully figure these out, there maybe will be releases for Android 6-9 as they already announced. In the meantime you do not miss a thing 😉
  7. Interesting, they removed this feature from premium feature list... directly offending customers that paid in advance for a yearly premium subscription including this feature.
  8. Images being not shown is a major issue still not resolved with 10.6 and with no roadmap from support. But: You can revert manually by downloading the last stable and performant version 8.13.3 from an archive link Evernote support offered to another user (see below).
  9. I opened a ticket for this some days ago and referred to this thread. It was acknowledged by the support staff. But they obviously do not transfer the ticket to technical dev. I cannot understand this, as so many complain about this displaying problem in the forums and in the comments on play store. It literally renders Evernote for Android useless for productive use. After some days I decided to - once again! - roll back to 8.13.3 and bingo got back Evernote to work. It is not worth the time personally invested anymore. Maybe waiting a month or two if they can figure it out...
  10. Thanks for your suggestion. I immedately tried hoping for the best...but for my devices images still not show up regularly.
  11. That is a temporary solution for me as well which works for a short time. But unfortunately every now and then the images are again not displayed.
  12. I have the same problem which was introduced with 10.0 and then claimed to be solved with 10.4 (release notes). Sometimes killing the Evernote process in Android and restarting leads to an image loading sometimes not. I did a lot of testing. For my devices (Samsung Galaxy A50 and Samsung Galaxy Tab A) it does not matter what image format is embedded or which size or where the image came from. The problem is with any of the notes. Sometimes the image show up, mostly they don't (even on the same notes). The image displaying is still inconsistent. Reading the play store comments, this is one of the major errors users report... Please all of you do support requests via the android app support button so that Evernote staff finally gets hand on this. Maybe it is solved in their virtual testing environment but obviously not with a lot of devices in the wild. The support reports include technical data of your device model, OS and so on, so they can maybe eventually figure out what is causing the problem. Fingers crossed this is solved before V11 😉
  13. You can revert manually by downloading the last stable and performant version 8.13.3 from an APK-repository. For Example https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/evernote-corporation/evernote/evernote-8-13-3-release/ After a complete sync uninstall. Restart your device, deactivate automatic updates on play store (important). Last step is to manually install the apk (I wouldn't hesitate because apk-files are signed. But it is on your own risk!). If you keep the old APK in your downloads you can easily try out new versions later and - if necessary - roll back again if the bugs still haven't gone.
  14. I can confirm with Traveller1. Using a Samsung Galaxy A50 scanning for each page is about 10 seconds, in addition focus tapping is gone...so getting things in focus is some kind of game.
  15. That's what I did, as being sad above. Fortunately they implemented a bug report functionality which makes it easy to report bugs.
  16. I eventually got 10.6 and did again try to use the new software on two Android 10 devices. I got again the major bugs which I experienced since 10 was introduced: extremly slow startup (as if every time fresh install procedure) and performance, offline not working completely. Still major bug: images often not displayed (error message instead). Audio records are muted (silence) when screen is off... and so on...I opened again support tickets on every error I found. Since I have to rely on the images being displayed when I need my notes, I again had to roll back all my devices to 8.13.3. It's a real pitty they do not figure out the probs. And yes: even the new functions are not working correctly: sometimes the note-widget on homescreen simply opens the "all notes" view but not the intended note.
  17. I tested this with EN 10.6. I also see the obvious lag in starting up cold without internet connection. But eventually I could get a glimpse on my offline notebooks at least... sadly the notes did not show none of the embeded images which they did when online. Considering that, offline is not totally working for me too. Aside to the huge performance drop missing consistent offline handling it is one of the big show stoppers with EN 10 for Android. Schade! @Jörn Pachl maybe you could add the offline topic to your thread title to make it clear to more users. Thanks.
  18. For a lot of us Evernote 10.5.1 was (is) not even usable since the performance break down and all the reported major issues. If this is not addressed in a proper way with 10.6 I have to agree with @David Navigatorthat the main focus should be getting the app to a productive software again. Most of us - on this forum at least - need it as an everyday working tool - so speed and overall usability on the Android system should come first. I would much appreciate if Evernote eventually kicked in and did a bit more caring for the android eco system at last. Since even the updates are staged roll outs I could do no hands on. Can anyone confirm or share that with 10.6 performance increased and the regular bugs (each app start lasts a life time, notes not saving, images not shown, offline notebooks download for ever and so on) have been squeezed? That woud be great!
  19. I would give it a test too, if it would be available in play store. But I am a bit sceptical since the fixed bug list is way too short in regards to all major problems with 10.5.1. Comparing to iOS version development and the huge bug fixing list development still seems mainly focussed on iOS eco system. But lets see in 10.6, fingers crossed they got the cord cut and speed has turned up facing usability.
  20. For everyone struggeling with the problem that Evernote is not usable at all anymore one temporay solution could be to roll back to EN 8.13.3 manually. Therefore you have to delete 10.5.1 (after syncing all contents!), restart, download the APK-file from a download repository. An often told suggestion is: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/evernote-corporation/evernote/evernote-8-13-3-release/. Install the APK (own risk!) Afterwards temporarily disable automatic updates in play store to prevent getting 10.5.1 back with next updates. Maybe this helps! For me it rescued my homeschooling week with my children 😇
  21. As I experienced all external links are opened within Evernote itself (bug) so I think its maybe not Google's fault here. Unfortunately that is one of the reasons I deinstalled EN 10.5.1 at the moment. Maybe someone with a running installation on Android could kick in?
  22. Try deinstalling EN 10.5, restart device, download and install 8.13.3 from an apk-repository (own risk). Example: https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/evernote-corporation/ You have to disable automatic updates afterwards to prevent to get the crappy 10.5 again. Hope this helps.
  23. Please try the following: 1. Did you freshly install (delete EN 10.5, restart device, install EN 8.13.3)? 2. restart the device after installation (yes again, simple but helped me with this problem). Would be nice, if it helped for you too.
  24. Wow, these are major issues as well and will keep me away from re-installing EN 10.5 again to my devices for some time. I think when trying Evernote 10.5 on real world Android devices EN staff would figure out, that they are doing highly wrong. I can only imagine their whole testing and playing around is performed on virtual machines. Therefore they also do not see the extreme lagging performance...virtual machines maybe much faster... well I wonder if Evernote staff uses Android devices at all. From the beginning with the announcement of Evernote 10 for iOS in 2020 the whole Evernote 10 product was built for the iOS-world first. Somewhen they started to focus a little bit more on the windows client as well...but integrating gui behaviour and keyboard shortcuts from the apple world.... Android development comes the very last in priority in my perception.
  25. Yes, Evernote 10.5 is broken for many many users. This is reflected in this forum and in play store also. Even support being asked does not deny this. You're only choice now is to manually roll back to EN 8.13.3 via an APK-installation. You can get the old version for example at https://www.apkmirror.com/apk/evernote-corporation/
