  1. Welcome to the forums. Please be aware that we are other users here, not Evernote staff, and cannot "give back" anything. That said, I use Evernote v. 6.25 on one computer. I am not having any problems with sync, so it is still working. You may need to contact Evernote support about this: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new. They may just tell you to install the latest version, but perhaps they can offer some suggestions to fix the sync issue. Have you tried using the Web client by going to https://www.evernote.com/? Yes, it's the new version, but at least you can check that your notes are intact, and perhaps work with it till the sync problem with the Legacy app is resolved.
  2. On my Home page, I have a widget that appears to be part of the default setup (see below). If you don't see it, it's available (title "NOTES") in the Customize dialog. Besides Recent and Suggested, the word NOTES with the green arrow is a live link to the complete list of notes. In case it helps.
  3. Hmm, I'm on a much older version of the clipper (in Opera). That would explain why I'm not seeing it.
  4. You have my sympathies, but these forums are mainly user-to-user, though Evernote staff may look in at unpredictable moments. When you contacted Evernote, did you do it through https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/requests/new? That should get you to someone who could process a refund, or at least keep it from auto-renewing. Or have you tried just deleting your account, after exporting any useful notes?
  5. So, in the spirit of clearing up confusion, you are not addressing Evernote here. You are addressing your fellow users. But I doubt that you are confused on that point. As you know, then, we cannot actually fix what it is that you want fixed. We cannot even understand what the problem is, since, despite repeated requests, you decline to say how many devices were involved, how one or more of them came to be left on overnight, what Evernote clients were involved, or anything else that might point toward the specifics of what happened. So all we can do is sit here and receive your withering scorn. Go ahead--I'm wearing SPF-80 scorn-block. And a ski-mask, just in case. As long as we are all wasting time here, perhaps I will indulge in an imaginary analogy. I used to belong to the Soup-of-the-Month club, until one month they sent beef and noodle instead of chicken and noodle. I was so incensed that I canceled my free subscription. That was two years ago, but I continue to call them up once a month to tell them off. I have to buy a new burner phone every month to keep from being blocked, but I get such satisfaction from my triumphs that it seems worth my while.
  6. At what point in the web clipping process do you get this prompt? I've never gotten anything from Web clipper about Tasks. I don't have any tasks, but I don't know if that's why.
  7. That's helpful to know. If all you need is online storage, and none of the "fancy options" involved in creating notes that are more than labels for attachments, then $35 does seem reasonable. For those who use Evernote primarily to make notes, IMHO it was under-priced even when it was set at that level some years ago.
  8. In this related thread, a couple of users report near the end that the problem has resolved for them:
  9. What plan are you currently on? I take it that its features are what you need, and upgrading to one of the current plans wouldn't offer you enough added value for the cost. IMHO Evernote has been underpriced for a long time, and the need to increase prices and move people to current tiers has produced some understandable irritation. But even grandfathered plans may need to die sometime. (Is that why grandmother has that smile on her face?😁) Yet Evernote is not threatening to kill them off, only nagging people to upgrade/update. The nag is the price you pay in order not to have to pay a higher financial price. At least that's how I understand it.
  10. This. There are a number of people reporting this and saying it's a new development with v. 10.52.8. Others of us are not experiencing it. Hence the people who are experiencing would help themselves and others by reporting it directly to Evernote support. We're only other users here.
  11. Can we get some more detail? What is the source of images you're trying to copy (Web, Word doc, computer file, etc.)? What type(s) of images (JPEG, GIF, etc.)?
  12. Thanks, @Boot17, that's probably it. A really useless piece of non-information, if one uses quite a few reminders, as I do. I'll get used to ignoring it.
  13. Yeah, I was thinking that. But I just went through all the settings categories, didn't see anything new, and the blue dot remains. A very minor mystery, but a mystery.
  14. This seems like a dumb question, but in Evernote 10 for Android the 3 lines/hamburger menu at bottom left sometimes acquires a blue dot (see attachment). I assume this means there is some new item somewhere in that lengthy menu, but I can't figure out what it should be. Anyone know?
  15. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (I'm a stylus fan). Exiting the editor is instantaneous. A couple times I have seen an edited note retain the green needs-sync label in the Notes list, even though checking on another device shows it has synced. Forcing a sync removes the label, but it's disconcerting. Taking a pic was again essentially instantaneous for getting the pic in the note, exiting, and syncing. I'm pleased with the performance so far (almost entirely at home with a good WiFi setup). But I'm remaining alert.
  16. Dude, not going to repeat my previous comments. Just reporting the post.
  17. 😲 I've just upgraded to v. 10 on Android (with a new phone) and haven't seen this yet. But I know there are reports of serious issues, so I'm crossing my fingers.
  18. @1alex, if you force a sync, the scratch pad should update to the latest version from another device. But TBH I'm not sure that's how it was designed to be used. It might be safer to create a utility note and pin it to the home screen, and do the necessary editing on that.
  19. Or take a sec to make sure a note has finished syncing before you shut down a device.
  20. Out of curiosity, does this high CPU usage affect your computer's performance, or is it just something that seems out of whack and therefore to be avoided?
  21. I have v. 10.52.8, and just checked to find 1% CPU use or less on 4 processes. Who knows. If my computer isn't being dragged down (i.e., running slower than I can type) I'd never think to look.
  22. I just got a new phone with Android 13 and upgraded to Evernote v. 10 (my old Android 9 couldn't install it). I like it overall, as I'm used to the features on other devices. But I'm disappointed that the quick note feature from the notification bar pulldown seems to be gone. As others have said, that was very handy. There is a "simple note" that seems to be the same thing, but created from a homescreen widget, which is much less convenient than just pulling down wherever you are. Am I just overlooking it, or is this feature still missing?
