Then it's likely user error. Searching for something in your browser is not going to show up in your Evernote search history without something else going on. It simply does not work that way.

I've been thinking about it. But I have almost no software, I don't download anything from the net, I don't put extensions on chrome. And I'm generally careful about data security. Searching for bugs didn't turn up anything. And this whole thing literally just started with the latest Evernote update.

Same and agreed. If I want to separate a paragraph or a chunk of text, I'll hit enter twice. If I'm writing a list, taking notes, or otherwise want several lines together, I'll hit enter once. Now, I don't have that choice, and I note it appears to be the same in this forum comment as well. If I keep typing long enough to make a paragraph, it will wrap the text to keep this second line tight to the line above it, but if I hit return, it will automatically space it like a paragraph. I don't mind EN adding new features, but it's frustrating when they make these additions and don't give us any control over them.

funny I just typed "evernote forum" into google to post a message to the community about weird notepad behavior, and the search engine immediately showed my query among recent Evernote searches. wtf?

I’ve been using EN reminders for years and find it absurd to consider removing this helpful functionality. I really am finding each evaluation of EV makes it less useful to me. No Widget screen, changing links to blue, now no reminders tab- these recent updates are completely arbitrary useless to me.

I used them as intended, too. Now I manage reminder functionality in a different platform. Given EN's tendency to deploy faulty updates and remove features based on who knows what sort of data, the less I rely on the BS team to keep my workflows going, the better.

Feeling a little confused. Today, Evernote's search box suggested in recent searches the things I searched for on Google. Since when does notepad follow my browser?

Currently I don‘t think you can. Most annoying but like the (bad) design choices they probably think they know best.

Am I seriously the only person who uses note reminders as intended…? I personally use them every day - they’re an extremely helpful feature!

I'm experiencing this problem today. Stacks in shortcuts won't open to show notebooks. Can't reorder any of the notebooks. I'm on Linux so all I have is the web version.

Hi. Liking EN since BS took over. BUT there is an abuse of the notifications area. I suppose that this was once useful for letting me know that sync is not working or my account has a problem or something critical. But now it's about "new features" And a clic involves going to read some web page. NO THANKS, I have other things I need to get done. There's no way to mark them as read. And now it's starting to pop up message boxes and bug me to read them. Too invasive. Anyone know how can I get them to lay off bothering me so that I can just use the software? How to mark read and or delete? Thanks.

How do you downgrade to previous version? And also: How do you change automatic version updates of EN to manual ones?

This is one of the most lenient forums I've ever seen in regards to moderation at times maybe too lenient.

I came in here today expecting everyone to be reporting problems. My Evernote for Web interface is a mess. I have a shortcut stack called "Work" in my shortcuts. Today, it won't open to show me the notebooks. I deleted it from shortcuts, went to the actual stack in "all notes" and figured I'd add it to shortcuts again. No way to do that. Those three dots above disappear when you click on the stack. So I added just the notebooks from the stack to shortcuts again and I figured I'd just reorder them. Can't do it. They won't drag and drop like they used to. I don't know how many people in here are still using the web version of Evernote, but if anyone is, would love to know if you're seeing problems, too.

We are pretty lenient here. Discussions about why people are leaving Evernote for Obsidian, or comparisons on what Obsidian does better are fair game. I think that Evernote would be interested in those reasons. When the discussion starts moving to how to optimize Obsidian and how to get plug-ins running, then I think we have gone beyond Evernote's intended use of the forum.

I think listening to the moderator is the right way to go.

Though, I don't see any problems to discuss a competitor in a separate thread like this, I'll better leave it to TRUE evernote users because this topic is already far off from the originally indented.

It is an Evernote user forum. You just said it. It's not an Obsidian user forum like we've established and you've agreed to.

Maybe recreate en_backup.db and see if that helps.

The thing is, I migrated to V10 over two years ago and have been using Evernote-backup for over a year. The backup is automated every week. It was only today that I started to run into problems.
