  1. Past hour
  2. This evening I sat down and compared the features between Personal and Professional, and realized that the two plans have changed so much that the Pro is now beyond my needs. I don't do enough PDF editing to need an Acrobat subscription; I used 4 GB of my 20 so far this month, so that 10 will not be a constriction; and I explicitly don't want AI features. So I dropped back to Personal. The increase will be 30%, still a lot in the abstract, but working out to a cost of only $2.50/week. I spend more than that on a weekly slice of pie with our granddaughter, and my Evernote usage is well worth it. Glad I did this and didn't go with the Pro subscription just out of inertia.
  3. Today
  4. Yes. Aswering your other reply, i just loggin in using the Help page to submit a ticket, then i go to evernote, and i am not loggin out. Seems like is a problem of the Main Login Page.

  6. I seriously doubt it, I'm running a pretty new iMac with an SSD and plenty of RAM. And keeping an app open or not is not the point: it simply shouldn't take 15+ seconds to launch - EN has too much cruft and no way to disable 'features' I don't want (hello A.I.). Bottom line: when the end user upgrades to a new version and immediately notices a massive slowdown in performance, something is obviously wrong. From my earlier example, if Transmit suddenly went from a 2-second launch to a 10-second launch, you can be sure I would be notifying their team to fix it.
  7. I'd rather let it bake and get released when it's ready rather than them rush it and cause bugs.
  8. Yes, I saw that one and am hoping to see it released soon.
  9. One was shared in the March video. It's in progress from what Federico said. He also indicated that the team is working on 1 major project a lot of small ones. I'd imagine RENT is the major one.
  10. Most software developers use methodologies to classify priority for features and bugs. See this article on scrum: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Scrum_(software_development). I'm not certain that is what BS is using but they probably look at how many people normally sort within stacks, knowing this is broken and based on those analytics prioritize fixing a bug like this accordingly. Personally before you mentioned this it never occurred to me to sort the notes within a stack. I would assume the amount of users using this feature is quite low, Bending Spoons would know for sure. You have two options: Accept the feature is broken and assume it will be fixed in an indeterminate amount of time Find an alternative solution that meets your needs. Posting on the forum isn't going to get the bug fixed any faster. I use and pay for a ton of software and there are very few products I don't find bugs in, I normally document and report them usually with a screen recording to get my point across. Some of these bugs that I've reported for various things have been in queue to be fixed for over a year now. It's just how software development works. This is normal.
  11. Today I used the Evernote Web clipper and as far as I can tell it caused the loss of a couple emails that I sent. They are nowhere to be found in the Gmail Sent folder, or Drafts. At some point the Gmail error message came up. The Evernote web clipper was like a time bomb waiting to happen. Lost important data. Lost time. If the messages did send, now there more lost time having to resend another email apologizing for the resend, trying to remember what I said before so as to not cause confusion. *sigh* Initially thought it was Gmail. Then experimented and uninstalled/reinstalled the web clipper. And reproduced the gmail error after using web clipper. So very frustrating. Now uninstaling the web clipper and going back to cut and paste. How long has the web clipper had problems? Years? Please fix once and for all. Or perhaps recommend a more reliable third party app we can replace it with as a go between Gmail and evernote. Thanks.
  12. Plus, they are building up quite a backlog of bugs (and the associated support tickets) however they are defined.
  13. Maybe so, if that's the way Bending Spoons operate. But can a company that doesn't care about "lower priority bugs" be trusted in other cases? And how to define what is lower priority?
  14. They are iterating at a pretty rapid pace. From a software development perspective these are lower priority bugs that will likely be fixed with RENT.
  15. I hope that BS can overcome their current difficulties and start responding to support requests from their paying customers as soon as possible. Neglecting customer support is one of the worst ways to save money in business management. It is normal for users to express their opinions about this online. Unfortunately, BS's recent actions are the reason for negative publicity for themselves.
  16. It's not about thin lines. Lines/borders are totally missing.
  17. I'm a long-time Adobe Acrobat user and the newer versions are buggy, too. When you view the PDF that Evernote created and zoom into it, are the table borders and lines still missing? I've learned that some of the line weights don't show up well in a PDF when viewed on a monitor until you zoom in, but they print all right.
  18. You can export pdf, but the result is buggy and not to be trusted. Eg table borders missing, problems with text layout (lines and spaces removed), some task elements are missing, etc...
  19. Not caring about existing bugs, and just focusing on creating new (and buggy) fancy features, tells a lot about the company.
  20. I hope so as well. It would be nice to hear an update on the RENT project.
  21. Sorry. A solution is to block me. 😁 Then you don't read this anymore. I trust Evernote just enough... But it's shaky. I hope for better times.... As a professional tool with a professional price. 👍💵
  22. I still occasionally have this issue. I think the new metadata sync project will hopefully be the answer since a task being completed or not is really just a 1 or 0 stored in the tasks metadata and that doesn't seem to sync properly.
  23. They do. Advise the OP to check their details against this database and maybe change other sites passwords.
  24. Meanwhile, you should be able to access all of your grad school notes by using the web client. Login at www.evernote.com. Vinnie
  25. It's amazing Just now, 7 tasks disappeared, and now 3 appear Maybe if I wake up after some sleep, all my tasks will come back to me Maybe the server added new features and caused the error 😂
  26. I don't entirely understand your use case so this might not be helpful... but in case it is... Have you tried going about it the other way? Instead of starting in the calendar, start in the note. Let's assume you have made a calendar entry in the past, say for a call or Zoom and now you' are about to start the session. Go to the note in your Meetings and Calls notebook where you want to take notes. Use the + menu item or the slash command to add the "calendar event" for the meeting you are taking to the note. Then, when you click on the note icon that appears in the calendar event for the meeting, you will be taken to that note. It sounds more convoluted than it really is. I have a template I use for meeting notes. At the bottom of the template, I have this to remind me to take the extra step: (It's not that big in real life!) Hope this is helpful. Vinnie
