NO fix is available If you are on Mac or Windows you can install the Legacy version. If you are on iOS, there is no way to revert without some knowledge of how to use backups and/or jailbreaking. Not sure about Android as I'm not on that platform, but I'm pretty sure that the new app hasn't been released for Android as of yet. Here is the link with instructions on how to move back to the legacy version: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314-Install-an-older-version-of-Evernote 1 1 Link to comment
Level 5* CalS 5,041 Posted November 12, 2020 Level 5* Share Posted November 12, 2020 The last public version for Windows, 6.25.1, can be found here. Link to comment
FuckYou111 2
Awesome update - I was immediately locked out of all my notes with no warning that I would have to log back in - I haven't had to log in for over a year and now I can't find the right account. All my data is gone and you jackasses have a two week wait time which makes alot of sense as I am sure I am not the only one you completely screwed over. 2 Link to comment
Aquila0 6
I had to update my Evernote, but I don't like it at all. Some essential features (shortcut to create a checkbox, or TABS), are missing. When switching between notes, it does not load my old position, I have to scroll all the way down every time. It would be nice to work with the old version again, is there a way? If not, I'll have to move on to another notes product. 2 Link to comment

coleberhorst 1
After researching it, I don't think using Evernote legacy is a real solution. The language on the Evernote Legacy page seems to indicate they basically aren't supporting it and it doesn't have a future. Is there a guarantee all this functionality is coming back quickly to the new version? I don't like paying Evernote to beta test their product. Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 5,577 Posted November 16, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted November 16, 2020 What support did you have the last two years with pre-legacy (which was exactly the same piece of software) ? Can tell you: Thanks for sending us the ticket, we put it on the list, no we don’t know when it will be fixed, all devs are busy with something else, etc. OK, what do you get today: Thanks for sending us the ticket, we put it on the list, no we don’t know when it will NEVER be fixed, all devs are busy with something else, AND YOU CAN UPGARDE TO v10. Find the difference (hint: I made it easy for you) ?! So if I did without much support (special thanks to the contributors to this forum ! ) for the last 2 years, why should this change now all of a sudden ? There is a while until my subscription is up for renewal, and EN will probably get it done. If not, I know where to put my money. Currently we are all sort of sitting on the same boat, fog over the water, compass broken, captain drunk. If „support“ in such a situation means you need to get a hug, please feel hugged. I wait for an engineer to arise from the machine room telling me it is fixed, or I head with my data for the life boat. 2 Link to comment
marcwade 2
I've been a happy and faithful (and even evangelistic) Evernote Premium user for more than ten years. I don't understand why the new version was released when so many features had not yet been implemented. App Preferences?!?! Going back to Legacy now. 2 Link to comment
gabrielsg 1
older version was so quick to open notes, this one lags all the time whenever i open a notebook or a single note. Also these slow animations when expanding my notebooks. What a terrible idea. I can't even change the style on notebook names. Only good thing about this new version seems to be the dark mode. I couldn't even find a OPTIONS menu on this version... Also why is my account name wasting screen space? I don't need to be reminded of my name everytime I open evernote window. Is there a way to hide it? To be honest I don't care, I'm back to the older version. If it evers stops working and they force me to use a newer version, then I'm out. 1 Link to comment
OlivierPZZZZ 1
Another long time paying user here (10 years maybe?), who sticked to this app despite the lack of evolution over time, and who's appalled by this "upgrade". I'm done with you, Evernote. 1 Link to comment
powerstonediesel 2
Thank you for this information. I hope this works like the Evernote just prior to this release. Some core features that are necessary for us are missing from the "new" Evernote. I really hope they are added back in or we will have to look for an alternative! Link to comment
Level 5 PinkElephant 5,577 Posted November 18, 2020 Level 5 Share Posted November 18, 2020 Depending on what functions you mean, you can wait it out (maybe use legacy until v10 has matured) or start searching richt away: What features are no longer supported in the new app? This is not an exhaustive list of features, but the most notable include: Local notebooks Presentation mode Context ScanSnap Evernote Edition firmware and software How to install legacy: https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/360052560314 Link to comment
thvin 0
I installed the version 10 today and now just relized that a lot of fuctionality is gone!? Where is the presentation mode??? Please bring it back Link to comment
GumbyOTM 0
Thankful to whoever posted the legacy version. New version is awful. Tried to give it a chance, but can't stand it. Link to comment
mapski99 0
More notable missing items.... Useful additions and features are missing! Improve table functionality "Services" on the mac Size 13 font, size 15, 17..... And the keyboard commands move between the pre-selected font sizes in the list. Fonts except for the 5 preset fonts given to us. There are many more than 5 fonts that are built-in fonts on Win/Mac/iphone/android. A font menu. Exporting more than 50 notes. (I was using export as a local backup.) Why so much wasted space at the top of the screen??? Clicking an internal (or external) link is now a 2-step process. I use them to bounce between files, it's a hindrance not a benefit. Link to comment
PabloM 5
Evernote 10 is terrible, I am reverting to the previous version!!! No import folders (essential), no local folders, what they were thinking about? Link to comment
Dawid Michalski 0
New Evernote took some shortcuts, like Ctrl+Alt+H which I'm using in another program and I cannot find a way to change it... I'm going to uninstall it... Link to comment

PValk 2
Same here. Keep paid user for many years. Evangelist. The new handwriting sketch thing bites the big one, the widget for my android that showed me a filtered list of items to take care of is no longer available. Evernote was so a big part of my daily routine and now it is at least 60% useless for me. Does anyone know of a good replacement? 😠 Link to comment
Canoe176 0
I am truly disappointed with Evernote for iOS. The new version is full of bugs but I have managed to do work-around those bugs but my major disappointment is that as often the case with Evernote new releases, you loose functionality. Over the years, this has happen too often. I often resisted moving to the new release because I knew that I would loose a cherished feature I liked. The latest one for me is the Siri feature has now disappeared. What is wrong with the project managers at Evernote that they remove features and expect their client base to remain faithful. I have been a faithful premium member since the start but this time I have had it. I can't even go back to a prior release. My membership is up next month and I am seriously looking for a more professional service that I can l count on not to break or remove existing features. Link to comment
egkjgsdfasdf 1
My handwriting keeps converting to text. I do not want this. Is this because of the new update? The only option is to disable it in Scribble in the Apple functions, but then it does not recognise handwriting at all, rendering Evernote pretty useless for me now... Link to comment

Are you trying to use the Sketch feature in the iOS app? If you are you don't have to turn of scribble. You just have to start a new Sketch note or insert a sketch once in the app. Also check to see your pen that you have selected. The Apple tool palette will sometimes default to the Apple scribble feature in certain apps and you have to switch it to the regular pen. 1 Link to comment

Charles the Confused 0
I have been using Evernote for years and have been struggling to understand what possible comedy of errors could have led to the public release of Evernote 10. Yesterday it had problems syncing a note it had already said was "saved" and reverted to a previous version with the last 10 minutes of edits being lost. Last straw, came here to find alternatives, trying Legacy. The awful dashboard was bad. Burying the sync button was bad The ridiculously long load times were bad. The amateur-hour move of releasing an "upgrade" that removed important features like highlighting for several months before re-adding them was bad. Losing data is completely unacceptable.
