  4. I'm very glad to read this. Yes, there have been hiccups during the RTE release, and yes, 10.59.5 was much more buggy than we wanted because we updated pretty important stuff under the hood. But with 10.60.4 and with a lot of work being done by the team on the backend, I am confident you can already see much better reliability. And hopefully that'll only improve in the future.

  8. Looking into this. This is correct, as you cannot scan a QR code on the same device where you're displaying it. But obviously pasting & typing the key should work. I'll report back when I discover more.

  10. I'm looking into this. I just tried a few times and it seems to be working fine (all notes appeared in no more than 10s). Two questions: Is this still happening? We were migrating/updating some mail-related stuff on Friday. If yes, how many emails do you forward per day? There is a theoretical cap at 200 emails/day, but that's been there for years and we haven't changed that logic.
  11. We have been 100% focused on deep infrastructural work and reorganization. As we get comfortable with the stack and the new org, we'll resume other important but not critical activities, such as communication. For instance, we will reintroduce full changelogs with new releases, and we plan on posting a monthly update on the blog. But first we had to dedicate fully to core stuff. Hopefully you'll see the benefits in the coming months.
  12. Lately we've disabled new activations of 2FA through SMS. During the next few weeks we will remove SMS as a 2FA method for all users, and we will start asking those who have set up 2FA with SMS to move to a system like Google Authenticator, Authy, 1Password or similar. (EDIT: yes, you can choose any of these methods, just select "Google Authenticator" in the flow) This will significantly improve security for Evernote AND users (in short, SMS are a bad way to do 2FA).   14. Bug-fixed passcodes are going to be reintroduced with Evernote 10.53, likely out next week.
  15. Temporary update is out with disabled passcodes. Let me know if you encounter issues. Android team now working to fix the bug and reintroduce passcodes.
  16. There is a bug on the latest version of Evernote for Android that only shows a white screen if you previously set up a passcode. We will release in the next few hours an updated, temporary version that disables passcodes so you're able to use Evernote. Later we'll release another version with fixed passcodes.

Thanks to the reports from Experts, customer support tickets, and users here in the forums, we were able to greatly improve performance on loading times server-side (already in production since ~a week ago), identify loading performance improvements client-side that are going out with the next updates, and find an important lead to what might cause sync issues 👉 If you experience an issue, please send me in DM or to customer support the note URL, the client logs and the approximate time at which you had the issue. This is the most powerful thing you can do to ensure we solve issues as quickly as we can.
  19. For sure it will. The only thing that needs to be understood is when. For now, there are still many people using Legacy. I know it might sound unbelievable to users that are so interested in the product that they participate in the forums, but most of them don't know they are using Legacy, or don't know there's a newer version that's actively supported. They just know they are using "Evernote", and they have every right to think so (at the end of the day it is technically true). So we built the update popup for them, and we're seeing that the vast majority is choosing to update over time.
  20. We had to work with what we had. I know the update popup message is slightly confusing (unless you read the whole text) and that Legacy gets uninstalled (which is not ideal for those who would like to keep both clients in parallel), but that's the default behavior and we could not change it. I assure you that keeping Legacy alive is preventing us from improving v10 backend several orders of magnitude more than our work on AI Note Cleanup and new features in general.
  21. Latest macOS version is 10.58.8. 11.38.0 is a weird version (don't know how old) that I have no idea why a few users were running. We removed access from that version, you need to reinstall your client. https://evernote.com/download
