  1. That's on me. The team identified the issue before releasing, but since fixing that would have required additional time, I made the call of releasing 10.53 to address all the issues of 10.52. This took away further time from the fix for the long note creation times on iOS and Android. A fix is being tested right now, hopefully we can begin the rollout before the end of the week, although I cannot guarantee that yet.
  2. In this one, I tried to dive deep on a few of the structural changes the team worked on in the last few months. I hope you find it interesting. https://evernote.com/blog/future-proofing-evernotes-foundations/
  3. We found the bug @Janessa reported. It will require a client update. I'll work to make sure the fix goes out with the next update.
  4. We just resumed gradual rollout of 10.53.1 on both Android and iOS. There is still some slowness that I wanted to solve, but 10.53 in general is much better than 10.52, so even if not 100% perfect, it's still an improvement. We'll likely release more 10.53.x fixes over the next few days or couple of weeks.
  5. The default log level is fine, thank you @eric99 Yes, we are also working on better instrumentation for spotting these issues.
  6. @ClaireBear81 Sorry to hear that, I'll look into this too
  7. Can you tell me more about specifically what's slow in your experience? I use it everyday on my laptop and it is pretty fast, especially since v10.60. Are you talking about note creation, note loading, app launch, uploading attachments, moving notes, creating notebooks...?
  8. @MarcUsaurelius read here: https://support.1password.com/one-time-passwords/ Although I don't suggest generating 2FA codes in the same service that stores your passwords, it defeats the purpose of "2 factor" authentication.
  9. Evernote desktop 10.60.4 is available to everybody 👉 If you are on 10.60.4 and lose some data, please send me a forum DM with (important): app logs URL of the note where you lost content an explanation of the steps you went through We are dedicating a lot of effort to solving data loss, but we have not been able to reproduce the issue, as it appears to happen infrequently and randomly. So we need your help. Thank you!
  10. We pulled back 10.53 from the phased rollout because we were observing not-so-great note creation time performances. We'll release a 10.53.x most likely next week.
  11. When I see reports of "notes all disappearing" it's always because people don't realize they are logging in/signing up with a different email account/google account than what they were expecting. Did you double check the address? I've never heard of this issue to actually manifest itself, pardon my skepticism. If it's actually the case I'll investigate with the team
  12. @eric99 yes, we're aware. It's a client slowdown, we're fixing it in the next version. Probably out next week, but not sure yet.
  13. This is odd, we didn't touch anything on the forum side 🤔
  14. As said elsewhere, for the foreseeable future our firepower is >95% on performance and reliability.
  15. Fixed it, sending the new build for release to Apple & Google
  16. We fixed this. It was an issue affecting @Meursault and 17 other old accounts. We are now looking into why notes are slower to create for these accounts compared to others.
  17. @yakir That is used when the browser doesn't have access to indexedDB, which is the technology used for the database. It's basically available everywhere. Your browser most likely has some broken setting
  18. It's a phased rollout, it will go out gradually over this week. If you can't wait, on iOS you can update by directly visiting the App Store page. On the Play Store unfortunately you need to wait, there is no way to update manually. Changelog: (Android only) Restored the passcode lock screen. Fixed a sketchpad duplication bug. Fixed the layout of the Insert menu in landscape mode on some devices. Fixed a bug that could cause new Sketch notes to be created inside the default notebook instead of the selected notebook. Fixed a bug that could prevent you from typing in the "Find in note" field. Fixed an untimely debug message that could appear after login. Fixed Japanese typing delay during real-time collaboration sessions. As said in other messages, we're focusing on speed, stability and reliability, so: 👉 Please report in this thread any issue you might find on this new mobile version
  19. Probably you guys have no idea how useful reports like these are to us We investigated, the reason it was 50/50 is because we have 2 servers processing emails (for load balancing). Mails are assigned randomly to one of them. During the (Italian) night, one server stopped processing emails but for some reason our alerting system was not triggered. No data is ever lost, as you know from your experience, it just takes a reboot to get it working again. But we're now looking into why it stops working sometimes. If you encounter further issues please tell me, we aim at processing all emails in no more than a few seconds.
  20. We found a bug (it's actually been there since 2013, lol) and fixed it. Now testing, if everything works we'll release the fix tomorrow morning (Italian time). You don't need to update, this is backend-only.
