  1. Quick one to let you know that we started the rollout for AI-Powered Search on mobile too! Make sure you update to mobile 10.57.0, as the previous version contains a performance bug on AI-Powered Search.
  2. Spring Fall Cleaning: we removed more than 7k lines of code, resulting in a leaner, more efficient note-taking machine. As usual, it's a gradual rollout but you can get it early at evernote.com/download Please, use this thread to report issues you specifically experience on 10.64.
  3. Also, are you able to change your password? Can you login on your phone after having changed it? https://www.evernote.com/ForgotPassword.action
  4. Changelog: Performance improvements and miscellaneous bug fixes Introducing AI-Powered Search! Simply ask a question and AI-Powered Search will immediately give you a direct and succinct written answer based on the content of your notes. Coming soon! It's a phased rollout, it will go out gradually over this week. If you can't wait, on iOS you can update by directly visiting the App Store page. On the Play Store unfortunately you need to wait, there is no way to update manually. Please, use this thread to report issues you specifically experience on 10.56
  5. I highly discourage anybody against turning off updates. They contain security patches that help keep your data safe against malicious actors. Plus, we have been rolling out performance improvements that have compounded significantly in the last 6 months.
  6. Try again now, for some reason I had a full inbox 🤦‍♂️
  7. Can you give me more details in DM? Will look into this (Same for those who can't login, although we see from data that this should almost never happen)
  8. I posted here the analysis I promised about the outage. Hopefully it helps clarify. https://evernote.com/blog/update-october-4-outage-a-big-migration-and-a-better-infrastructure/
  9. All functionalities are back to normal. We are observing: The overall latency is lower than before the database migration that triggered the outage RTE is registering a lower error rate than before the database migration If you are still experiencing login problems, make sure you wait more than 10 minutes and then retry. We limit those who try to authenticate more than 10 times every 5 mins to prevent abuse, unlikely for regular people. We'll soon post a comprehensive update explaining what happened, why, and how we'll do better in the future.
  10. This remains the current status. We are aiming at solving the remaining issue today. We will post a comprehensive article with all the details.
  11. The only remaining issue seems to be on the authentication side. If you're not logged in, I suggest you don't sign out until we fix it. But if you're signed out you are not locked out, it should be enough to try logging in again once or twice.
  12. All systems should be functioning normally now. (Note title editing was one of the last things that were missing a fix, let me know if it works now.) EDIT: found a couple more things that are not working, addressing them asap.
  13. Most functionalities should be back to normal, RTE & sync for sure. I need to double check login & authentication.
  14. Yeah you're right, communication needs to be much better next time
  15. We are currently serving 50/60% of the incoming traffic, up from 0% 5 hours ago. Still making progress.
  16. Starting roughly 4 hours ago, Evernote has been either down for some people or experiencing degraded performance. This is due to an important migration we were working on. We did not expect to see downtime for more than a couple of minutes, but we were wrong. The team is on it, I will update this thread once everything is back to normal. Apologies for the disruption. EDIT: Everything is back to normality. I posted here an analysis about the outage. Hopefully it helps clarify. https://evernote.com/blog/update-october-4-outage-a-big-migration-and-a-better-infrastructure/
  17. Apologies for the delay, I tested positive with Covid on Monday—my first time after 3 years, I was starting to believe I was invincible On Monday we started the rollout of Evernote Desktop 10.63. While I was off the team also released a couple of quick patches, the latest version is 10.63.3. This is why we love phased rollouts: we can fix issues quickly while very few people actually experience them. Fixes: Fixes an issue where the screen would switch to home when filtering notes including sub-tags. Fixes an issue with "Permissions lost" when creating a notebook while filtering or when restoring a note from Note History in the filter results and clicking on the "default notebook" link in the toast message. Fixes an issue where the 'Filters' and 'Go to' sections were not appearing within search suggestions. Fixes an issue where internal app links didn't direct user to the target note (Windows). Improvements: Improvements and fixes to AI-powered search. As usual, it's a gradual rollout but you can get it early at evernote.com/download (in that page you'll see that there's a new page that automatically shows release notes!) Please, use this thread to report issues you specifically experience on 10.63.
  18. We're rolling out 10.55.1, it's a little patch that fixes an issue where a backend endpoint was spammed with requests from the clients, making backend performance worse.
  19. We're rolling out 10.62.5, it's another little patch that fixes an issue where a backend endpoint was spammed with requests from the clients, making backend performance worse.
  20. Thank you @laurence.glazier for the list. I will get them prioritized. @Alxa that's odd. Can you please DM me your client logs and the date and hour when this happened?
  21. We're rolling out 10.62.3, it's just a tiny patch with a fix for a tool we use for targeting users for different experiments (features, monetization, etc).
  22. Changelog: This update brings to mobile the same missing content fix we released last week on desktop Various sync performance improvements It's a phased rollout, it will go out gradually over this week. If you can't wait, on iOS you can update by directly visiting the App Store page. On the Play Store unfortunately you need to wait, there is no way to update manually. Please, use this thread to report issues you specifically experience on 10.55
  23. I just checked with the team, the IP you see is indeed caused by a server misconfiguration in computing IP addresses. We use Akamai as CDN, there's nothing to worry about. Apologies for the confusion.
