  1. There are auto format options controlled by Evernote, and others controlled by the Mac OS. Have you looked at the Mac keyboard text shortcuts?
  2. You might want to indicate your support by voting for the feature request posted in the feedback forums. For example https://discussion.evernote.com/topic/96782-feature-request-inline-tags-create-anchor-points-in-notes
  3. Moved to a feedback forum to be better addressed as a feature request. Please indicate your support for this feature using the voting buttons in the upper left corner
  4. That is really sad. Supposing instead of TAG, it was called FOLDER. Would you consider using it then? Note - This works for the Windows/Mac Tag Hierarchies. On my iPad, there is no hierarchy and the Tag<>Folder analogy fails
  5. I don't understand that statement. Have you really looked into using tags?
  6. Moved to the feedback forum to be better addressed as a feature request. Please indicate your support for this request using the voting buttons in the upper left corner
  7. I updated my post to also show the search box; in addition to the search builder, you can also type in the search box
  8. No multi select, but you might find it easier to use the search builder at the bottom of the search window >>Tangent: they are nested under a tag called .recipes but as far as I can tell there's no point to nesting since I can't grab the top level tag to get all the children. What am I missing? I understand this is an option in the Windows version; it will make it into the Mac version some day There is still a benefit for organizing your tags. Also you can expand or collapse parent tags. My collapsed tag list is very compact
  9. @vasuh You might be interested in this discussion. It looks like a solution to your upgrade issue
  10. Another approach is, I'm the owner of the shared notebook and I've spent time constructing a tag hierarchy If you want to create new tags, let me know and I'll follow up. I also make sure the first note in the notebook (title, creation/mod date) describes the notebook and has all the tags expected for the notebook.
  11. I agree, and I up voted this request. (Voting buttons are in the upper left corner of the discussion)
  12. Personally, I can't conceive of a need for notes of this size. If necessary, I could split up a note into multiple sections.
  13. I noticed this request has 0 votes (upper left corner) Just possible that the developers are working on projects that users voted higher priority.
  14. Moved to the feedback forum to be better addressed as a feature request. Please indicate your support by using the voting buttons in the upper left corner.
  15. This was implemented in the reminder section by adding a Reminder Order field So, it is do-able. I'm seeing it as a question of priorities - is this a feature that the user majority want? I urge you to up-vote one of the feature requests in the feedback forum, or create your own.
  16. What sort sequence do you use. If Title Sequence, you can just prefix the note title, for example !Important_Note If Create_Date Sequence, you can set the creation date. Similar process for Modifcation_Date Sequence
  17. That's something new. I haven't noticed posts being deleted. I've seen admin step in and close a discussion when things got too heated.
  18. As I said, I'd prefer Evernote focuses on high priority items High priority items may be bugs or feature requests; I have indicted my preference on individual items (there's voting system in this forum to help identify priority) The "crime against humanity" concept has been expressed, but I'm not currently worked up about any bugs (I do like that quote - thanks @csihilling) @WeCanLeanAnything has suggested any bug over 12 months old should be the high priority. I don't think the user population would be in agreement.
  19. How about posting this as a separate note and ecouraging user support in the form of votes. No guarantees, but it it gets enough support it will come to Evernote's attention.
  20. I use the Notability app. It's good for pdf annotation, and it is a good note taking tool. I have no concerns with using dedicated apps when I need more than Evernote's basic features. I often see statements in the forum of the form: I'm leaving Evernote if the don't implement xxxx. I just continue on making use of the Evernote feature set, I consider it good value for the money.
  21. No career, but full disclosure - I get the Evernote software for free. I do have a good user experience with the software and service.
  22. Interesting perspective, and it seems to be echoed by others in this discussion. Personally, I've never taken it that serious. I prefer that Evernote focus on the high priority items. I'm usually able to work around the bugs.
  23. Thankyou for allowing users to vote, and not just bug fixes; there are all sorts of requests for feature updates There's just so much whining going on in the forums, with users stressing that their work is more important than other users. Edited constructive suggestions
  24. I was not aware that "EN is unable to handle it". I thought it was a priority thing, hense my posting the request so it can by voted on.
  25. I favour the system where requests are posted in the feedback forum and users vote. This allows Evernote to devote resources to high priority items. Also, do you have a suggestion for funding the work by the DRI, particularly when they're working 100% on a specific item
