  1. I edited my post to show my comment on votes related to the current time frame Maybe now this conversation will get back to Selective Sync
  2. The voting numbers are one of the indicators that I use; and Evernote has said they are using it Anyways, the issue I was contesting was "I think is probably the most-requested feature"
  3. Can you explain "probably the most-requested feature"? The request doesn't seem to have gotten that many votes (in the current time frame)
  4. It's ok that we disagree. That makes a good discussion. Personal attacks are another thing I don't have much to contribute to this thread, but I appreciate what I'm learning from it.
  5. Any intelligence issues I may have are not pertinent to this discussion
  6. This discussion started in 2009 and is now 20 pages The original post was responded to by Evernote, and stated there would not be a linux client A reasonable person would have recognized this and looked for solutions elsewhere.
  7. If Evernote had a $ for everyone "considering" to pay, they would....... Why don't you "consider" upgrading to the Plus account
  8. Both? Mostly, I just use the Windows forum even though many suggestions are multi platform. I figure if it gets into Windows, it will make it to Mac eventually.
  9. +1 I'd move this to a feedback forum so it be voted but I know how feel about that
  10. I could also list a lot of examples of money saved because of stored receipts but for me, a more compelling story is the baby archives My daughter archives and shares pictures, videos, and recordings of my new granddaughter She uses Evernote and shared notes, and they are available to all family with internet access and I can access them whenever I want. And they will still be there years from now Thankyou Evernote people
  11. So @gustavgi Was right; there's a good reason for Evernote to not implement this feature Very sneaky @David Reed, @Hongbo-Miao I thought you were pushing this request for something like not having personal notes on a work machine It didn't occur to me to use Evernote as a file storage service
  12. I don't think thats correct. Some people are using Evernote via the web and mobile platforms only. Their data is only stored in the cloud, not on a hard disk. Its an interesting perspective on the request. Of course, users are still bound by the monthly upload limits. If that was unlimited, I could see some users abusing the service
  13. I'm not sure what you're talking about. This discussion is on selective sync (offline notebooks) that has already been implemented on the mobile platforms.
  14. I understand why they implemented this for mobile accounts - storage space on devices is limit I don't see the urgency for desktop computers with bigger storage resources - can you elaborate on the issues you see for yourself?
  15. Did you go to your personal account settings subscription page?
  16. I'm sticking with Evernote too. There are a few messages complaining about the new price plan, and grumbling about the large increase I see thousands of messages from Base tier users. They are complaining about the device limitation on the Basic accounts. There was no price change for them (free account)
  17. I took the announcement as a warning I went to my account settings subscription page. I see the old prices listed, and I can renew for a year at those prices.
  18. Currently only available on the mobile platforms This has been submitted as a feature request in the feedback forum. You might want to go there and show your support by voting
  19. Thats it for you @Drold Your conduct has been reported and hopefully shortly your posts and userid will be erased
  20. I think its a brilliant idea. Its seems to be causing a lot of the non-paying users to leave. These are non-paying, and will never pay. And it's more incentive for new users trying the service, to switch to a pay account
  21. Please don't hijack this discussion. You sharing issue is being addressed here
  22. I am committed to using the Evernote service for my digital filing - this is long term, and I have no reason to leave. I consider it good value for the money The recent price increase is a fact of life, and I'm not going to go ballistic over it I've seen posts from "loads" of users declaring they are leaving. My assumption is that they are using the Basic (free) Account tier, and are perturbed at the new device limit, I suspect it's just ranting (weeping and gnashing of teeth), but they don't represent a loss of revenue to Evernote
  23. On one side, we have Evernote setting up a voting system, and employees recommending voting On the other, @GrumpyMonkey and @Jbenson2 are saying voting doesn't matter For myself, I will continue to encourage voting and to get the counts up particuarily on the features I need And for the record, I agree that this process is flawed and could be improved, however thats a different discussion. This discussion is support selectively sync notebooks!
  24. As I said, I was looking at the number of votes. I'd like to get that increased to let Evernote know that user's support this request
