  3. If notebooks are deleted from an account, the notes go into the trash notebook. There are no known cases of Evernote casually deleting notebooks - the most likely explanation here might be that you actually created a new account rather than re-opening the old free account. The Forums are mostly user-supported, and we don't have any visibility of passwords - best advice would be to use your subscriber email support and contact Evernote direct - ask them to check whether you have any other accounts against your user name or email address - and list any other names or emails you might have used initially.
  4. Hi. Where to begin. Go to Evernote.com and sign in with your user details. You'll be able to see your notes on the server. You cannot export notes from the web app. Uninstall whatever Evernote installation you have on your SSD - if it was copied from your hard drive it's corrupted - hence the error messages. Reinstall Evernote from Evernote.com and again sign in with your user details. Your database will download from the server. Once the new database is installed you'll be able to export to ENEX or HTML and save any attached files as required. EDIT: -and I didn't catch the Yingxiang connection. Thanks @agsteele! - best advice: try the above, but if it doesn't work: talk to Support!!

I doubt it - it looks like you just managed to find a gap somewhere between being logged in with an old password and authenticated a couple of different ways where the system thinks you're in the middle of changing the password and just let it go. As long as you do have 2FA active and a unique password used only in Evernote, you should be as safe as it is possible to be. We're a user-supported forum though, so with all matters connected to security - contact Support if you want a specific answer.
  6. Hmmn. The usual suspects are interrupted syncs or multiple accesses, but I guess if you have a note-taking style that Evernote has a difficulty with - switching between notes a lot or working for long periods on one note - that might generate some issues. Best I can suggest is - be aware that this sometimes happens, keep notes short (making a lot of short notes instead of one long one) and close each note as it is completed...

  8. In the Windows Legacy version it's possible to use the 'super' help option available via Ctrl+help to refresh some indexes - anything there on thumbnails in v10? Legacy just has text search and the like...
  9. So maybe it was the next update that fixed it? If your worst problem is that you got the icon back unexpectedly, it looks like Evernote is doing pretty well...
  10. Are you logged into the same account on both? If so, try signing out of Evernote and back in / restarting your phone / uninstalling and reinstalling the app. There's also additional help here: Tips for troubleshooting syncing issues

  13. Hi. Moved to the right Forum. Do you have Evernote open on any other device when you're getting duplicates? Any sign that you have a poor connection to your network provider?
  14. The server takes a little while to process thumbnails and sync them back to the device you're using?
  15. Hi. Open the file in Excel from the note, or download the file, edit it in Excel and re-save the content back to a note. (Depends on your device, OS and Evernote version.)
  16. Hi. If you still have the access details - even if they include a defunct email address - you can still access the account. Once logged in you can change the email address to something current.   20. Why do you need a link to share a website's contents to Evernote? If you can see a web page in a browser, use the browser extension Clipper. If you see it on a mobile device - https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us/articles/208313678-Save-clipped-content-on-iOS-and-Android-devices it's not rocket science...

In my experience v10 just kills the weaker of the two laptops I use, so I stick with (pre) Legacy - and I don't want to install it on the other to avoid forever having to adjust muscle memory from one to t'other. Evernote's last blog says they're working on syncing and speed though, so fingers crossed...
  23. Hmmn. I'm being told "Your account will downgrade to free on 2022-01-30" (which is fair - I had an annual membership due then) - and - Free = Automatic Tag Hierarchy (??) + 3 Note Filters (I currently have more...) Subs show up as 10 USD or EUR which is around £8.50/ month - so around 3x the previous cost. Ouch. EDIT: as @agsteele suggested - I subscribed to consider my options over a little longer than the next 10 days... Don't see any reference to Business in my dashboard though, and there have been a slew of developments in the last two months to look through...
