  1. Hi. I have this feature active, and it's generally helpful in that if I find search hits within my existing notes I can avoid duplicating the time and effort of finding the information again, and maybe clipping web pages more than once.
  2. If you're using a free version or the subscriber version that has been replaced, probably not. If you're subscribed to one of the paying versions (as I am) you shouldn't be seeing such notices and should report them to Support.
  3. The community is perfectly entitled to contact Support for assistance and get some individual feedback on whether it's possible. The community should probably also look at other providers to see whether their apps perform better. It's pointless to continue using software that doesn't behave in the way you need it to - either report the issue and see whether it can be fixed, or find something better... Forums are mainly user 2 user - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client).
  4. Same answer. It isn't Evernote's issue if the local device can't play a sound file in the format it was saved. Use a different format/ convert to a usable format and play as required.
  5. No The table shown earlier is published by Evernote, so regardless of whether the situation has changed (though I don't think it has), the position now is that free users don't get offline note access. That won't change whether you use the new v10 app or the old 8.13.3 As to getting past the 'please wait' screen using the old app installer on a new 'phone, the 'fix' seems to be to talk to Support and supply an IP address and User Agent. However if Support now say they can't help - and it's Evernote's policy not to support anyone, subscriber or not, on the old apps - there's not much anyone here can do. Your only choice seems to be to use v10 or find another note-taking app.
  6. ? These Forums are mainly user 2 user - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client). You really need to raise this with support, because I've not seen any similar reports in the Forums, and they could hopefully examine your system logs to help work out what's happening here. When you drag/ drop files into the folder, have they recently been created by another process? Is it possible yet to delete the files once they've been imported? The only suggestion I can offer for the moment is to install the Legacy client alongside your v10 app, and to use that for the import process. If it goes wrong, at least you don't have the 50-note limit to worry about...
  7. Good answers. OK - still seems likely that downloading a 4MB file over a local connection is going to take a while, and maybe Evernote give up after a certain time. You'd have to check with Support if you can to verify that. Meantime, if you know what files you need, you could look into 'offline notebooks' if you are a subscriber... Set up offline notebooks on mobile devices
  8. My original suggestion should (I think) be safe with Legacy local notebooks if you do the operation in one day, but just to be sure - export your local notebooks to ENEX files before anything else, then save them somewhere safe as a contingency backup. Copy and move your databases folder as described, reinstall Evernote and log out. Copy your 'old' databases folder over the new version and log back in... ... OK! The old ones are always the best...
  9. Always a good choice <grin>. If you're a subscriber I'd suggest you raise a support ticket via the link above - as I said before, there's not exactly a deluge of complaints about this, so it seems like edge case time again...
  10. Hi. Can you see notes that do not have a PDF attached? Are these especially large files? What sort of a network connection do you have? -Good / medium / bad / home wifi / work wifi... And what version of Evernote are you using?
  11. Hi. No. One of the basic rules of databases is 'search before save', but I fairly often create duplicates with clips and scans. I'd rather have that happen, than have to wait a few seconds every time for a scan or a clip, and possibly have to check through a few similar notes, each time I saved something. I delete, edit or merge apparent duplications each time I find them as part of my normal 'housekeeping' of the notes database.
  12. Maybe when the new v10 came out? That would have been around 2 yrs. If you're making handwritten/ drawn notes it would obviously be better now to find something other than Skitch to use - various options have been discussed in the forums, and I'm sure you'll find a ton of suggestions with a general web search. You'll presumably want to look out for integration with Evernote - don't know if there are any useful suggestions here: http://appcenter.evernote.com/ -And when you have a candidate, maybe you can check to see whether it's possible to export or copy/ paste from Skitch in case you need to edit or combine notes at some stage. Meantime if anyone else is using Skitch with v10 - are there any issues out there?
  13. That link gets me "Error 1020 Ray ID: 6e7288b85eca88b6 • 2022-03-05 11:32:58 UTC - Access denied" All of this seems a whole lot of trouble to go to when the menu bar at the bottom of the screen gives me instant access to any of the apps I currently have running, and Alt+tab pops up a jump screen where I can instantly scroll to the last app I used and/ or between all of them. The occasional 'stay on top' windows I get are usually more annoying than helpful - just a waste of screen space (and I use three monitors!) - unless they're warnings of some kind.
  14. Hi. The community can't help. because we're (mostly) just other users. But if you have a subscription query, talk to to Support. https://help.evernote.com/hc/en-us
  15. I'd doubt there's a way to change the automatic process, but you could save maybe your own template (if you subscribe) and copy content from one to the other...
  16. Hi. Do you have a library of existing Skitch notes you need to access? Or are you just starting with Evernote? If you have an existing library, when did it stop working for you? If you're just starting - Skitch is not the best note-taking app to run with...
  17. Again, please explain exactly what you're looking for and on what device / OS? After 2 years of silence on this topic and a massive 12 users wanting it, Evernote is hardly likely to go to the trouble of developing a new feature just for this small audience...
  18. Hi. Contact Support... These Forums are mainly user 2 user - subscribers can raise support queries here - https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new and Free users here - https://twitter.com/evernotehelps (or use the feedback option in the mobile client).
  19. Hi. A 'screen grab' should be a JPG of the current screen. In which event the text would not be a separate paste-able element. Are you sure you're not clipping an HTML version of a web page with embedded images?
  20. On the basis that Skitch doesn't seem to have been updated for about 10 years, I'd think the chances are pretty low...
  21. Want some constructive suggestions, or just having a winge? Details would help...
  22. Hi. Are you a subscriber? Free users don't get email access. Have you ever been able to receive emails into the account? If so, when was that, and what has changed on your system since. Finally, are these emails being redirected automatically, or sent manually? And have you checked that they are being sent to the correct address?
