  1. Hi. Seems to me that there are a lot of random variables here - what if there are already images in a note? What if you actually want a picture inserted in the series? What if you take pictures in the wrong order? Rather than build a foolproof option system it's easier to leave the user to move the images around. Plus it avoids having more choices to make before you take a picture. There are various work-arounds - you could take pictures to your camera roll and then add them to one or more notes. Haven't tried this, so I don't know if selection order works, but worst case you could add images to separate notes then merge the notes... Anyhoo - this is a new feature you're asking for, therefor your request needs to be in a votable thread - would you like me to move it?
  2. Hi. If you click in any cell of the table you should be able to delete the column or the row. Keep doing that until the table is gone...
  3. Yeah - I think corporate everywhere is waking up to the idea that employees sharing their commercial information outside the company network is probably a really bad idea. The staff tend to have different views though - a while ago I worked on a Secret Squirrel (UK) government operation and was.. surprised.. to find my assignments being delivered by Dropbox. The managers of the project were super-careful about security, but lower down, the actual workers were just concerned with getting things done. The only way to ensure confidentiality is to block external connections...
  4. Hi. I don't think Evernote had to make a special effort to ruin your day - Windows got there first... Windows 10 and 11: Easily Take Screenshots on Your PC - CNET
  5. Hi. I think the practical limit to the number of widgets is how many you can see in the drop-down list. Only Professional and Teams subscribers can have more than one copy of a widget. What limits apply to those accounts, probably only Evernote knows. You may have gathered that the Forums here are mainly supported by other users, so unless it's been published somewhere on a Help page, or someone has used a feature in the same way that you wish to, we can only guess. As a subscriber you can certainly contact support with such queries - if you do, we'd be grateful if you could share the responses with us! Note: depending on what sorts of widget you're looking to set up, there may be ways to get the same result using saved searches or external resources like Filterize. I use Filterize forinstance to run my to-do lists, which are automatically-refreshed tables of content which include 1) open tasks with due dates of today or earlier 2) open tasks due in the next 7 days starting tomorrow 3) open tasks with dates from tomorrow + 8.
  6. Hmmn. The 200MB limit is a restriction, not a target! Given the natural uncertainties of internet connections, moving nearly 200MB of data to the server, and from there to any other Evernote clients would have been a crash waiting to happen. It's far better to use many small notes than one humungous document. You could try contacting Support to see if they can help further, but if you can re-clip those images from the original source you'd have a far quicker resolution to this problem.
  7. If you open the image outside of Evernote, your system can use its own resources to show it. Inside of Evernote it will be subject to the limitations of Evernote's own code or that of the wrapper service via Electron.
  8. Not sure if that's inside information, criticism or an attempt at reverse psychology; but unless you work for the company you cannot know that to be true. And if a toggle list is really important to you, you need a different application.
  9. Thanks for the clarification. Can you advise how big the original single large note was? I'm thinking that if Evernote told you about maximum note sizes, it was because you were close to or over the maximum size. If that were the case, the original images may never have been saved...
  10. In case I didn't already mention it, don't forget that the Win key + an arrow key will move rogue windows in various directions including minimize and restore, and jump it from half-size right on one monitor to half-size left on another.
  11. Hi. To be clear, are you saying that the image shows on your desktop but not on the other clients? Given that 2MB (app) of image files need to sync with the server and then back down to the other clients, how much time did you allow before looking for the images? If they're still not showing in all clients - were these clipped or camera images?
  12. Hi. You don't mention how many notes are involved here, but I assume it's too many to consider a manual transition... in which case I'd say you have three options. Leave the bulk of your notes where they are and operate a 'just in time' policy of moving notes across only when you need to actively use them. Add all new notes to your new Evernote database. Means searching in two locations, but avoids spending hours trying to migrate in one operation. Generate some kind of 'table of contents' note (if you can) in NB and move that to Evernote. Means you can now -mostly- search in one place for routine issues. Output as many NB notes as possible to HTML or document files and use an Import Folder to add them to Evernote. You'll likely lose links and tags and folder information, but can probably rebuild that over time using Evernote's search feature. It's very possible other options do exist - watch this space for suggestions! Good luck.
  13. ...and in case it wasn't clear from the preceding comments; you can't import a group of files as one unit. Either you'll have one note with multiple files attached to it, or multiple notes each with one file. Evernote doesn't recognise the concept of 'folders' except that it is possible to group notes together in Notebooks, and Notebooks together in Stacks.
  14. I recently topped 60,000 notes. On my 4-year old laptop the app struggles a bit, but on a recent SSD fitted desktop it still flies...
  15. Just a random thought, but would an academic literature management app like https://docear.org/ help?
  16. Hi. I totally agree that the more content you have, the more likelyhood of a false positive hit on a word in the database. I tend to try to cure (or at least reduce) that by using phrases and composite searches - a phrase and a single word or specific keyword that is most likely to appear in my target sources.
  17. Hi. You've mentioned 'long pressing' a couple of times as a trigger for various actions... how does that translate to desktop devices where that is not an option?
  18. Hi. Even if the monthly or annual payment fell through for some reason and the business account was downgraded, you should still be able to log in to a Free personal account. You should be able to contact Support via https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new - use 'continue as guest' if necessary, and query type "Account".
  19. Hi. Are you starting your attempts to contact Support at https://help.evernote.com/hc/requests/new ? If you have issues there with logging in, there should be an option to 'continue as guest'. Choose Account for your issue type.
  20. My bad - I was thinking of local (i.e. unsynced) notes here, not just offline working.
