  1. Hi. If you raise a support request you normally get a ticket number by return, which is marking your place in the queue. Once the support team have dealt with queries placed before yours, a tech will talk direct. At the moment it's taking 7-10 (working) days to get responses, and one of my reporting tickets got an acknowledgement after a month. The team is very VERY busy. The Forums here can normally help at some level with everything except passwords and payments - if you'd like a speedier response please tell us your device, OS and Evernote version, and give us as much detail as possible about your issue, and someone should comment within hours...
  2. Hi. The app print process is not very flexible - maybe view via the web and use your browser printer for more options?
  3. Revo is free, uninstalls everything to do with a specific app (unlike the native OS) and AFAIK easy and quick. What's not to like?
  4. Hi. It's a minor miracle that Clipper can raid other websites for content at all. Accurately replicating the layout may not be possible on some. Maybe try a screen shot or a different app like Nimbus?
  5. No longer a stunt... https://evernote.com/blog/evernote-free-note-limits Exporting - Export notes and notebooks as ENEX or HTML Bye!
  6. Hi. Are you sure that the duck-related email address is the one associated with your account? (If that is your address by the way - this is a public forum and visible addresses might be harvested by others, You may want to blur it out...) The reactivation image simple says that address is not associated with an account. Where was the notice that the account has been deactivated sent to? There's a lost password option on the Evernote.com site - if you have other email address options you could try them there to see which one works...
  7. Hi. You don't need to get rid of the app, but a clean reinstall may help. Sign out, deleting your local database, then power cycle the device and re-download / reinstall.
  8. The 'free' alternatives either show you adds, sell upgrades as part of their process, or sell your activity data to others to fund their services. Evernote do not. On your other point I've already seen one user say "50 notes is fine - I only need 36" - and it is enough to see how Evernote works. If you want to use even part of the full service and you need more than 50 test notes, then you need to subscribe.
  9. You should be able to export your notes to ENEX files - one notebook at a time - and then re-import them into your chose notebook, Export notes and notebooks as ENEX or HTML
  10. Hi. I'd suggest you check with iTunes and -if necessary- ask for a refund. The price increase was announced months ago and was being sent direct to those paying via Evernote a month before subscriptions were due. AFAIK it applies to everyone regardless of prior account status: you're either Personal, Professional or Teams. You may wan to check that iTunes got this right...
  11. Hi. Does this added attachment take you over your note size or monthly upload limits? Have you added attachments like this in the past? What kind of file was saved back to your system? Is it JPG or PNG?
  12. On this occasion it doesn't look like a rescue is on the cards. Fabian Richardt from Filterize confirmed to me a couple of days ago that the sync & code changes introduced by Evernote are messing with their system, and it doesn't look like they can continue to offer even a limited service. He did say that if there was enough user interest, they might consider open-sourcing parts of their code, though that would only be helpful for technically skilled users. An individual service would need to deal with authentication (via Evernote dev support) and running a local personal server. Fabian didn't seem hopeful that the API issue would or could be solved however and has apparently been told by dev support that the current API won't be updated. Whether or not that implies there will be a new one I don't know I've already had a confirmation that my monthly subscription has been cancelled and that the service will close on 31 December. I've been looking at how automation systems might be helpful with Evernote -- basically these act like text expanders; with Evernote open on your system they can run through a sequence of searches and keystrokes that could potentially carry out a repeated search and replace operation, or move notes to different notebooks / apply or remove tags / maintain ToCs much like Filterize does. (Though much less conveniently or accessibly). Power Automate in Windows seems like a possible candidate - and by using ChatGPT to help me write the code I have covered some simple operations. I guess this might be the incentive to do something more about it! If anyone has a better idea, please join the discussion; If you have used Filterize, please list your processes briefly here - whether moving / tagging / dating / indexing / etc. Don't know whether @Federico Simionato could take a look here and consider whether Filterize's processes might be added into Evernote's future features - there's already some overlap. Once they have time maybe a little automation could follow... If you're a Filterize user and you'll miss the service (which seemed to save me a few hours general admin time each month) please let Evernote know! It is/ was a good service and I am very grateful to the Filterize team for providing some valuable help along the way.
  13. Hmmn. Have you tried moving to another note to force a sync, then coming back and retrying the AI feature?
  14. Hi. I've not seen that issue reported before - have you tried exporting to HTML too? Depending on how many notes are involved here it might be feasible to copy missing titles from one archive to another, or maybe isolate the affected notes to determine why this is happening? Which versions of Windows & Evernote are you using? Can you see any common factor in the missing titles notes?
  15. I'm running Win 11 and EN 10.67.2 and get "very low" usage across the board. If you've uninstalled using Revo and checked the acceleration settings after reinstall then it really means waiting for the next update (if the devs can see any issues from their side) or going through Support.
  16. As usual I seem to be the outlier - quick note works for me... either right click or left click generates a note without any issues.
  17. Yeah - Bill Gates never replies to my emails either... it's a CEO (or Head of Product) thing... 'Spoons wound up doing Italy's Covid monitoring app, so I'd say the parent company are a serious IT powerhouse in Europe. All the (2-3?) takeovers I've been involved with involved something like the current situation: a lot of folks saying "they bit off more than they can chew" / "service is terrible" while the new owners work behind the scenes to fix things. A lot of people leave for various reasons; every competitor in the market talks in terms of a crisis to recruit as many new clients as they can - and then the new company gets it together, uses their resources and expertise to move back to being the best-in-class, and a lot of temporarily former users climb back on board making much less fuss than when they left... Personally I'm cutting out the middle acts and just sticking with a subscription. It may take a few months more, but I'm sure we'll get back to normal service soon. I'm just glad I'm not part of the crew bailing madly this time around. The new Evernote team seem competent, professional and determined to get this thing back on track. I'm impressed that they got things this far in less than a year. 2024 should be interesting!
  18. Based on what we other users know so far, your Evernote Plus account will be converted to Personal at next renewal at a significantly higher cost. Up to now a shared account has carried with it the permissions of the owner - so theoretically your 'free' users will be able to edit and add notes to your shared notebook. Copying or moving notes into their own account would be subject to the now standard 1 notebook / 50 notes limits. However I don't know how the '1 notebook' deal affects sharing - will users be limited to 1 notebook even if it is a shared notebook from somewhere else? On one hand this means Evernote lose out on making paying customers out of everyone in situations like yours, where shared free account notebooks are used for teaching - on the other hand they may see it as a good use of their apps. Only time (or @Federico Simionato) will tell... If the shared notebook idea doesn't work out in your favour, you might want to look at Postach.io for your own account - you can create a 'blog' based on one or more Evernote notebooks. Just add the tag <published> to a note and your students can access the content as easily as a website.
  19. Hmmn. I had a recent Windows update to the new version and that box remains unticked... worth checking though!
  20. At a rough guess... New owners buy the company - have limited 'hands on' experience of supporting these individual product features New fixes for existing problems - syncing much improved, but occasional glitches cause additional support requests New features added - increases support requests and feedback Fixes cause API changes that glitch connected services - third-party companies and users report issues US staff given generous severance and project moved to Italy - in house staff find volume and nature of support requests more than expected Across-the-board price increase - greatly increases volume of complaints / refund requests New initiative to limit Legacy users and promote v10 usage - greatly increases 'new user' support requests for assistance with unfamiliar product Latest initiative to greatly limit Free accounts to avoid substantial and unproductive drain on resources - greatly increases feedback traffic Once into a bit of a support 'hole', impatient users start to repeat requests, further increasing admin overhead Adding new staff and resources to clear volume takes time - weeks to recruit and more to train. New staff take a while to deal with queries efficiently. Meantime us users in the Forums here may be able to help if you specify Device / OS / Evernote version number and supply a detailed description of what technical issues you're dealing with...
  21. Nope - blue is the colour on my Windows 11 notes too... -Which begs the question - how are you choosing text for highlights? Clicking and dragging the cursor?
  22. So the 'killer' fix is usually - uninstall / power cycle the device / re-download and reinstall...
  23. With a bot of help from Bing GPT (misspelling intended) I got these uses for Evernote going forward - Recipe Collection: Save favorites Learning Notes: a new language or studying a new topic. Book Summaries: to remember key points. Travel Plans: travel itinerary, places to visit, restaurants to try... Fitness Tracker: workout routines and progress. Meeting Minutes: important points from meetings or conversations. Event Planning: parties, weddings, guest lists, food, and schedules. Budgeting: monthly expenses and savings. Gardening Notes: when seeds are planted, when to water, tracking growth. Dream Journal: record dreams as soon as you wake up. Seems like it's still a great app to use from a mobile for instant access - even if the notes have to get transferred elsewhere later...
