Same story as for me ...
A simple note taking app evolved into a powerful productivity app (at least for my use cases), now I use Evernote more than ever before.
For me speed and reliability are now much better, especially regarding Windows client tasks handling as well as the whole Android client experience.

FYI, it does not work for me with the Windows Evernote client (latest version) either, no editable fields at all, even not with the Evernote Web client.
Should those fields be editable?
This function is still there, but after some tests the option for encryption was also gone for me.
Just restart the client and the option appears again ...
